Hello subscribers..I wish to provide an honest update. I made his recipe yesterday for my family and it was a 10 out of 10. I increased the amount to accommodate my crowd and everyone..I mean everyone loved it. I consider myself a pretty good cook but it never hurts to step outside the box and try different recipes. Wow! so good
Thank u! I kept watching this wondering if I should make it this thanksgiving,, so now I am! I was waiting for a sign lol! I appreciate ur feedback, it helped me
My family calls it dressing since it doesn't go in the bird. Love that there are so many versions of dressing/stuffing. My family doesn't use cornbread. We use dried out white bread. We make the dressing the way my grandmother made it. Nothing fancy on the seasonings. But it's so good! So I make it the way she did. My ex mother-in-law made an out of this world oyster dressing. It had pecans, mushrooms and all kinds of good things! I'm sure everyone's dressing/stuffing is good!
This is the stuffing recipe I grew up on and that I now make in my own kitchen. The only difference is I cook up a good size package of mushrooms to go in as well. Everybody always loves my stuffing.
It's been hard to enjoy the holidays bc of losing both parents a few years back but I love the dressing and sweetpine bluff social security office potato pie..may you all have blessed holidays..always remain grateful and humble to HIS THRONE..#happyholidays
My sweet momma, rest her soul, used to make this! My favorite! Heartbreakingly this will be our 1st holiday without her! Loved helping her make this dish! You can call it stuffing or dressing! I call it love ❤️
Cornbread sausage dressing is a must have..my mom passed in 2009, and I had to take over the reins..we only have this for Thanksgiving. My kids expect it every year. This is our family tradition ❤️
Many ppl only make it around a holiday. I think it’s the easiest side dish to go with baked chicken, meatloaf or any meal that it pairs with nicely. Happy holidays y’all!
It’s called dressing in our house. I use my moms recipe that calls for drippings from the turkey, and the gizzards and giblets chopped up. We make our own broth using the gizzards and giblets, and yep gotta have that cornbread in it. The dressing, smothered in turkey gravy is my favorite dish. ☺️
I’m choosing me this year and ordered every dish except the salad from the local grocery store. One of the dishes is the cornbread and sausage dressing :-). Time to finally enjoy Thanksgiving.
Stuffing is stuffed inside the bird. Dressing is baked in a dish. It's all good to me. 😋 I always put chicken in mine, but I have to try this way. Mr. Make it Happen, you have never let me down. 💯💥
Thank you for this! My husband's Mom made the best cornbread stuffing ever. Since she away passed, without passing on her recipe, we've all missed it. I've tried, but it's never quite right. This looks like it might just do the trick! Happy Thanksgiving🦃
Thank you so much for this recipe. I love dressing/stuffing and never made it myself. I’ll be going to the market after work today to buy most of my ingredients today; and go buy “the herbs you bake with and not the ones that bake you” 😂; on Monday.
I make this same stuffing, except I add: 1 finely diced sweet red pepper, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts and 1 finely diced Granny Smith apple. It tastes so amazing!!
Made this today. Holy moly. Used Slap Ya Mama seasoning for a little extra zingy and it was unbelievable. This will be used for years to come. Thanks bro.
My mom taught me how to make this and it is not Thanksgiving without sausage cornbread DRESSING. Only use jarred sage. No Rosemary or parsely or thyme.. Best ever. Been making this for 40 years.
Here in the deep South, we call it Dressing. I had a recipe years ago for Sausage Dressing that also had 1 cup of chopped pecans. It would make you slap your own face. My favorite dish is the Dressing. Love it. My Mom always used yellow cornmeal for Dressing.
Yep. Gotta make your own cornbread with the yellow cornmeal. I also make my cornbread with buttermilk. Makes all the difference. My absolute favorite cornmeal is Sunflower Yellow Cornmeal mix. It has some flower in it. I think it’s made in Mississippi. I can usually find it at Walmart. It makes THE BEST cornbread!!
I literally just made this recipe. Thank you so much. I just tried it. I didn't change it much only the AP seasoning that I didn't have. I just added those seasonings one by one it is so flavorful it's unreal!!! Thank you thank you! My family is really gonna eat good today!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Thanks for sharing i want to try the fresh herbs this year. Dressing is made with cornbread stuffing is made with day old white bread and old left over biscuits. But i was raised up on dressing. And this look delicious. I love your presentation. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
Mr. Make it Happen has done it again! I made this dressing and gave samples out to some of my neighbors to see if they agreed with me that this was like nothing they ever tasted and it was unanimous . Hands up, fork drops all around! My neighbor’s ten year old grandson asked for a second portion! And I have to be honest- as I post this comment I’m eating some with some cranberry sauce😜. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes and helping me take my cooking talents up to the next level.
LOL...When I hear dressing or stuffing at Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of the same dish. Sage sausage, my go to as well. Thanks for sharing your delicious recipe.🔥🙏🏽
I just made this dressing for our Christmas dinner for tomorrow.. It is fabulous 👌 I added dried cranberries to the mix.. But wow.. first time I have made dressing
Dressing is cooked in separate pan. This is how I make dressing except I use focaccia because my husband is not fond of cornbread (I know! that’s nuts ;-) Love sage, thyme, rosemary so much I grow them year round in my garden 🪴 thank you for such consistently terrific recipes!
Speaking of Christmas, I like to make a little more dressing and freeze half of it. Then I can warm it up on Christmas day. Keeps me from having to make more for Christmas
Looks delicious 😋!! Two things are a must have for Thanksgiving, even if I'm not having a traditional Thanksgiving meal, and that is macaroni and cheese and stuffing! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃!
It was different, not my cup of tea. It wasn’t nasty or anything just not what i wanted. But i will say it was a crowd pleaser!!! So even though it wasn’t my cup of tea, my coworkers loved it!!! They want it every Thanksgiving!!! My store mgr went crazy over it. I asked him if he wanted it this year and his eyes lit up😍😍😍. I would say give it a try guys and see how you like it
Just made this today for Thanksgiving. And booyyyyyyy! I did the taste test before I put the eggs in, and OMG, it's so good! This was my first time making homemade stuffing and this recipe did not disappoint!
A Money Shot 📷/ Make Me, Hungry Shot 🥴. I appreciate you taking your time to make this video for us. Especially the non-cookers of us. I'd really appreciate you displaying the ingredients and the amount and explaining every step. You have help to put me, at ease to try your recipes.
I love your videos and recipes, your commentary is so refreshing...Your catch phrase is my all time favorite..."We are here for a good time..not a long time"....keep them coming!!!❤️
You and unk AB are changing lives out here my daughter who has always wanted to be a pastry chef is reconsidering just watching yall oh and I had to get the cookbook for her
Thanksgiving is the one and only day of the year I pay absolutely no attention to what and how much I eat. And stuffing is the star for me. This looks SO GOOD! Thank you for this recipe. I'll make it. I know it's gonna be delicious!
Everyone raves over my dressing. I got the recipe years ago from my grandmother. I do a double batch and use tons of dried sage. Gonna also try thyme this year along with the BTB.
I've never made it from scratch but this year I will be thanks to you. You had me 😂😂" with cooking the herbs not the one that cooks you😂... My favorite is actually stuffing
Love to see “stuffing” the way I make it! My grandmothers recipe, it’s the star of the meal, for me even over the turkey. And yes it’s STUFFING not dressing! Bc it stuffs me okkk 😅
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is a very odd dish: lime jello salad. It’s lime jello powder melted in boiling hot water, cream cheese, mayonnaise (I know, trust me it’s good), mini marshmallows, crushed pineapple, and chopped pecans. It’s freaking amazing.
My wife's recipe is almost the same except we use Jimmy Dean spicy sausage and doesn't use cornbread but we're going to try it, thanks for the idea and the bloopers were awesome keep those coming
In this recipe do you use 3-4 sprigs of rosemary and tyme? Do you take it off the stem or cut up stem also? Can you use the jar of mince garlic or do I need to use fresh garlic?
We say dressing in my family. We make two roasting pans of dressing for both holidays. I boil turkey necks and gizzards in chicken broth with onion, celery, green onion and bell pepper. Once it's all done and tender I take the meat off of the bone and chop the gizzards up but not too much. Then I add the neck meat and gizzards to my cornbread and chicken broth and a couple of slices of toast. I mix it all together and then pat it down a little in the roasting pan. I cook it on 350 degrees for about 2 hours and it comes out so yum. I also have an extra pot of necks and gizzards for the gravy. I make that with butter, flour, hot water and seasoning. I'll probably have to have a meeting with the family if I decided to make this because every soul in my family are picky eaters and not really fans of changing the menu for the holidays.😂😂😂😂
Your dressing reminds me of my Mama's. She used lots of celery, onion and bellpepper. Made huge pans of dressing because it was everybody's favorite side dish.
I would call this dressing. I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and we never used meat in our dressing-it was cornbread with some white bread (day old) in it. My sister and I always liked it when it was a little dry.
It's called both. There the same. Just 2 different names. I usually stuff the bird with it and it comes out wayyyy better then baking it, but baking it is very good as well!
Oh yea you know what your doing I make mine the same way you just gave me a few extras to try like the adding chicken base and mixing cornbread and the seasoned bread crumbs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ( oh and it’s called stuffing to me lol)

How much did you increase the recipe by? I am also trying to make more to accommodate a crowd of 12, Thanks!
Thank u! I kept watching this wondering if I should make it this thanksgiving,, so now I am! I was waiting for a sign lol! I appreciate ur feedback, it helped me
@@alyssaacevez5315I made it last year for Thanksgiving and I’m making it this year as well!! It’s sooooooo good!!!!
Thank you for this Sis
I have used sausage and chicken livers in my stuffing/dressing for decades. I only use cornbread. I'm glad someone else used sausage.
Dressing. I've been doing it like this for forever
Hey nephew ~ I call it both ~ dressing and stuffing. Just get in my belly. 😋 Love the bloopers ~ Keep em coming. 😂
My family calls it dressing since it doesn't go in the bird.

Sorry for your loss ❤. Dressing is the dish that makes me think of my mom that most. Every single time I make it it’s like she’s right there.
Yes, my mom made it this way too. Brings back good memories! She always made enough for me and my sisters.
Bless you during this anniversary season.
I have been making sausage and cornbread stuffing since 1968 and everyone loves it and they always ask for recipe
I don't think I've ever had a Thanksgiving without dressing. It's one of my top 3 dishes along with Mac n cheese and candied yams
Same 🙌🏽 I agree with this whole statement
Yes girl ❤thats my top fav choices together then the next day Is turkey sandwiches Beyond point.
Cornbread sausage dressing is a must have..my mom passed in 2009, and I had to take over the reins..we only have this for Thanksgiving. My kids expect it every year. This is our family tradition ❤️

I'm a stuffing girl. Making "stuffin muffins" with sausage and oyster this weekend! It's a Chesapeake Bay tradition! :) YUM! Happy Thanksgiving all! 🦃

Stuffing is stuffed inside the bird. Dressing is baked in a dish. It's all good to me. 😋 I always put chicken in mine, but I have to try this way. Mr. Make it Happen, you have never let me down. 💯💥

Matt...I ❤️ IT!! Dressing/Stuffing and above all the BLOOPERS!!! 😅🤣😂 HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE 💕
I always enjoy the bloopers.
I've never used the sausage in mine before but I do make the dressing homemade! It looks delicious! Might have to change it up this year!!!
I make this same stuffing, except I add: 1 finely diced sweet red pepper, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts and 1 finely diced Granny Smith apple. It tastes so amazing!!
Best dressing I’ve ever had! Thanks Mr Make it Happen!
Made this today. Holy moly. Used Slap Ya Mama seasoning for a little extra zingy and it was unbelievable. This will be used for years to come. Thanks bro.
The next time I make stuffing, I’ll try it with the prep ridge farm cubes along with my cornbread for an extra crunch. Tastebuds tingling.
My mom taught me how to make this and it is not Thanksgiving without sausage cornbread DRESSING. Only use jarred sage. No Rosemary or parsely or thyme.. Best ever. Been making this for 40 years.
That looks delicious. My mom always mixes in a little buttermilk with baking soda. I'm not sure why but it's really good.
