Yes to this. I worked with the DICT, a government agency. One of our goals is to have Siargao as one of the Digital nomads' destinations In PH Baler is one also. Our team organized with an organization a Digital Nomad Summit held in Siargao
For my experience in Siargao in 2010 vs 2020 is a big deferent, bcuz now is big improvement compare in 2010,base of transportation and accomodations, Siargao is known of surfing activities, there are 9 municipality,Burgos,Dapa,Del Carmen,Gen Luna, Pilar, san Benito, San Isidro,Sta Monica,Soccoro.
Siargao is 6-8 hours travel from my hometown by car ❤️ we have not made it on our last vacation there because of tight schedule , Samal Island hopping is great too
The island was hit by a super typhoon 2 years ago but so amazing that the recovery was so fast and that's because of the help by government, other private organizations and lots of foreigners
You pronounce it as C - Yar - Gaw (Siargao). It's one of the beautiful islanda we have... 7107 island or more depending if it's high tide.or low.tide...Have not been there but will visit it too. enjoy your visit there
The Philippines is the Center of Marine Biodiversity in the world and Verde Island Passage is the "Center of the Center of Marine Shorefish Biodiversity". I wonder if the world was created from here since we are the Center of Marine Biodiversity.
Sohoton is located in Socorro Bucas Grande, Surigao del Norte. Been there before pandemic and typhoon Odette hit the Ph. In my own experience, I like Socorro more than Siargao because it's less tiring to explore than Siargao, in Socorro you can jump to another Island in less 5-10mins. There's also beautiful caves to explore there. Siargao is beautiful too but I feel so tired exploring it. 😅😂 or maybe I'm just a lazy person.😄
Hi D&J I am an A'tin residing at siargao. Pacifico Beach is where we always held our every birthday celebrations and after fiesta's swimming since my husband is from San Isidro, the municipality where Pacifo belongs. Whenever you walk on the beach sides you can find families having thier foods on a cottage and for sure they will invite you to eat with them and treat you like a special visitors. That's we always do hehe. And also Sohoton is located in my hometown municipality of Socorro. I've never been there for I was scared to Jump on a cliff where you can get through to a beautiful cave 😅😅. But I asure you that it is definitely mesmerizing. You cam swim there together with the famous stinglish jellyfish.
His videos are good to react to coz he really shows his own footage in PH. Coz there was this other video you reacted to which had some clips that were clearly not in PH, hehe. Even the rice terraces it showed were clearly not the ones here.
Btw, was looking for the Pagpag video you recently reacted to. Wasn't able to watch your reaction but i've seen that video before. First off, the people doing that is just a tiny percent of the whole population of PH and is not representative of our conditions. Yes, poverty here is still high. But only a tiny fraction would resort to eating food from the garbage. And sometimes, it's also ignorance on their part. If they knew how dangerous and detrimental to their health that is, i'm sure they would not resort to it. And sometimes, it's also a choice. There are ways to earn or get food without resorting to that, but I think they just prefer to get food free, again not knowing it's actually harmful to them. That's my thoughts on that.
As they say Island of Siargao has a curse that foreigners wants to just stay and chill there. You will keep on extending your until you realize you’ve been there for a month
@@TripTipsPodcastim so happy for u. ive stayed in Australia for 3 months for a vacation in 2018 and i got homesick after 30 days haha. You have mentioned about underground river. I would highly suggest you visit Columbio in Sultan Kudarat. They have an underground river, another river with spectacular rock formation, a mini falls inside a cave, 7 falls and even beautiful Mountain views. I did my on the job training (college) in Columbio for 3 months, and I haven’t had enough of this place. I can forsee myself wanted to have a land and a simple house there when I get old. Being raised in an urban city, Columbio nature heals my soul 🥹 So, I had no regrets choosing that place for internship, though many refused to stay there because it’s pretty rural and many who are in the same age as me isn’t really interested in this hahaha. But no doubt, it’s a hidden treasure. It still ideal for adventure as it’s not yet crowded. Me and my few classmates in college who had our internship there will be back this last week of March 🥹❤️ So if you will put it on your list, I can help you guys with the details and itinerary for that (my internship was under their local government unit), so I know who can help you there and also secure your safety. If you are planning to stay in Quezon City the best location is near SM North Edsa. or Cubao Area because it is near MRT station. You can also check Mandaluyong near shaw Blvd. Or Boni its half way to Makati, Manila and BGC and Ninoy Aquino International Airport basically its near to everything plus its not expensive to live there.
I went to Siargao solo last week. It is really hard to leave the Island. Siargao Curse is real. I almost cried during my van transfer back to the airport for my flight back to Manila. I’ll make sure to comeback soon. 🥹

It might take some time for your system to adjust to the food. I noticed from Western friends that they get stomach issues the first time they travel to Asia because food is prepped differently here. @@TripTipsPodcast To call siargao the next Bali (put ancient temples and shrines of Bali aside which siargao clearly doesn't has) at least it should have comparable surf waves with Bali' uluwatu's the Bombie, Racetrack, Padang-padang or Impossibles which siargao clearly doesn't has also. 😂😂😂. Mentawai has way better beaches compared to siargao, and waves like Hollow trees, No Kandui, Bankvaults, greenbush, Rifles etc of Mentawai is "see it for yourself". Trust me this siargao vs Bali is a scam marketing, if you ever know what bali's sister islands has in store compare to siargao. Even Lombok next to Bali has desert point surfspot that could make cloud9 like beginner wave.
@@TripTipsPodcastYou could check footages of every single surf spot of Mentawais and compare yourself with that of siargao. The next Bali is the Mentawai Islands. Siargao has nothing compared to the Ments.
Interesting
@@simplyyank1119 damn really?
@@TripTipsPodcastYou could check footages of every single surf spot of Mentawais and compare yourself with that of siargao. And not once mentawaians so obsessed to be compared or claim their place better than Bali, then there's banyaks, telos, Sumba, west Sumbawa, Lombok. Don't get caught by BS. Search this: Tarimbang bay, miller's right or Nihi beach, occy's left . Trust me not a single surf beach in whole of Philippines is that good.
@@TripTipsPodcastOh,, see this footages about The Ments, No BS this Siargao next Bali? Nah, not a chance.

I doubt it, the problem is it’s the Philippines
Most beautiful 7,000 islands ❤️
Only 7000 islands, Indonesia has 17000 haha
@@gordonshaw6231 omg 😳
@@gordonshaw6231....17,000 islands but the only famous is Bali....😅😅😅, and now Philippines is beating Indonesia when it comes to tourists arrival....
Honestly I don’t want siargao to be the next Bali, I don’t want it to be ruined by tourists
