We use clear plastic packing tape for everything in my apartment 😂 it works perfectly but depending on where you put it, it’ll peel the paint off. But that’s better/ easier than having to repair chewed doors and baseboards.
Love you Hailey, and your rabbits, But goodness I am glad mine are a lot less high maintenance:) I could never keep up with all this bunny proofing! Thank goodness my sassy angles aren’t big chewers:)
Some really good ideas there. My bunny climbs x-pens I have discovered as I have a 4 and 5 foot x-en joined together so I have now got a make shift cover over the front corners of the pen and she hasn't done it since - this was the first and only time she has done this. I have her in my sewing room because it is a long room and I can close the door on the cats. I have been busy cleaning sorting and tidying the space she is not in and I have bought conduit to cover all my cords with so that should she get out again, she is safe along with all my expensive things. Another thing you could have done with the one doors was to make a door cover from the pine where you'd just slip it onto the door - that's what I would do as I don't have a very clever dad who goes above and beyond to make all this fabulous stuff like your dad does - he's very handy to have around isn't he?!
I would use the hard corner protectors. You can cut the hard plastic to fit the height of the corner. Still, they can come off and be chewed through if you have a determined bunny.
I have a big walk through metal baby gate. I cut down and zip tied NIC grids to it. It looks very clean and is also sturdy. My polish loves to shake and rattle it but so far it hasn't budged in over a year.
My Neverland land dwarf rabbit is coming on Friday and I need to bunny proof but thankyou for all ur tips I'm gonna try and free roam my rabbit and litter train her u are my inspiration
You're dad is amazing with wood and doing stuff for you I wish i had to do that for Me and my rabbits but I'm learning to do stuff myself :-) though it doesn't look the best
Another super helpful video! I’m 61 and just rescued a rabbit. I’ve learned so much from your videos!! Thank you! Re: the piece of wood the x-pen panels sit down in, did your awesome dad cut out the channel they sit in or are there wood pieces you can buy that has the channel already cut?
I really want a gate to block the rabbit off from the living-room when I'm not around... But all the pet gates I find are either made of plastic and wood or they have wide bars that my bunny can easily slip through. I'm not allowed to put holes in my wall to make a gate like yours. What should I do? Right now I'm just using a large box, but that's not going to work forever!
My dwarf rabbit goes straight trough my walkthrough baby gate 😑 ive tried adding metal fencing to block the gaps but when you open it the gap with the hinge gets smaller so it doesnt work xD Im looking for a solution, theres cool retractable ones but they screw into the wall and im in a rental 😩
I protected my corners with a clear masking tap thingy. The teeth glide over it but they can‘t grab it. It works fine for me. But my bunnies aren‘t that destructive in the first place.
So nice ! My room's door has a lot of texture so my dad put a mirror at the bottom and it works very well + my bun can see hi beauty lol but the back of my couch suffered a lot... gotta buy a new one but don't know how to bunny proof it, he's so frustrated and angry when he can't go behind the couch :/
What I’ve seen some people do is pull the couch out a little bit from the wall and put a bunny tunnel behind it for them to run through. Maybe that would help?
Hi! I have two bunnies who are bonded. I’m not sure what your bunny goals are but if you just want your bunnies to occasionally meet daily, as long as your bunnies are comfortable with each other (can have close contact either side of a play pen or something) then that should be fine as long as your supervising. Both bunnies will need to be spayed or neutered to prevent territorial behaviours, and you will need to be close by in case fights break out. Bunnies can be housed together once bonded, which 101 rabbits has videos about. Can I ask why you only want your bunnies to occasionally meet and not be bonded?
In the bunny room we used pine wood over the baseboards to cover them and my dad went ahead and nailed them into the wall with a nail gun as nail holes are easy to repair in drywall. But I understand if your renting you might not be able to do this. I that case I would try to get some 2x6’s and place them in front of the baseboards, cut them to size for your wall, and if they don’t stay in place try putting a small patio brick or something in front of it?
my friend uses a water bottle for her rabbits and I've been trying to convince her to use a bowl but she won't give in do you know how I can convince her to use a bowl
Eva secker send her a bunch of vids and just keep bugging her. If she still doesn’t listen take it to her parents with a prepared speech and tell them how concerned you are and how it’s so important
Bunnies are just softer, cuter, more fragile, and more active babies (NOT saykng a baby isnt fragile, but i was told if you get ur bunnies esr wet they die and im not planning to test that)
My bunny has figured out how to chew completely flat dry wall. I have no idea what to do about it. There’s mutilple holes in the walls now. And I feel terrible locking him into his cage at night since he’s so active at night.
hi thank you for the video. I was trying to see the supply list but for whatever reason it doesn't populate the link. :( I even tried Google searching the link and it just takes me to a blank Amazon screen. Could you please fix it so I may get some of these cool supplies for my new bunny Juniper :)
my rabbit loves to chew on the carpet and my closet doors. she has tons of toys and things to chew on but chews on the stuff i don’t want her to. is there anything i can put on them to stop her chewing? thanks
I'm renting an apartment that has shag carpet and my bunny keeps digging and trying to eat it. I have covered certain spots that he chews but he just moves and chews elsewhere. He hasn't been deterred by bitter sprays in the past and I can't move him to live in a noncarpeted area. He has plenty of toys and chewables that I rotate out so he doesn't get bored and he has unlimited hay. I'm afraid he will do this when I'm not home and make a hole or swallow some. Do you have suggestions?
He has a grass mat that he doesn't use (I've even tried incentivizing it by hiding small treats throughout that he would have to dig to get) and I have tried 2 different digging boxes, one with actual dirt/sand and one with shredded newspaper. He never approached either by himself and whenever I tried to place him in either one he'd jump out and thump. He likes digging in blankets, which I don't mind, and there's usually one nearby for him to do that to, but he still goes for the carpet :/ my next solution is to cover the entirety of the floor with scrap, non-shag carpet that I find on Craigslist. But that solution seems tacky, time consuming, and potentially expensive
Emily Niederbremer I would just take a special blanket just for him and whenever you see him digging pull him a way and give that blanket to him or dangle it in front of him
I have a bunny she is only 9weeks old and I’m getting concerned because we have a hidy house/hutch thing for her and whenever she’s inside it she just stays in the corner and won’t move and I’m not sure if something is going on or she’s just nervous or scared so if any of you guys know what’s going on please help
From my own experience you should use as many mats as possible. I know from my own experience that bunnies can get abrasions on their feet from spending time on hard surfaces. But I bet you know what is best for your babies :)
Does anyone know the breed of the bunny in the thumbnail? I’m new to bunny breeds, and I’m currently taking care of one I rescued that was wandering outside my workplace 😅
Anyone have any tips on how to retrain my bunny to use only his litter box? He was doing so well and in the last 2 weeks he’s been leaving pellets everywhere! 🤦🏻♀️
My cats ligit show no interest in my bunnies.. ligit I broke all the rules I have 2 males who live together that I let free roam around with the cats and dog..
Nice job on the Bunny Proofing! 👍😁 Keep up the great work! But WTH!! No footage of actual bunnies playing in their play pen???!!😡 😡😡😡 Shame on you!!!.......j/k LOL!! 😂....But seriously where is Sterling!🐇🐇🐇
I know! They were all sleeping when I filmed lol! They life to run around when it's dark out so it wouldn't have been as good of light to show everything. Ebony came out briefly to see what I was doing but then went back to snuggling her man. 😂
I need a video on how your trained your dad. He knows a lot more tricks than mine does and his temperament is way more laid back!
Tutorials?
Lol:)
ElevenMuffins Please whooooosh
Ur dad?? How she trained her dad??
Blossom r/umissedthejoke
hahaa
That really made me laugh
*Shout out to your dad* 😂😂❤
Your family seems to support you very much with animals, I'm jealouse
i know I'm quite off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
@Cayson Pierce ehh lately I've been using flixportal. Just google for it:) -dakari
@Dakari Esteban Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!!
@Cayson Pierce You are welcome :D
I just gotta say it again, your dad is amazing. What daddies will do for their little girls ❤️
The play area looks great!
I need to bunny proof my rabbit room so they can be left alone when having play time so this is helpful
You always have the coolest homemade wood things for your bunnies
Yay!! I love your videos! When will you start selling snug-a-buns again?
Can you do a video on the bunnies playing in the play area and like playtime routine? Or can you do a day/week in the life of a bunny mom?
We use clear plastic packing tape for everything in my apartment 😂 it works perfectly but depending on where you put it, it’ll peel the paint off. But that’s better/ easier than having to repair chewed doors and baseboards.
If the paint peels off, how do you hide it? 👀
Yessssss bunny's play time. More Sterling, more Ebony, more Lulu. PLEASE 🙏♥️♥️
Omggg! I love your vids! I have a bunny and without this chanel i dont know if my bunny would be as happy as he is
You did great! Hope Sterling does not figure out a way to chew the barriers.
If there is a way, he will find it.
As far as babygates go, we have the extra tall one from amazon and we bunny proofed it with NIC grids we found at a thrift store! It works great!!
Love you Hailey, and your rabbits,
But goodness I am glad mine are a lot less high maintenance:)
I could never keep up with all this bunny proofing! Thank goodness my sassy angles aren’t big chewers:)
I will try some of these ideas! :)

Where did you get the baseboard things?
I would use the hard corner protectors. You can cut the hard plastic to fit the height of the corner. Still, they can come off and be chewed through if you have a determined bunny.
On the clear protective guard for the trim use a heat gun and lightly heat the guard to help relax the "set" the trim has in it.
I recently learned how to patch bunny-chewed woodwork with wood epoxy. 😬 This video is much appreciated! 😅
My bunny is not very destructive lol but I still watched. I usually on bunny proof things I seem her go after, which isn’t much
I have a big walk through metal baby gate. I cut down and zip tied NIC grids to it. It looks very clean and is also sturdy. My polish loves to shake and rattle it but so far it hasn't budged in over a year.
Ginny Where did you get your NIC grids?
@@LoveABun the ones I have are called Homfa DIY Metal Wire Grid Storage Cubes Organizer on Amazon.
Wow just noticed the price, it more than doubled since I bought them a year ago. I'm sure there are much cheaper options if you search around.
Ginny Thank you! I will look them up!

Re: the piece of wood the x-pen panels sit down in, did your awesome dad cut out the channel they sit in or are there wood pieces you can buy that has the channel already cut?
He cut the wood using a table saw by only putting the blade up half way into the wood.

Ps. I'm a small rabbit youtuber
Ok cool
We use a hard plastic clear corner guard on ours, that way our bunny can’t chew it anymore!
What if your bunny chews on metal? Is that ok or bad?
I bunny proofed too! I did a couple things that might help you
My dwarf rabbit goes straight trough my walkthrough baby gate 😑 ive tried adding metal fencing to block the gaps but when you open it the gap with the hinge gets smaller so it doesnt work xD

maybe use clear tape for the trim on the walls
Can you use mesh baby gates for rabbits?
Tysm! This means a lot to me! Now I can bunny proof my area for my bun bun! ( srry I ish late 😳)
How did you secure the 2x4s to the baseboard??? Just bought a new house as well and my bunnies destroyed my baseboard :/

U can put a ceramic tile on the corner they chew. And u can put cardboard boxes where they chew and dig
