    Erwan Heussaff had a silver spoon in his mouth from birth. His father is French, a former marine who subsequently entered the petroleum business, and his mother is Filipina. Erwan went on to study culinary arts. He is now a chef, and because of his problem with being overweight, he named his TH-cam channel The Fat Kid Inside. He is one of the most successful Filipino social media celebrities to turn their passion for cuisine into a career and a source of popularity... His battles with being overweight, however, served as inspiration for his path, and now he uses his culinary expertise to assist families in leading healthier lifestyles. He is married to one of the nation's most popular celebrities. He has multiple company chains. In addition, he tells great stories and has a ton of trip vlogs. His younger sister is a well-known star in the country as well.
    I feel it is easy to collaborate with Erwan's team because even the foreign vloggers here who are now living in the Philippines have collaborated with him. Even Jessica Lee had a collaboration before.

    I'd like you guys to know, Tawi-Tawi(pronounce as Tawee-Tawee) is known as the land of peace and the cradle of Islamic civilization in the southern part of our country. Haven't been there myself but Tawi-Tawi used to be the subject of conversations with my collegues in our study of Philippine history. The word Tawi-Tawi actually was derived from the "Malay" word "Jawi" which means "far" or "isolated" and peopled predominantly by "sama" meaning "unity and peace". Thank you for your interest doing reactions to our country. We appreciate it so much❤

    What sets apart Erwans' videos from other content creators is that he always make sure it's educational and inspirational, more like of a documentary type. He dives deeply into both sides of each topic he presents, not just the fun, fun part but also the struggles and areas of improvement and support that's needed from the government. Tawi-Tawi is still practicing Barter Trading, where they trade goods in exchage of other goods (not monetary) with other locals or places. Barter Trade is very popular pre-hispanic times, where Filipinos trade with Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, even Indian, and basically with every neighboring countries.

I just knew him for being a chef and a great husband to Ms. Anne Curtis.Great reaction and great video content to react to.I also have this mindset that Tawi Tawi is really not safe due to the media. In my opinion as a filipino,Tawi tawi got their unique ancient culture, proud of our ancest0rs (sea gypsies), and it must be preserved at all cost, and time has changed, these wooden houses that's on the water must be relocated on a nearby land before they pollute the water and a huge tsunami would wipe them all out of existence.

    • @mariceltaduran6506
      @mariceltaduran6506 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I've been to Zamboanga del norte and they have open shoreline overseeing Cebu city, yet I don't see a tsunami happening in the next decades since it's not an open sea as the other parts of the country facing Pacific ocean like siargao. While tawi Tawi maybe at the southern tip of Mindanao yet it's so close to Indonesia which is another mountainous archipelago. Sea rising is one of the prime problem they will face and waste pollution is a thing they have managed quiet successfully. If the turquoise water surrounded them still as clear as the greenery you can underneath that means they have conscious obligation to protect their livelihood. Mindanao is rich with seafoods varieties that's why in Mindanao you hear the title tuna capital or where marlins are still abundant. It means that these people living centuries in or over the water knows better than anyone who knows how to protect their only habitat.

    I always pronounce the TH-cam channel's name "FEATR" as "Feature". I am a subscriber of that channel, and I've been watching already a few to some of their videos or contents.
    The guy in the video is Erwan Heusaff. He is a Filipino-French Philippine celebrity, chef, restaurateur, entrepreneur, endorser, TH-cam content creator for his TH-cam channel FEATR, social media influencer or personality, food and travel blogger/vlogger, and the husband of Anne Curtis-Smith, a Filipino-Australian Philippine celebrity, television and film actress, model, television host, entrepreneur, endorser, social media influencer or personality, former VJ or video jockey, television stage performer, writer/author, and former recording and concert artist, and he is the brother-in-law of Jasmine Curtis-Smith (Anne's younger sister), a Filipino-Australian Philippine television and film actress, model, television host, endorser, social media influencer or personality, television stage performer, and writer/author.
    He is also the younger brother of Solenn Heusaff-Bolzico, a Filipino-French Philippine celebrity, television and film actress, model, television host, entrepreneur, endorser, social media influencer or personality, former VJ or video jockey, television stage performer, former recording artist, former singer, former makeup artist, writer/author, and painter.
    Erwan lives in the Philippines with Anne and their young daughter, and more specifically within the Metropolitan Manila or Metro Manila area aka the National Capital Region or the NCR of the Philippines. They also lived and/or traveled in other countries, individually , as a couple, and with their young daughter.

    Southern Philippines especially Tawi-tawi or the Sulu archipelago in general doesnt usually get hit by typhoons or some crazy storms due to it being situated a bit off the typhoon belt so it's all safe for the locals to live on these houses on stilts. The sea in this area is virtually calm year round.

    I love Gina Lopez she's a genuine environmentalist. She's a daughter of one of the oligarch families in the Philippines but she went to India during her youth and did soul searching. And when she came back she became a die hard environmentalist who cleaned up Pasig river and many more. She became the Environment secretary at the start of Duterte's presidency and butt heads with rich mining businessmen which is why she was denied the appointment by the commission as the environment secretary. Sadly, she passed a year later after getting removed from the position.

    On one of my snorkeling trips, a few years ago, (I prefer snorkeling to scuba/personal choice) I was cruising along and came almost face to face with a rather large sea snake. I knew it was one right away, due to coloring. I guess I upset it, bc it turned and started swimming right at me. I backpedaled, flipping my fins hard. When I paused to look, it was still coming right at me, and much closer! I headed for the beach and it was following me close. I paused once again to look, and it was only about 6 to 8 feet away. That got me a bit nervous, as you might guess. I got to where I could touch bottom, and waddled out of the water, looking very uncoordinated, not even having time to take off my flippers. It followed me all the way to the beach, and came only a foot or so from the shore, then finally turned away. Basically, it chased me out of the water. I'm sure it felt proud. I didn't. Sea snakes have small mouths and teeth, so can't really "bite you" like other snakes can. But, they tend to go for the soft parts of your hand (in between fingers), and, once bitten, WHO is going to be able to save you way out where we were? So...snake wins!

    The main problem with Erwan video is Celebrities does hire bodyguards and they do request a police detail with them. But if you travel to that part of Philippines you will stick out as foreigners and definitely you do not have bodyguards nor police detail. To say that you are safe is completely ignorant because their are elements exist that can still be dangerous, two missionaries got kidnap in Palawan and ultimately those hostages got sent to that region Sulu, tawi tawi those groups are called ARMM and eventually one of the hostages died during the rescue and that rescue took an extensive length of time. Definetely their is a travel advisory from the state department for that area, if you go and something happens the US has no obligation to rescue you. You can go to the opposite side of that island like Siargao where you have a better chance and have a good time in Philippines. I am Filam i am not biased before you consider any travel to that region be aware that you are an American their is always a bounty on your head, if you get kidnap you wont get a WNBA treatment where they would send someone to exchange for your return. Their are many places that you can have a good time and not worry about your personal safety but avoid that region it is not worth dying for.

    that video is titled "153 days of war"
    short description about it is it's a battle between Philippine Military vs ISIS (Maute-ISIS) back in 2017 who tried to establish caliphate in Marawi back in 2017

    Tawi Tawi earned that stigma for not being safe there because of the armed conflicts before and some crimes. Just watched this video of yours. You asked if people are rescued, Yes in our country each LGU (local government unit) if a storm has been formed our PAGASA (weather bureau) would inform via news and our LGU will monitor this. If it becomes a storm or worst a typhoon they'll monitor it. Would be informing their constituents especially near bodies of water to prepare to be evacuated. If alert levels been raised the locals would evacuate themselves and men would stay to watch over their belongings. LGU would then check house to house if anyone needs a rescue. Our country storm and typhoons is usual because of our geographical location. June to August are our wet/typhoon season.

    Mindanao specially the southern part are known to be a Muslim sanctuary yet Christians and other religious sect cohabiting the are peacefully. I could say that I wish the whole country downs not just connotes them with association of previous terms such as terrorists because now that I've been living in middle east half of my life, these countries are peaceful and though not a perfect government but openly coexist with any nationality. I grown to have surrounded with Muslim brothers and sisters and never did I feel my existence threatened with such alleged accusations about having a war freak area. Truth that these people needs to be left alone and let them nourish into such beautiful population where there culture survive for generations to learn to. I'm also happy that it's not being broadcasted and popularity of it as tourist destination might halt for a while as I'm still being jealous of the nature's creation not to be disturb.
