One thing I do is take those stems and chop them into small inch size pieces and put them in the pot at the beginning with all the other veggies. They will cook longer, release more flavor, and less waste! Lots of nutrients! And yes, that liquid gold AKA Pot Liquor is the BUSINESS! Any really good collard greens will have the BOMB Pot Liquor! All in All, this was a Fantastic recipe!

Looking good!!! 👍 My husband and I love greens: collard, mustard, turnip, even kale and spinach!!! He has to have cornbread to sop up the pot liquor! 😆 Thanks for the recipe! 😋 I use smoked ham hocks most of the time, but smoked turkey works just as well. Also, when I wash my greens, I lift them from the water, so all the dirt and residue is left floating in the bottom. Then I pour out the dirty water and rinse again. I do that about 3 or 4 times, until the water is clear.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! The collard greens were a success!!! Everyone loved them, I was scared bc I ran out of Better Than Bouillon Roasted Chicken and I had to run to the grocery store last minute to see what they had. The Better Than Bouillon Garlic Base was a smash!!! U might wanna incorporate that one, I was thoroughly impressed🥰🥰🥰. Thanks for recipe. I didn't make ham today but I will tmrw.

@@MrMakeItHappenI'm sure I will. I made your Tuscan salmon and my husband loved it. Said if he ordered it in a restaurant he would order it again.

I tried your other video southern style collard greens and they were the bomb. It was my first time cooking collards and it was good. Can you do a video fixing beans or lima beans since it's getting cold outside? I've never fixed either.

Lima beans are a good one. I wonder if I can get fresh up here in New Jersey. It's supposed to be the garden state.
They do have a lot of really good produce here but that and black eyed peas???? hum...

When I saw the Old Bay hot sauce going in, I knew you been invited to a couple "Cuzzin Pete's" BBQs. 👍🏽 Making this for Thanksgiving
