Just go to straight to AliExpress, I'm sure that's where they get all of their product anyway. On there, there are a lot of good watches, though they're a tiny portion of what's on offer, so yeah, the odds aren't good buying at random. Pagani Design makes decent watches (though mostly homages, which will be a turnoff for many), the Loreo Diver is quite nice (though also completely unoriginal, admittedly), and they've got the official Seagull store, so that's cool. Basically, you get what you pay for, and on these sites, you'll find bottom-shelf crap that any store you'd recognize would be ashamed to carry and sell. There are gems in that mountain of crap, but skip the middleman, as I'm pretty sure Wish just buys from AliExpress.
Also, by 'You get what you pay for', I mean that all of the interesting watches I've gotten from here have been over fifty bucks. For less than that, just buy a Casio.
Other than the small specks of dust, it doesn't look that bad for a $1 watch. That band is probably the worst part (it looks like it's made of rat skin). I think I now have the perfect gift for my mother-in-law's birthday!
I love how the seconds hand shutters and jitters between 4&9. I don't know how cheap watch movements work, but that could sabotage the watch's timekeeping and longevity. I guess it doesn't have Citizen's anti-backlash system 😉
I would honestly wear gloves touching these sort of stuff, who knows what sort of post-treatment chemicals are lingering around on the surfaces and just ugh.
I purchased a few very cheap Wish watches and after a few months only have one left - it's a LIGE 'Automatic Mechanical Fashion Watch 1853' with windows to internal works on the front and back; lovely blue face with rose gold dials housed in shiny stainless steel case; nice brown leather strap with solid metal clasp. I wear with blue Jean's and I get positive comments. Would I purchase another Wish watch - NO! I would rather save up for another Seiko or Orient or, something I can truly rely on!

A $1 watch are you kidding me? You're reviewing a toy. Please don't insult our intelligence. If you're going to do a review do a serious review, and not of a $1 toy watch.
It's easy to pick on a $1 watch. However, some of the better Chinese brands such as Naviforce, SKMEI and Curren offer good-looking fashion watches in the $15 - $25 range with reliable quartz movements, full chrono functionality and reasonable build quality. They offer good value for most the world that could never afford luxury brands.

I just started watching this review and as soon as you showed us that the chronograph doesn't work is enough for me. I would never buy a watch from Wish.
As her eldest and only survivng grandson, my dear grandmother (God Rest her Soul) generously bequeathed that exact same model watch "The Geneva" on her death bed several years ago to me . Of course I've cherished and deeply loved that timepiece eversince. I well recall as if it were just yesterday the grip of her wizzened hand holding my own. The rattling gasps of her final breaths as I bent my head down to catch her dying words to me before she departed this mortal coil. "I want you to have this Boo Boo (her nickname for me) take this watch. Look after it. Take care of it and never allow it far from your sight. This fine timepiece will look after you, but only if you look after it. Be a good boy Boo Boo and do no one any harm. Hold your head high Boo Boo as you negotiate life's hurdles. Cherish this watch as it will serve you well. "She rambled on in a similar vein for the following five or more hours. Blah blah blah blah blah blah. Until she simultaneously coughed, rapidly gasped, farted loudly and then finally slumped lifeless into the mattress dead. The point being? I think it's a pretty poor show for you to come on TH-cam just to ridicule other peoples watch choices and acquisitions. Remember one man's meat is another man's poison. We can't all afford to go swaggering about rubbing our Orient Bambinos our Timex Marlins and Vostok Amphibias in poorer people's noses you know. So just you think on young man, that's all I'm saying! Signed... Disgruntled of Mayfair.
I purchased some Skmei, Megir and Sanda watches from Amazon/eBay to see how they were constructed and because some of them were homages to some Casio models I own. I thought Sanda was the bottom of the barrel, but I was mistaken. This fake chronograph is a new low. Besides some interesting novelty pieces, I cannot recommend buying any of these watches; unless you just want to prove to yourself how far superior Casio’s and Timex’s least expensive watches are compared to this junk. One of my Casio AE-1200 (Casio Royale) watches was only $16 on Amazon. You do not need to spend much money to buy extremely functional, well made watches; but you do need to be a little particular in brand choice.
I bought that exact watch from Wish for $0 and $2 shipping. It hasn't arrived yet. I'm going to give it to a 6 years old kid. Also, you can get the Skmei watches from Wish and they're pretty decent. The Skmei 1456 is an all metal, square Gshock homage and for $15-20 it's a heck of a bargain. It's one of my favorite beater watches.
I think I'm the only person that doesn't have a problem with a $1 watch. It's a junk watch that will fall apart within a few months (the strap a bit sooner) but hey, for your young kids just wanting some bling, it's OK. I'd totally hit it with Lysol wipes first though. That is if I can ever find some in the store. 😉

Go for the G-shock knock offs... got a Smael one that looks like a Mudmaster, paid $11 usd. Great deal for the price and looks Great.
I love the macro shots of the chronograph hands that are literally decals glued to the dial. And the fact that the brand is GENEVA. I was so glad to see you open it up and show us the “movement” and then promptly bend the case back totally destroying the thing. I usually hate to see waste like that but it totally deserved it. Omg what a piece of CRAP!
Is the crystal sapphire? Any chance you do a giveaway with this watch? I'd really like an opportunity to win it.
It would cost more to ship it... Its $1, buy one
100k subscribers is coming up soon 😎
Yes, the crystal is sapphire with a healthy AR coating. It's also rose gold, plated over 904L steel, through a separate arrangement with Rolex.
@@watchesandcaps2566 , it's clearly total sarcasm.
@@nates78 LOOOOL
For battery change, you can remove the plastic bracket entirely. Snap it back in after battery is installed.
But why spend more on the battery than the watch?
@@thetimeteller LOL true! Even though there are batteries that are very cheap (like ten for a dollar), I'd just trash the watch if it has stopped. Like you said, it's disposable 😅
I would have liked to see you buy one of the Seiko’s on Wish. I know they are fake when there listed at like 10% of what they normally cost but it would have been interesting to see how bad they are.
Thanks for taking one for the team 👍🏼
I bought this watch from wish and it died inside of 2 weeks.
I enjoyed this video more than I thought I would. This needs to be a regular thing.
The are a few wish watches that are quite decent... Cadison, Parnis and Pagani Designs (all your favorite homages)
You have to review the watch with the fact that it's only $1 in mind. You can't have expectations for a $1 watch.
Other than the small specks of dust, it doesn't look that bad for a $1 watch. That band is probably the worst part (it looks like it's made of rat skin). I think I now have the perfect gift for my mother-in-law's birthday!
Oooh that is cruel, and you're probably right about the strap.
Gotta dig the plastic/cardboard composite strap. 🤣😂. Thanks Jory! You made my day, sir.
You should check out one of the Cadisen models with sapphire crystal and either a NH35 or Miyota movement
I love how the seconds hand shutters and jitters between 4&9. I don't know how cheap watch movements work, but that could sabotage the watch's timekeeping and longevity. I guess it doesn't have Citizen's anti-backlash system 😉
"I hope you had a laugh, I hope you had some fun, I hope you had an allergic reaction and run away from this watch like the plague"
You should have searched for a ‚Perlative Ceronometer. Officially satisfied‘. Outstanding watches.
Awesome watch.... pure beauty, the one watch collection!!!
Pyoor klaas!
Put it on a pink NATO for good measure, and wear one on each wrist
T3: "These watches are basically disposable."
Wish person: "So what you're saying is that I should buy 10 of them. Got it!"
I would honestly wear gloves touching these sort of stuff, who knows what sort of post-treatment chemicals are lingering around on the surfaces and just ugh.
Which Wish watch does the witch wash?
Never buy ANYTHING from Wish
I legitimately could not stop laughing.
The quality!.... THE QUALITY!!!! ;D
I was dying when you were going thru the specs! Specially when you pushed the chrono 😂 nice explorer btw👍🏼
Lollll. You should do video on “Mumbai Specials” next!!
That Seiko shade was too funny! 😂
Hm, buy a Rolex Submariner or 12,000 Wish watches? No idea, man! 😄
You forgot to check the lumen on this watch, I was actually waiting for that 🙈
Is it as good as a Daniel Wellington though?
"Let me take off my Rolex Explorer II" hahaha shit made me crack up.
I'd never buy a watch from wish but what did you expect for $1 ??
If it tells the time and costs less than a battery it can only be good value .
Totally agree with you!
Or a Timex if you want something cheaper
It's a $1 watch.. what were you expecting?
I’m dying :D :D “You are such a snob” :D I’m definitely gonna get one for my collection :D
What we need you to do is buy a recognised branded watch from wish and tell us the experience.
Can someone buy a genuine Rolex on Wish?
You don't find such a thing "branded" on wish, Alibaba,aliexpress... you name it . I stop long time ago to fundraise China's economy. I prefer to buy quality products from certified dealers with a solid warranty, preferably not branded "made in PRC" .
@ProudNationalist Revolt not only Corona... but for so many years they stole the design of so many good things copied and bring the legit company's in they knees because flood the market with shit and cheap products without to pay a penny for design&research. Is on human nature to buy cheap and everybody is happy when find a bargain but ... they ruined good company's with they cheap shits.
@ProudNationalist Revolt that is extra🤣🤣
I was totally expecting you strap watch over a piece of toilet paper 🤣🤣🤣
What a load of crap. But it’s still impressive that one can produce a working watch for less than a dollar.
And post it half way round the world.
Child labor
@@franciscodanconia45 horrible working conditions, of course. But still. I mean only think of the materials, such as batteries quarz cristals, different plastics, paints, screws, then machines, tools, labour , a factory that costs rent, packaging and so on.
I completly understand that one can manufacture cheap plastic parts for under a dollar using injecting molding. But an entire quarz watch made of over 50 parts including manual assembly? It is amazing!
And we shouldn't forget that there is a margin included. They are making profit with that 1 dollar watch!
The immediate damage to the band is supposed to be character
Tbh doesn't seem that bad. I mean it's not something I'd wear, but...it was a dollar.
I was laughing so hard during this episode. Great stuff. The watch for a buck did not look all that bad, but I like how you bent the cheap case back in half.
"Hello, customer care? I think there is a mistake, that watch is listed for a buck. Is that the shipping cost?"
"No, sir, that's the correct price of the watch. It's a great deal because it comes with at least 10 free viruses"
Hey Jory, would love to see a video about your knife collection on The Time Away
It's a $1 watch , it tells the time!
The End
😂😂😂!!! This was hilarious! I can hear the agony in your voice when you’re about to put it on! Lmfao!
Jory be for real. If Rolex were selling a $1 watch my expectations of it would be very very low. You did a review of a Starking that cost $50; why didn't you pick a $50 watch from Wish and review it.
Make this a series. Cheapest watches from differenet online shops. Or maybe better would be the cheapest mechanical/ automatic watch on sites like gear best alibaba ebay wish etc.
There's plenty of room in my trash can for this watch
DUDE!!!
I'm watching this for the 5th time now. Totally hilarious 😂😆😹
Just realized I bought almost that same "chrono" over a decade ago on eBay. Mine had a grey dial. Must have been a drunk buy 😂. Totally forgot about that.
I was so ticked when I saw that the sub dials and function pushers were fake, I buried it in my 🐈 litter box.🤭
Me too! Exactly the same circumstances right down to the disappointment of finding out the chrono was fake. I never wore mine either. I did unearth mine a couple of years ago when I moved house. It made me laugh but I haven't chucked it out yet.
I use these for parts like hands, sometimes watch straps and the date window can be made square.repaint the dial throw the rest away
The title should say 'Never buy ANYTHING from wish'.
I bought a Seiko skoo9 off wish a month and a half ago it's an automatic works great hand stops when u unscrew the crown and pull it out it's water resistant the sad thing witch is awesome and sad at the same time is I haven't had to reset the time at all since I've been wearing it and it is water resistant to but I didn't buy the cheapest one one there I spent$70 dollars on it the only thing I don't like is the pip sitting in the bezel insert but my only complaint so far after month and a half wear it everyday love it
You should wear that watch into the AD for A.Lange & Sohne and ask to look at some of their rose gold chronometers.
Yes! My first quality watch after i got into watches was an edifice chronograph! So excited!
Whenever he sighed after zooming in on the Geneva to signify the transition to him putting it on I just imagined Courage the Cowardly dog going “*sigh* the things I do for love”
Did you notice how the seconds shaft wiggles in the bore? I don't even think I'd use it for target practice.
I think it's DIE CAST case. Like the cheap beauty I have complete with fake mini hands on the dial. Mine actually STARTED clean on the inside and flecks are getting inside somehow. Got some condensation but lost it probably out the same holes.
I have this watch and it's good
I purchased some Skmei, Megir and Sanda watches from Amazon/eBay to see how they were constructed and because some of them were homages to some Casio models I own.
A friend of mine once had a digital Skmei and it's a solid watch.
I got a $1 watch from an Instagram ad. $1 for all my data was probably a steal for them.
I finally understand why the app called Wish, because after you bought from them you just “wish” you didn’t do it.
this is like those fashion glasses without lenses. I am amazed it started though.
That made me laugh for a while ,well done Jory great post.
The subdials hands are printed! THE HANDS ARE PRINTED! I hit the like because I'm a good supporter of the channel, and... next video please!
I don’t know anything at all about your love life, but if that watch doesn’t ignite the passions of all around you, nothing will. Thanks for a great review ... I loved it!
Shitty or not, its second hand hits the marks better than a 400$ Swiss quartz.
Haha love this "review!" Lol as you were popping open the caseback I was thinking "wait a minute, that kind of looks like Hanukkah gelt." Lol good call. Not surprised it snapped like some gelt or matzoh. Sorry...this 8th and final day of Passover is getting to me. Hope you're staying safe and enjoyed some bread tonight. Keep up the great content!
Speaking as someone with a nickle allergy I am right there with you!
