I understand that she’s a modern woman, attempting to address the issues faced by Pakistani men and the traditional mindset of Pakistani society. However, this is where I feel a disconnect. I grew up as a first-generation British Asian woman with Pakistani parents, but I was raised in the UK, balancing my belief system with a Westernized upbringing. For the first 35 years of my life, I followed a mix of cultural values that stemmed from both Pakistani and Indian influences, which I initially thought was synonymous with being Muslim.
However, to truly understand my faith, I had to start from scratch as an adult, reading the Quran with knowledge and tafseer, learning my rights and responsibilities, as well as my husband’s, as outlined in Islam. These roles are distinct yet straightforward, much simpler than what culture imposes on us. What she’s advocating aligns with the perspective of a modern British woman, which isn’t inherently wrong, but it doesn’t necessarily apply in Pakistan, a country sharply divided between the wealthy, Westernized elite and those deeply religious or unaware of true Islamic teachings.
This divide is enormous, and it’s unrealistic to impose these modern ideas on those who either don’t understand or follow Islam from a cultural standpoint rather than with knowledge. Islam is clear and unchanging, and as Muslims, we’re accountable to Allah alone. Good intentions aside, we can’t alter the rules set out in our faith. We need to revisit the Quran and Hadith with an open mind to realign ourselves. Otherwise, we’re at risk of losing our way.
I do however agree heavily on therapy and this is allowed in deen. Unfortunately the cost of it here in uk would be £70 an hour it’s not viable with the average man or woman’s pay check unfortunately. And one does have to find the perfect fit. Kudos to those who make enough and lucky enough to find one! Allah bless u all and wish all happiness and healthy families always . And woman we do need to look after our own health and well being. No one else will !

Pakistan main masla hai ke jahan aurat ke hakook ki baat aegi wahan shut up call kardaingay... Pakistan main kis ne Quran parha hai tafseer se? Kis ne Ap S.A.W.W ki seerat parhi hai? Kis ne apne upar kaam kiya hai? Wahan to keh detay hain shadi hogi to thik hojaega ya hojaegi.. u think marriage is a counselling place? No she is right u have to do it before and there is nothing wrong...and most of the ppl in Pakistan only know boy's rights no one stands for girl's right

We have a broken society and homes today because we didn’t understand our religion properly. We have understood many things in a complicated ways . Kindness ,compassion and fairness has been misunderstood completely. There wouldn’t have been cheating if 2nd or 3rd marriage was made easy and a man knew his role that he was obligated to keep balance and fairness. Unfortunately emotions, love ,lust and greed took over and changed the Muslim society. I don’t believe in self as long as it is not aligned with the will of Allah, once the self is Aligned to higher power and his commands otherwise today everything seems good only later in life with self reflection you will find the truth.

Most of the men have impotency issues medically and bad sperm counts and quality after 30.
most of the time its men who have reproduction problems including genetic issues.
But its all brushed under the rug.
In clinics mothers of 40 year olds dont feel ashamed of coming to fertility clinic with out wife and men are mamas boys there..

@@GLau9494 that is a stupid comment and justification for marrying late. I am not giving interview and using my celebrity status to pass advice. Most people in older generations got married young and never divorced. The issue about divorce is a different topic, certainly if you are the self centered kind and cannot compromise in life or the kind that cannot make good judgement call of what qualities to look for in a marriage partner, abstain from marrying. But to say you shouldn't marry in 20s as it will end in divorce is a very shallow ignorant thought. I myself got married in 20s had my kids in 20s and have seen all of my friends and families do the same, still married and living meaningful lives in our 50s. Not a single divorce in my age group. Neither in my mothers age group most of who got married in their teens. If you marrying out of 'infatuation' surely that will end up bad.

People who are just past 5 years in their marriage are in the initial stage nothing more. Ask people after they complete a decade with their spouse. Marriage requires work. I am just saying it is a responsibility and not fairytale which makes love not the main ingredient for successful marriage. “Peace” is what is required in a marriage for it to last. Even quran mentions the primary purpose of marriage is “peace”. Which is definitely not even in the slightest among todays couples. They are in marriages for their kids for money for status for sex but not for peace. Peace they find in their drinks or parties or maybe not even there.. there is no peace in todays marriages. Horrific advices. allot of what she suggested can be refuted too easily including her ridiculous ideas about understanding ones self by proxy of a damn therapist. Self discovery is supposed to be an inner challenge for you to face alone. Seeking out a therapist to offset the challenge of thinking for ones own self is like cheating on life itself.
