Your train is old, dirty and shabby much like Amtrak's original Viewliner sleepers held together with duct tape. I'd love to take this trip in the cozy deluxe cabin on previous leg of your journey. Thank you for outstanding trip.

Yup me too, having nostalgic thoughts about the Grand Tour of Europe I did by train about 10 years ago, taking a month to do so. It is the planning ahead of time and then the anticipations of the journey that make such travel for me so worthwhile. Of course knowing at least two other languages, besides English is a huge help. With the help of You Tube Polyglots and other foreign language learning channels, one can now learn just about any other of the languages one may want to learn and put the effort and time into being at least conversationally skilled.

I have viewed all the 6 videos in this series. Along with the scenery the comments and informtion you provide about the train, engines, stations, route, etc. make it interesting and informative. I like it and awaiting for the last part.

I wish I could do this trip, but unfortunately, I know only English. It could be a nightmare trying to interact with people in this part of the world who don't know English. English-speaking staff would be a great idea to promote tourism here, especially when you think that such a big train is running near empty even during normal times! I would not be surprised if they did not revive the service after the coronavirus. A big thanks for your lovely video!

Well, it depends on your communication level. My mother was in Goa, India. She does not speak English and her masseur does not speak Russian. But in one hour two ladies discussed: weather, health, jobs, their families, my family without Google translate... I have no idea how! :)

Dear Doc7Austin, This is Onno from Amsterdam. Thanks for a great job. You had announced "April 2020", and when nothing appeared last weak, I worried about your health. Thank God you appear tl be alive and kicking. I plan (dream of) a trip Saigon - Amsterdam via the Silk Road, and wondered how 3 days in Kupe will be from Tashkent to Moscow. In seems that in part 7 you will offer a much more convincing train, and I am looking forward to see that also. Anyhow, this is real train travel, and I love it. Thanks again, best, from Amsterdam
