    Interesting spreadsheet of functionality here! About the only things it's missing from the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro is the extra buttons.

    Damn, that was a GREAT review. Most reviews i watched about this controller looked like from people that used the controller for only 15 minutes.
    Really appreciate that you showed how the DPAD is bad, and how the sticks have friction with the plastic.
    I think i will pay a little more and get the 8bitdo ultimate blutooth. I wish you had reviewed that one too haha but seens like a good controller

      Thank you so much! I always intricately test my controllers before a review! Definitely planning to review the 8BitDo Ultimate soon!

    I WAS going to buy this controller until seeing this. I have changed my order now to the T4 Kaleid. Thank you.

      Exactly same here. What a shame they just didn't make Kaleid wireless.

    How bizarre that they've messed this up so much after doing the T4 Kaleid, but thanks for doing a detailed review of it

    I like the T4 Kaleid design. The clear case and RGB is so nice.

    After using the Gamesir G7 SE, I wanted a similar controller, but one that has mechanical face buttons, hall effect sticks and trigger vibration. I'm a fan of strong haptic feedback, I've found the haptics in the G7 SE to be too weak unless you sync the trigger vibration with the grip vibration. So I was worried the Kaleid wouldn't have strong haptic feedback so I decided to go with the Cyclone Pro, and I'm enjoying it so far. I dont notice the grinding sticks and I dont really use the D-pad for anything other than navigating menus, so for my own personal use case, it's a fine controller.

      @@james_nolan Nice, I was thinking which one to get the Kaleid or the G7 HE.

    • @james_nolan
      @james_nolan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edwardtrowers6403 For me, the Kaleid is more comfortable, it's more ergonomic as it's the same shape as an OEM Xbox controller. For some reason the G7 SE causes certain cramping in my fingers, I can only assume it's the form factor. They have a version of the Kaleid with and without mechanical face buttons if that's not your thing.

    Just my own experience here but I don't think the hall effect stick modules on the Cyclone are that good, to be honest. They don't feel as smooth as others on other controllers I own. And yes, the d-pad on the Cyclone is very bad. GameSir should've spent those extra 10 cents on a better d-pad.

    • @RetroBreezeYT

      You may well be right. And either way the modules are wasted.

      Have you ever experienced 8bitdo d-pads or the one from T4 kaleid? I'm looking up for a precise- dpad with correct input for mostly 90s old school games. Yet, I only have experience with 3rd party cheap controllers.
      Would appreciate the help.

    The trigger vibration is amazing for example on Forza Motorsports. I can use teh vibration to feel the wheels locking up and have perfect braking without using in-game ABS.
    Regarding the stupidly annoying whine you get at half press, sorry to say you got a defective controller. My first one was like that, it's the electric motor getting stuck at "half" voltage for some reason. I returned it and got a second controller and its perfect now.
    Overall, great review :)

    Seems like this controller don't have a turbo function, which is a bummer. Do you people know a controller who mimics the "dualsense" vibrations and a turbo function? I could swear these new Gamesir PC controllers had turbo function through software, but doesn't seem to be the case

    Really well made review! I too prefer to not have RGB lights at all as it breaks immersion, and you are right to shame those bloatware apps, that should exist.
    I love how you can incense a company device and then properly destroy another device from the same company 😂
    Joke aside it’s reassuring about your integrity.

      Ah yeah I should definitely check out the new 8BitDos. I have owned three in the past but I hold reservations because none of them have lasted more than a year before developing a game-breaking problem such a the wireless not working, or single buttons not working. I'll see if I can pick one up soon though!

    eh, so tired of controllers going "HEY LOOK! I HAVE EXTRA BUTTONS!"*
    *not actually extra inputs, only remap to other existing buttons on the controller,
    Knock it off. Give us extra inputs for real, i get the driver limitation for emulating an xbox gamepad on pc, but there are other input modes available, use them. give direct access to the gyros as their own axis, not remaps to an analog stick, etc.

    • @thesidneychan
      @thesidneychan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a razer sabretooth with extra triggers at the back that are just mirrored to the other existing buttons. A relatively expensive premium controller that couldn't be remapped. It's mind blowing how silly that is.

    • @RetroBreezeYT
      @RetroBreezeYT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely agree! I want a controller with a CPU of its own that can handle stiff like this-
      - gyro to mouse
      - independent gyro axes
      - remappable buttons (including keyboard keys)
      Just like full QMK-like firmware.

    • @ferdgerbeler8494
      @ferdgerbeler8494 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RetroBreezeYT And it's not like its a crazy request, with good controllers costing up towards $100 or more, there is plenty of room to work some more tech in there without eating the profit. Bout time for PC first controllers with console compatibility second instead of the other way around, it's not a small market, and PC gamers are fine with spending money on hardware.

    Advice, do not take it, as you will encounter problems. It is true that the company cared about the quality of the product, but they did not care about instructions. This means that you will not get clear instructions. If you encounter a problem, just how to connect it to the devices. I faced problems with the hand, and I did not find the company talking about it or in the user guide. Every time I have a problem, charge the hand even though it It is charged and the problem disappears. I do not recommend it. Take a reliable hand.
