Nice hunt guys. I’ve been interested in MD for several years now but never did anything about it. You guys inspired me so I bought a legend last year and have never looked back. There aren’t a lot of really old finds in NW Ohio but I did find a British half cent anti slave token, circa 1790, less than a mile from my property. Thanks for all the great videos you post!!
My parents owned a luncheonette candy store in Morristown New Jersey. When I was a little boy, this is going back close to 60 years ago. The founder of the seeing-eye dog foundation used to come in our store to buy newspapers, and my folks would ask him questions about the seeing eye dogs, and how he started the organization. The original seeing eye dog is buried up there on that property.
It’s great that you remember that. I was looking into the history of seeing eye dogs and read that the original founder, named Morris Frank or Morristown, starred with 6 dogs. They were all German Shepards and he named them all Buddy. The original “Buddy” might be the one buried there.
@@QuarterHoarder The Seeing Eye is an organization that trains seeing eye dogs. They moved to Morristown in the late 1960's, so the tag is probably from the 1960's or 1970's.
My wonderful boyfriend gifted me my first metal detector for my birthday on April 21st!! I can't wait to get out there digging in Montgomery County, PA! So much great history around here!!!!
Joe’s aluminum token would say “SWITCH to DODGE and SAVE MONEY” on the front and on the reverse it would say “New windstream styling” /“Greater economy”/“Improved air glide ride”/“Genuine hydraulic brakes”/“Safety all-steel body”/“Traditional Dodge dependability”
Love the interaction between you and Doug!!! So much fun to watch. Doug is so funny! I'm betting you guys have been friends for a long time!!! Keep up the great work..love watching you all discover your treasures!!!
Some very out of the ordinary finds great to see..also good to see Doug with no cast or brace lol awesome! Can't wait for the next adventure..stay safe gentlemen
It surprising that quarter hoarder ever gets to detect after running the camera. Thanks to you all for all the hard work you put into documenting your days metal detecting for us. I have watched weekly for a long time and love it!
Great finds and fun times! I sure do remember the yellow pages and using maps to drive, or just cruising around RI find places. The good ol days! Can't wait for next week's video! Wicked happy hunting 👊
Great Hunt guys. Lot's of mixed finds there. Love the Copper Slide Buckle Tie Clip all the Relics. I've been in a area since last September. From the top of these hillsides to halfway down late 1800s early 1900s. Halfway point to the bottom of these hillsides mixture of Relics and Coins. Early 1900s Lot's of 1930s to modern. It's crazy. Take Care all of you

I'm afraid I may never find it again, but I read "on the internet" that a crotal was what they called the ringer inside the bell. In that case, all round bells enclosing a "crotal" would be a crotal bell. No difference between a sleigh bell and a crotal bell, in other words. It was actually a pretty big deal when a guy first patented the method of casting a round bell with the dinger already inside. Previously they had to be made in two pieces and fastened together. If I can find my source, I'll let you know. I believe though that it was a bell manufacturer's page, so not just some yokel like me making it up.

I found a horse harness buckle shield with a patent date 1879. The patent date on mine was on the back side of the shield.
That place has to be loaded with goodies Jason. My wife grew up in Morristown and remembers the Seeing Eye dog training school!
Love the bells. Nice silver Rosie Jason. Great compact Doug. Awesome half cent.
Found you through Green Mountains page. Your all are freaking great!!

Hello Quarter Hoarder,DogTag Doug,Rich and Matt

@18:40 I would assume this is a token from a Dodge dealership based on letter and keywords on the back.
Hello from morristown mn. Not new jersey.
Looks like a nice aera

Switch to Dodge ans save money token. I found one last summer. 1930's era
Fun hunt!! I'm so envious of those bells; even though they weren't Croatals. What did you do to your foot Doug? Nice variety of finds for sure.
