I still have my original GameCube that I bought back in 2002. I went to the store intending to get a PS2 with Final Fantasy X, but saw that the GC was fifty bucks less so I could get an extra game with it. I changed my mind on the spot and never looked back. No regrets. It was, so far, the only home console I bought shortly after launch and played while it was current (as opposed to getting one cheap when they were on the way out like I normally do) so it will always have a special place with me.
The very first game system I grew up with. I have so many fond memories of games such as Super Mario Sunshine, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the Harry Potter games licensed by EA Games.
the irony of the gamecube is that it was the least popular console in stores but its one of the most popular and remaining "retro" consoles that are still being used/traded/bought, i dont see people buying ps2 or the original xbox but i see a lot of people buying and playing with gamecubes and n64's

This is why emulation is a thing. I have grown tired of waiting for Nintendo to offer a proper virtual console with more modern machines that has Gamecube games. I'm also tired of not being able to transfer digital copies of games that I have purchased on other Nintendo systems to something like the Switch. Instead they expect us to purchase a mini classic system with just a handful of games (unless you mod it). So I decided to make my own virtual console on my PC. Not paying $200 for a copy of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. It's not like Nintendo themselves see any money from buying a used copy and they sure as hell don't seem to want to allow people to purchase them easily on their newer hardware. They complain about piracy and emulation but their own pigheadedness is the greatest contributor to people looking elsewhere for their classic games.
the gamecube was underrated af, it was one of the greates nintendo consoles there was/will ever be. well it does beat sony and microsoft when it comes to gaming consoles

(Also sorry for the long comment)
The remake of Resident Evil was the first GameCube game I played. Goddamn I don't think I've had an experience like that since. That game still looks fantastic on the 'Cube.
Definitely one of the most underrated GameCube games in existence is 1080 Degree Avalanche; probably the best snowboarding game I’ve ever played. Yeah it may lack a lot of content, but it was still an awesome game regardless
The amount of effort companies like Nintendo etc put into their game packaging back in the day was brilliant. Definitely not the case now. I still own/play my Gamecube from time to time because for me this is still by far the best machine Nintendo ever made. Another great vid though fella. 😉👍
Just a heads up, the Silver GCN wasn't all to rare, it was limited run and was discontinued before the official discontinue date of the Indigo one, but they made so many of the Silvers it shouldn't have been called LTM, but I will say good job on finding a newish one, and a bonus disk game collectors will do a little overpay for things like that.

Just started watching your videos. Have to say Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Metroid Prime and Super Smash Bros were great too, not nothing really stuk with me like the story and cell shaded graphics. Great little console^^
wind waker was a masterpiece. one of the main reasons everyone shoulda got a gamecube. but with PS2 players also being bought, gamecube was doomed to be the least sold.
My original GameCube just stopped working but a couple years ago I was able to snag another one (looks just like the one in the video) for $50. I still find myself playing it every now and then. But to answer your question, I love GameCube still.
I remember I got the mario kart edition bundle. Honestly one of the best packaged game. I got it 2 years before the wii was released but I caught up quickly, I worked a part time and went to local game stores where I could buy gamecube games for like 30 since it wasn't retro and no one was hoarding it. People would trade in games because they wanted newer stuff or wanted other games to play, it was awesome.

Nintendo Games rarely drop in price
Wiii *iiiii*
It's just the fact they know people will still pay $45+ Even after years of the release.
Went to a retro game store and found a *USED* copy of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for $35.00!
Clicked straight away

I still have my GameCube from when I was five years old and all of the games. But my favorite game is Mario kart double dash.
the gamecube was underrated af, it was one of the greates nintendo consoles there was/will ever be. well it does beat sony and microsoft when it comes to gaming consoles
Nah😂
How come it was underrated?
Ricardo Manriquez so many people were chosing ps or xbox because of simple gamecube design, they were thinking gamecube was a chinese product at all...
Fox Mcclout Oh yeah i'm sure that's the only reason lmao
I'm not joking either
i bought a gamecube 2 days ago; its nice seeing people still enjoy this console

I recently got the same GameCube for $75 on Craigslist’s and it works great I missed Luigi’s mansion so much
Best Nintendo console imo. I started collecting games march 2020 heres what I have: Luigis mansion, super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Ocarina of time, metroid prime, twilight princess, paper mario thousand year door, Pikmin and prime echoes
Omg this brings back so many fun memories I played with my brother and sister. Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Kirby Air Ride, and Sonic adventure 2.
My personal favorite GC game was F-ZERO GX. The speed was kinda like Mario kart 8 200cc

I miss my platinum GameCube. I couldn't get it to show any picture and I was forced to take it to the dumps. Luckly I still have Smash Bros Melee. GameCube and GameBoy Advance were my childhood.

ElectroBlastLuigi lol I seen you 20 times in different videos lmao
... change the optic drive...
ElectroBlastLuigi DUDE THE SAME THING HOLY SHIT. My favorite games I use to play were soul caliber IV, Smash Melee and Wind maker. I still have wind maker and smash
I remember having and playing one of these, but not when there were being sold (considering I am only 11 years old). When I was 6, my grandpa gave my family one of these he had laying around, and it was pretty fun, but when I was 8, it broke and has been laying around somewhere in my garage. (Also sorry for the long comment)
I love your videos!!! Soooo relaxing. Please stop allowing ads to interrupt them. Thank you!
The remake of Resident Evil was the first GameCube game I played. Goddamn I don't think I've had an experience like that since. That game still looks fantastic on the 'Cube.
Metroid Prime is a fun game... believe me its awesome.
I miss my old GameCube and I wanna relive the good old days😭
RelaxingEnd You should do a An SNES or NES unboxing
0:58 but arguably the one that a lot of people have a lot of fun memories with
Definitely one of the most underrated GameCube games in existence is 1080 Degree Avalanche; probably the best snowboarding game I’ve ever played. Yeah it may lack a lot of content, but it was still an awesome game regardless
Phantom Squid no ssx was just better lmao
The amount of effort companies like Nintendo etc put into their game packaging back in the day was brilliant. Definitely not the case now. I still own/play my Gamecube from time to time because for me this is still by far the best machine Nintendo ever made. Another great vid though fella. 😉👍
Who is excited for Super Smash Bros Ultimate?
Me.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is coming out for the Nintendo Switch only
I wish other companies such as Sony and Microsoft would share their games to Nintendo consoles, and Nintendo would do the same.
I am and I don’t have a Nintendo switch but I have a new 3ds xl and yes I play smash bros on my 3ds .

I think he means “rare” for being the Metroid prime bundle but I don’t know
Do you remember how the GameCube controller gives you the sense of the future? Nowadays they call this controller a weirdo
Yes!!!! I was waiting for a GameCube unboxing thank you
I remember being a teen saving up all my money to get this 😭
It felt magical unboxing my silver GameCube! First game ever was Dave Mirras BMX and wrestle mania 19!
Loved my cube!
TheRelaxingEnd do please an wireless GameCube controller unboxing
The GameCube wasn’t my first console, but it was the first one I played so much I had to get another because I’m pretty sure I burned it out lol. Metroid prime is still one of, if not my favorite game of all time. Loved this video!
10:26 The Best METROID
Damn i was born few months before this got relesed, this is retro AF

i dont understand what you are saying but the OwO concerns me
My original GameCube just stopped working but a couple years ago I was able to snag another one (looks just like the one in the video) for $50. I still find myself playing it every now and then. But to answer your question, I love GameCube still.
Business BILL i still play it to this day
Same I still have my old game cube as well it still works fine and I still play it
