The only problem is that most flooded areas din have such a nice obstruction free environment and 3 tonnes easily get stuck somewhere. Inflatable still best😅
This is ONLY for emergencies. People are deliberately driving the car in lakes and making videos. They don't understand that once you do it, the car needs to be completely taken apart and cleaned.

We used to associate cheap with copycat and obviously worse, but china is changing the game, by showing impressive levels of innovation in manufacturing and design, they’re literally improving upon henry ford and rethinking the entire manufacturing process, allowing them now to build cars with absolute no competition, in all areas: build quality, safety, efficiency, performance, tech AND at the same time offering record low prices. Absolutely impressive

Real people drive their cars 100k km or more, rubber seals & door gaskets will deteriorate in that time & pretty much no one replaces them. Kinda like how an iPhone is waterproof when it’s brand new but after a year of regular use good luck.
Great idea but open to the possibility that some drivers may attempt to cross a large lake or even go out to sea which is not a good idea. I can imaging the coast guard being called out to rescue a family in a car at sea.

Amphibious vehicles aren't new. They just aren't typically offered these days. Based on this unrealistic calm flood demonstration, it's a feature that's practically useless against any type of substantial current if your vehicle was in a flood or high water.

In real situation... a vehicle might be in fast flowing water... not still water as demonstrated. With fast flowing water... a vehicle might turn upside down... question 1... is the vehicle water proof when upside down ?.... or 2... can the vehicle self righted itself when turned upside diwn by fast moving water. If both 1 & 2 is yes... then it is really good.
Very impressive and any technology that can save lives in life threatening situations can only be cheered for. But it's not the first car (though maybe the first modern super deluxe EV car) that has this technology. The Amphicar, invented in the 1960's, even featured in Dutch and Belgian (low budget ;-) ) television series. And also in the British series of The Avengers (again, somewhere '60's/'70's). And the Russian Sharp ATV has a more basic and world doom scenario version of it. What I would love to see is how and if it all works when a car hits water in a real life situation and the impact in the water is like hard, from a height (like a dock) and in a second. Because face it: this is the ideal scenario.
