There is no Defender with 100k miles without lots of defects & problems. While there are cheap BYD taxis in China with 1 million miles running without any problems.

U8 is not an EV but rather a range-extender electric vehicle (REEV), like it also has an ICE engine paired with an electric motor except that the drivetrain configuration choice has differentiated it from the regular PHEV cars.
Correct me if I am wrong. I thought the U8 is an EV that has four electric motors, one for each wheel. My understanding is that its petrol engine does not directly power the vehicle but is actually used for generating electricity to charge the batteries, in other words sort of a generator.
