Extremely well done with this part, and now with all set. We make our way to Star Heaven, Meeting the Star Spirits, a brand new power, and breaching the First Gate, and now begins Chapter 8, and storming through the Castle. We are almost at the Goal. Keep doing amazing buddy.

I honestly think that you are correct that the third and final Deep Focus Badge was meant to be the strongest variant of Deep Focus. Like there are unused Badges called Bagon Jump, which was the in-between Badge of Power Jump and Mega Jump, and the Badge called Bagon Smash, which was the in-between Badge of Power Smash and Mega Smash for Mario’s Hammer, so the second Deep Focus Badge could’ve been a stronger version of the first Deep Focus Badge while the third Deep Focus Badge could’ve been the strongest version.

7:34 I noticed you didn’t ask these questions for the Boos back in Chapter 3. If you can accept Boos having homes (despite being ghosts), it’s easy to believe Stars can get tired of floating, much like a person can get tired of standing.
9:27 It’s likely the castle is in the upper atmosphere, which would explain why the gravity isn’t reduced.

I'm curious, why did you say nothing hinted that Lakilester could go over lava? It tells you when he joins the party! Makes mention of it. I'm surprised there was no backtracking that needed him in Lavalava Island.
