The Smart #3 is Smart's Coupe SUV based on the same Geely SEA-2 Platform as the Volvo EX30, ZEEKR X and of course the Smart #1.
I took the BRABUS model for a test drive, the 428HP AWD performance model with a 0-60 time of just 3.7 seconds, although I couldn't test this in the packed streets of London! Overall I was impressed with the quality of the 3, it feels fun and premium at the same time and has been strategically priced to fit into the growing small EV SUV market.
The #3 is unique in the fact that it is a coupe SUV, something which is already well established in ICE cars but not so much in EVs, the Audi q4 e-tron Sportback, Volvo EC-40 and the Mustang Mach-e are the smallest EV-Coupe-SUVs I can think of and they are in the next class up from this car.

Good video of the first RHD models for the UK. I wish you had shown the actual boot of the #3 as opposed to only showing the #1 and the ex30. Thanks for the upload, looking forward to finally seeing it in the flesh. Appreciate your take on it and informative review 👍

Thanks Andrew, yes the quality is definitely up there! The test drive was fun and yes the BRABUS model isn’t the cheapest, but actually the starting price of both the #1 and #3 is very competitive. Happy Easter 🪺🐇

Worth mentioning the plastic rim caps on the #3 Premium trim are removable. With them removed they just look like any other modern rims.
Otherwise, nice and informative video, good job!

The #3 is definitely one of the best C segment EVs around. The design and quality are amazing. Lucky to drive on the Formula e track too. Way better than the Volvo.

I don’t know how you can say that being made in China has brought the price right down, it is not a cheap car!

I appreciate it is not a cheap car, but the starting price does undercut quite a few cars built in Europe in the same segment such as the Vauxhall Mokka Electric, Mercedes EQA and even the tiny Abarth 500e!
All of the cars I mentioned are available for much less on the used market though, but I’m sure good deals will be available on the Smart cars. Thanks for watching and commenting Andrew 😄
