    Thanks for the video! I just replaced both on my 2009 Honda Civic and the AC sounds and feels great. The resistor screws on mine needed a Phillips head rather than the star head. All in all, took me about 1/2 hour and most of that was digging through the garage to find the tools.

    Awesome video! Thanks for the help. I was able to change mine out today. My 2010 Honda Civic LX had the same issue. I didn't want to wait on the shipping so I bought it at Advance Autoparts for $87.

    Great video. It walked me through replacing the blower motor on my 2009 Civic. In my case, I needed a T-20 screwdriver, not T-25, but that only slowed me down by a few minutes.

    My god, this looks so easy. Just need the star bit. I have a 2011 honda fit, but from a few other videos I have seen it looks like about the same setup. I thought for sure this was going to be under the hood somewhere. Thanks for the great video!

    My fan had a loud rattling sound. So with the help of this video I opened it up to check things out before looking at replacements and I found an acorn inside of it! Must have fell in when taking out cabin filter or something! After taking it out and cleaning the blower it sounded new! No need to replace it for me. Thank you

    Thank you; I did the replacement today;
    But, it was a pain removing the screws to Blower Motor Resistor unit;
    it's WAY back underneath!
    I used PB penetrating spray then used a Phillips screwdriver
    Blower assembly was easier to unbolt.
    But, I wish the bolts came with the unit such that they would Not fall out but dangle.
    It works wonderfully Now!

    I was wondering if the blower motor needs to be replaced or if it's my filter system blocking the flow of air... I feel the air is not blowing as strong as it use to... Especially on high.
    Also... The air isn't as cold as it use to be... Friend told me it needs a recharge on the AC... Looking into this.

    Thank you for your help. I ordered the blower motor and blower motor resistor. I followed your instructions, however the blower motor connector doesn't fit on my car, even though I got the replacement from autozone. The wire connector to plug into the blower motor is wide, but the new one is smaller. I cannot seem to find the right size. 😬

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would contact AutoZone and see if you got the right parts or if there is an adapter that need to be plugged in.

    Thank you for this video. I replaced both on my 2009 civic coupe but it appears as though it gets stuck in a position? I hear the blower at full blast but not full air coming out from vents. Both for hot and cold. Some days it works and some days it doesnt. It also starts full but when I get driving it seems like it gets stuck in a position where it's not coming out of anything but I can hear the blower at full blast. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

      Piondragas there are servo motors in the air box that are most likely causing the problem. They control the blend air doors. I would try finding a diagram of your model in seeing where they’re all located I believe on the Hondas you can access them without taking the entire dash out.

    I replaced both of these parts just like in your tutorial and the air still won't start and I have no idea what it could be then. and I'm really reluctant to have to take it into a shop since I just spent money on a new parts that probably didn't even need fixing. Bummer

    Thank you so much for the video! Is there any way I can find out if I only have to replace the resistor or the motor alone? My AC has been progressively sometimes turning on and sometimes just being dead for about 3 weeks until this morning it just doesnt turn on at all anymore. Thank you again!

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ESCAPA MARKETING VIDEOS so if you're a fan was working on high only I would suspect the resister. But if it does not work on any speed at all it's possible the fan went out. If you have a way to apply 12 V to the fan to see if it'll run that would be the way to go.

    • @escapamarketingvideos35
      @escapamarketingvideos35 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey thanks for responding quickly man! So yeah right now its not turning on at all... before it went out it was working on all speeds...but for 3 weeks sometimes it was dead sometimes it came alive.... is it possible its only the motor I have to replace then? Thanks for helping man, I dont know much about cars, Im just asking, but thanks to your video I think I can do this myself. Thanks

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ESCAPA MARKETING VIDEOS it is possible it's just the motor. If you're able to remove it you may be of the take it to a place where they can use jumper wires to see if they can get the motor to run consistently. If you or if you have somebody at power and ground to the motor and it does not run did you know that's the problem if it runs in the resistor is the problem.

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Diego Garcia you possibly could have a bad controller in the dash. You have to check to see if it’s getting a signal from the controller to the blower motor resistor and if you aren’t then I was Spectre resister if you’re not then I would suspect the controller or the wiring between it

    Hi there from Brazil! My blower was malfunctioning and I bought a new one and just replaced it and tested it and it is now fine. I did it before see your video. The doubt I have is about the Resistor, is it necessary to change it if is working (as in a recommended way)? Or just the fact that it is working is fine? Thank you so much for sharing this.
    Best regards,
    Jorge

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jorge Campos I recommend them because they are a common failure. But the way you did is just fine. If it starts giving you problems suspect the resistor. Thank you for watching!
