Listen! I made these last year and my husband was like, "I don't know what you did different but make it like this from now on"! Lol They were super easy to make and super flavorful. #MrMakeItHappen did it again #SavedTheDay
My husband found your “liquid gold” recipe for greens to be VERY interesting and made them today. Now when I tell you that these were the BEST greens we’ve ever had, trust and believe this is the only way we will be making them from now on! They were AMAAAAAAAZING OMG!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe Matt🙏🙌🏽❤️
Yummooooo..BRO U GOT SOUL! I have never used celery or onion, but that stock and turkey is on the money with mine. Otw...I use turkey tails and just let them fall apart!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽
Thank you. I cooked my greens with your recipe. OMGOODNESS!! We only made it happen because of you. Not only did my husband loved your recipe so did my cousin & I... These were the best I've ever had. Thank you once again for sharing with us. You make it easier for some of us with putting flavors together. 😋
OMG!! I am a beast with greens, but I love this recipe. I am going to try this, I never used broth or fresh celery in my base. Thank you for always making it happen 🥰🥰
I use a sharp paring knife running it down the vein of the leaf, job goes fast & I choose to tear my leaves brusing the leaves makes them tender also wash & soak them in water & white vinegar the acid starts breaking down enzymes making greens very tender. I do the same with KALE . LOVE YOUR Video
Made this for my in-laws!! BABYYYY!! It’s a keeper!! They went on about it the whole time🙌🏾🙌🏾Thank you!You was right about the broth I used porked so didn’t add extra seasoning just hot sauce and A C vinegar n it was perfect with the touch of butter!!
Making this right now and the broth has been going for about 2 hrs. I took a taste and I could eat it as soup - it’s SO good and flavorful. I have made many of your recipes and they have been consistent hits. Thank you for sharing your gift!
What’s your story? Where did you grow up? Who taught you to cook? Where did you get your soul from? This channel is magic. That broth could be used for soup as well. It looks fire.
Mr. Make It Happen Good job dad. I was absolutely expecting you to say Deep South or something. I’m thoroughly impressed by you and I’m not easy to impress. Good stuff. And thanks for sharing.
@@MotherfuckingDesiree you'll be thoroughly impressed. I've made so much stuff he's presented and it's always a win!!! Never a disappointment!!! And imma tell you, try that meatloaf recipe 🥰🥰🥰. Bomb, I call him the "The Sauce Man" all his sauces are amazing!!!
I’m making this, the Mac and cheese, pot roast (newest one) mashed potatoes, the crab legs and seafood dressing ( for the people that don’t want the full “soul food” situation for Thanksgiving. I’m thinking to do at least 3 desserts. Just gotta choose which ones!! I’ve made SEVERAL of your recipes! Never goes wrong!❤
Oooooo!! My damn!!! Hush yo mouth!!! Got me drooling over here at 8 am on a Sunday morning no doubt!!! Smoked turkey just like Mama's collards!!! 😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️
Greens can be an intimidating dish to make. My family is extremely critical of everyones greens and if you "F" them up and flavor ain't on point, you won't live it down! So with that in mind, I'm gonna try this recipe and redeem myself! Thanks Mr., your greens look delicious!
I was watching somebody else's video on collard greens just to see different options and I was like Mr MIH looks wayyyy better as well as his Sweet Potato Casserole. I was thinking to myself, "Lemme stick to who I know lmmfao!"
YO!!!!!!!! I just made this, followed the steps, only thing is I only had one thing of Chicken Broth, so I mixed some better than bouillon vegetable paste, along with the Chicken paste, BANG OUT!!!! This was my first time making Collards, straight #MouthDrip 🤤. I’m making your cornbread stuffing next, same Juice... I’ll keep you posted 🙌🏾❤️🙌🏾
I was just thinking about making collard greens for the first time today. Normally I google recipes but I came to your channel first, and look you just recently uploaded this!
Celery?!!! Now Granny ain't neva did that!!! You're taking ish to a whole notha level!!!!! I'm finna blow the N laws out the water on Thanksgiving with this one!
Good god!! I tried this recipe for Thanksgivings and came out perfectly. The collards was tender and seasoned so well. The smoke turkey wings was falling off the bone. The bones even had a lot of flavor. My family went crazy over this recipe!!
Yo you hands downs I love learning some new skills and trick of the trade You are definitely one to watch I’m new I’ve seen a few vlogs I’m definitely going to be watching more I need to upgrade and think outside the box keep doing what you do thank you 💯 per cent
You make everything look so easy!! My mom used to take all damn day washing and cooking greens. I knew it didn’t take THAT long!! Since then I’ve learned MY way but I can’t wait to try it your way!! ✌🏾💜 Happy Thanksgiving!!
Alright. Second comment. So all of the comments below are about how good or “legit” this pot of greens look. I made these today for Easter Sunday. There was only one time that I made greens that I was EXTREMELY proud of. But this time. Y’all. I followed what Matt did in the video, I didn’t add the hot sauce though, and I only used smoked Turkey wings. Close to the end, I added some water because I thought it was too salty. HOWEVER, this was sooooo good. I mean BUSSIN! Lol! A friend of mine tasted the greens, then said: “WOW.” Lol! I’m from (and still reside) in Alabama, so I know GOOD collards. If you know Alabama, then you know collards taste completely different when you travel further south. This was THAT w/o the fatback. I’m throughly pleased. Thank you, Chef Matt for increasing my hope in cooking collard greens! Lol! Being from the south, cooking collards can be intimidating. But this time. Whew! I’m so grateful and can’t wait for my family to taste them too! 🙌🏾
👁🫦👁I’m back after trying this and when I tell you I’m 💯% trying more of your recipes I mean it ❤️ I didn’t add apple cider vinegar or sugar to mine but for my first Time I LOVE IT !!! tysm ✨💅🏼
