Tacky paint on rubber fix

Painted my rubber grab handles and they were super tacky. I let them sit for a day and they were still tacky so I Googled around a bit a found a old talcum powder trick. So i applied the baby powder let it sit a few minutes then rubbed it in with my hands then my shirt and you can barely notice the difference in color but all the tackiness is gone.

i don't know why anyone would give this a thumbs down, this same process worked perfectly for me with weather stripping on my newly painted screen door
