I just started playing this game, and I was missing some gems, which was annoying because I 100% gem some of the later levels, I think the ones at 4:25 and the key for the chest are the ones I'm missing.

Yeah hard to find. Beaches are typically located next to bodies of water, but not always.

Edit: of course barely 5 minutes after I post this comment I find them
Edit 2: Where I found my last 2, it was out in that area where you chase that blue egg thief. You might wanna check around the edge of one of the buildings you can get to from that area (kind of hidden area, shown at 2:14 the building goes all the way around)
