  • I had a lot of questions in the comments about how this DIY kettlebell would hold up so I made a quick video to hopefully answer all the questions thanks for watching.

Goal is how to use a basketball and make it heavier than 35lbs

Add rice or metal pellets before sealing it and after the cement has dried to increase the weight, maybe?

I've just crushed up some old storage heater bricks - density 8 vs concrete density 2.4.
Volume of 8" sphere ~4.2 litres concrete =10.1kg = 22lbs or maybe 3 times that with storage htr grit mix
Steel density 8 vs concrete 2.4 = similar if add lots of steel , lead even heavier.
      8 1/2 sphere volume 5.88 nearly 1 and 1/2 times weight 9" ball = nearly 8.2 litres , very nearly double 8" ball

@@scottratliff9776 Did you just dump them in with the concrete mix then ?

@@spakkker3 pour in concrete then put the lead in. Then poured in the rest of the concrete so kinda layered it. 8"ball weighs 42 lbs but I didn't have a ton of lead.
