The nostalgia, the memes, the fondness of this level despite the collective frustration and rage from the confusion and loss of lives, everything. Thank you guys - so happy to know there’s a community that’s been with the series since the very beginning and came back for more to show love and respect for one of PlayStation’s OG mascots. Yes, the reignited pun at the beginning of my comment was very much intended. Love you all
Many years ago, I had seen a few clips of Spyro in a TV ad and had seen screenshots in gaming magazines at the time. It looked like a cool game, but I didn't have a PlayStation growing up, just a PC. The very first Spyro I ever played was many years later, on the PS2, it was the co-op one with Cinder. It had a certain charm, but it didn't blow me away. A few days ago, I picked up Reignited on PSN and started playing the original game, for the first time. I am absolutely in love with it and it has been the only game I've played for the last couple of days. Planning to play through the whole trilogy.
It's not hard at all. If you follow that thief he will literally show you the way to the places and then you can map it out and do it. Gotta think outside the box of course. You're welcome noobs ;)
Moonblaster you can’t follow him all the way of course, but if you manage to get just to the top all you gotta do is press the action button and just map out where he goes.
For those of you struggling to reach the third dragon like I did, I have a tip that might help you out. When you jump off the supercharge, don't hold down the jump button (x) for more than a second. Otherwise, Spyro will start angling down in his jump a lot sooner, and you won't make the ramps, instead hitting the side of them like I did twenty times or so. Once I discovered that his lack of air time was due to me holding the "x" button too long, the supercharge parts got way easier. So just a quick recap, when you leave the supercharge, don't hold the "x" button for more than a second. Hope this helps!
Ohh I sorry to listen that. You can practice more in other levels I think and come in this level later. I lost a lot of lives but I did it. And if your jump is not enought long it's very important to wait to the last moment to jump. :/ when I undertood that in three or 5 times I did it. ^^

I think, in addition to what "Aidenblue2 Gamer" says at the beginning of their comment, it might have to do with the original version's level looked more simplistic so the paths would be a little more obvious with less details in the way.

THANK YOU. I had to spend a couple of hours farming extra lives in the Terrace Village area until I got to 99, then I just kept going at this until I finally got the timing and steering right. It was frustrating as hell and the controller almost got thrown a few times, but I finally did it. And ya know what? No one in the world cares except for me. lol
The reason the original Spyro is my favourite is because of levels like this and haunted castle. Finally figuring out how to complete it after hours of frustration and anguish is the most exhilarating feeling and is so rewarding. You don’t get this feeling from a game that holds your hand all the way through. I’ll take this over the stupid Bentley whack-a-mole side quest any day.
I was born a 2006 but am aware of Spyro and have the reignited trilogy on Xbox and I wondered why so many people hated this level. I played it tonight and now I can see why
Thanks so much for this, took me forever to do this level. I had to get help last time but thanks to your videos, I managed to do it by myself this time. :3 I don’t know where people were back in the day of old Spyro without TH-cam. I just couldn’t imagine how stressful those days must’ve been.
This level is a brilliant idea in concept. The idea of chaining together supercharge jumps is a super cool idea on paper. But... did they have to make this level so convoluted? I would have never figured out the path you need to take to reach these locations on my own, and I'm 24 years old. They expected _kids_ to figure this out? Whoever designed this level is an evil genius.
i reckon they did this on purpose to lengthen the game. since the previous worlds can be done rather quick and easy and there are only 6 worlds total with 36 levels. classic retro game trick of "lets make this near fucking impossible so that way they spend hours and all their lives on this one part"
@@kungfukennyaintnobodyprayi347 Those fairies from one of the Magic Crafters levels that rescue you before you fall into a bottomless pit? That would have been a good idea. Encourage people to explore and take risky routes with no fear of death.
Yeah because the whole game has things where it shouldn’t be this complex. This was a completely out of the blue mega hard technique that nobody could possibly figure out on their own unless they luckily stumble upon it.

So, upon playing this level tonight, I could not for the life of me figure it out and I really want to know how so many people DID figure it out. I can't believe I had to look up how to complete a spyro level.
I missed this level in the original playthrough, as I was a dummy dumb who didn't find the portal around the tree. But in hindsight, I was glad I left it until the end so I had a large amount of lives stacked up to run at this
Maybe one if not my favorite level from the Spyro trilogy , as much as you play it, you start loving it more and more!! The Sky Box on this level is shockingly amazing, it seems like an alien place and it has so much going on, the monkey enemies are great and how can I end this comment without mentioning the amazing color palette, one of the best and the most fun level. Much better than Misty Bog.

Saint Aqua didn’t work for me (switch)
@@maddieabshire6977 I only tried PS4.
Saint Aqua i ended up getting it to work! i just had to put it in slowly. do you know how to glide after the last jump with the super boost to get the last dragon?
@@maddieabshire6977 It just took me a lot of trial and error following guides. It's really hard.
I’m crying my eyes out... bawling 😭...(I’m serious)
I’ve tried to get the last dragon for like a 100 times (100lives) and I’m still trying, I’m stuck... I hate this level!!!!
Noob xD
I may help you cutie ,going to your home
You did get it?
I just got all gems bless your soul 👏
You shouldnt even own this game if you are that young.
Ummm excuse me I fucking love the game asshole
And why u bully me?
@@dakarusrebirth397 um it says everyone 10 and up
@@TheRealCCall by the way which version of the game do you have
Thanks so much for this, took me forever to do this level. I had to get help last time but thanks to your videos, I managed to do it by myself this time. :3 I don’t know where people were back in the day of old Spyro without TH-cam. I just couldn’t imagine how stressful those days must’ve been.
Thank you for not speaking lol
Wahhbajack this guys videos usually are pretty good with just playing the game and not talking. I don’t need your life story, just beat the level lol
Thank you for making this. Never in a million years would I have combined this ramps!
Quarantine 2020... Having just finished this level (which I was always avoiding) , I'm sure we're all gonna die...
I liked this level. It's a good level of challenge. They could have added the fall fairies
@@kungfukennyaintnobodyprayi347 Those fairies from one of the Magic Crafters levels that rescue you before you fall into a bottomless pit? That would have been a good idea. Encourage people to explore and take risky routes with no fear of death.
This is probably the worst designed level in the series.
Yeah because the whole game has things where it shouldn’t be this complex. This was a completely out of the blue mega hard technique that nobody could possibly figure out on their own unless they luckily stumble upon it.
@@PimpMasterT Wrong. The thieves hint out the way to the platforms bro. No luck needed at all. Follow them and map your way out. Done.
I've always thought it was by far the best and most cleverly designed level since I first played the game all them years ago
@@abdullaal-najjar3794
As if anyone would have thought of that.
Thanks to this level, I learned what happens when you run out of lives.
OMG! I’m about to explode trying to do those jumps.
Even cheat code for 99 lives didn’t save me from effing this speed run up!!! 🤬 I literally spend over 100 life just to understand how this thing works. But comments made my day, it is a relief to know that I was struggling not alone😅 and many thanks to the author of this video!! I still don’t get how you should solve every path if you’re playing without any help
Anyone else played 3:20 at a dozen times and still don’t know how they got there?
If you look at the mini-map to the left, there appears to be a middle finger. That basically sums this level.
Sorry Jed you're gonna have to stay frozen...
As a 23 yr old man, it took me 10 lives. But didn't have to look up how to do it!!! Im only here now cause I know others would hop on the struggle bus and the comments would be funny
"Well, you could've found an easier spot to get stuck!"
Lmao on God!
20+ years later still hate this damn level from 30 lives to 2 so fast cause dumb ledges
I made up a game that every time I die I take a shot...I may be drunk but I’m not giving up😂
1 month l8tr and I bet ur still drinking. Lols this bloody level.
Chris Hutchinson on a new level but still drinking haha
Yooo you deadddd
You would think the part at 3:20 was some weird speed run exploit but that's apparently intended
I was very incredibly young when I first played spyro so I dont remember more than half of spyro levels. I am 22 now, so do the math! Me playing spyro was just running around. So, upon playing this level tonight, I could not for the life of me figure it out and I really want to know how so many people DID figure it out. I can't believe I had to look up how to complete a spyro level.
Had to set my fps from 160 to 60fps due to the jumping animation being heavier at high fps
holy shit, thanks. Idk how I managed to 100% this as a kid and not now that I'm 27 years old
I missed this level in the original playthrough, as I was a dummy dumb who didn't find the portal around the tree.

God bless you. I couldn’t figure out how to reach the dragon statue Jed & the top area above “Return Home”
Why i could do this level when i was about 11 years old but not now that im 30!!??
Jay Morgan same except I couldn’t do it then either 😭
Thank you for the walkthrough! Had to watch it like 5 times before understanding it! Also 20 lives later and a lot of curse words, i finally got up there!!
this level made me feel stupid
"You could've found an easier spot to get stuck"
My man is suffering too 😭👍🏻
maaaan I loved spryo as a kid and this lvl right here I remember getting passed it but now I'm on TH-cam 16 yrs later tryna refresh my memory 😅😅
That is devilish level design. I approve
I lost so many lives in this level RIP.😭
I'm 28 and I needed help with one flight level so far, but I wasn't lost. Please tell me I'm not the only one my age who needed a video walkthrough because a written one just wasn't going to the get the job done. I would have never been able to figure out those charge-jump routes.
I actually figured out how to do this without looking it up but couldn't get the right angle, only to look it up to see I was doing it right but I'm just bad at it lol.
Thank you! I lost about 20 lives trying to make those last few jumps. I knew using the 99 lives cheat the other day would come in handy 😂😂
I still can't get this supercharged jump sequence 😂 I just run into the 3rd platform and never land on it. So many lives lost.
its reaally hard. i just did it. make sure to be jumping of at the veeery last second. also try to make it so you only touch the analog stick once just long enough to be pointing in the direction he showed
Same
Lmao, literally me right now. Head butt the 3rd platform three times.
@@Ne0nskiies funny thing for me i hit the standing torches
After all the deaths you get to take out all your frustrations on the egg snatchers!
It took me 13 friggin times to do what you did once at 3:24
Thanks! My brain was cramping
Thanks for the support
I hate the person who designed this level with my intire BEING
Thank you so much! This one was driving me crazy. You paused at all the right times too. Great work!
Nothing like being reminded that you're STILL ass at that supercharge needed to get to Jed. I wanted to strangle myself with how many times I goofed.
Toddawaddles I think I’m worse than ass at this level 😞
I really wanted to do this without looking it up but had to anyways, did both of hardest spots on my first try, thanks!
Literally just watched my friend do this with his index finger.
Cause he lopped off his thumb with a table saw like 3 weeks ago. Thanks for the vid we tried for a fuckin time to figure this out by ourselves.
Always thought I was a man. I never knew I was a man until completing this level. Thank you my fellow man.
never knew you had to take this path and just got it on my 3rd try so thank you my dude
I started this level with 30 lives! I ended it with my 1st game over!
