This is the best review I've seen so far, for some it may be a long video, but for me it's the right time, and with only important info, keep it up. And you also have the T4 Kaleid and Audiotechnica M50x combo haha.
The KK2 is great and my daily driver, although I do have the analog stick bump issue (which I believe is fixed in production now). Also one of mine (just one) has terrible latency after I dropped it 😅
Is it possible to just make the gamepad work as a keyboard and control the mouse with it's gyroscope? or the gyroscope only emulates analog stick movement?

@@RetroBreezeYT sorry if i am going to sound harsh, but alot of gamers seem to be either not that smart, or dont seem to care. This is also the reason alot of pc gaming standards has gone down. Most Games on pc used to have raw mouse input instead of acceleration for example. But because of downgraded console ports (not talking about graphics) whe get mouse acceleration. coding in raw mouse input is also easier then having to code an acceleration curve. Mouse acceleration resembles how rightstick camera functions on console. Different amounts of Aim acceleration are aplied to the camera depending on how far you tilt the stick. With a mouse theire will be different amounts of acceleration applied to the camera based on the speed of your mouse movements. I am a avid gyro player on pc. So i want raw mouse input. for the gyro aim acceleration is kind of workable, but for flickstick this will not work. Both gyro and flickstick needs raw mouse value's. In steam you just need to figure out the amout of pixels per rotation needed for a full 360 degrees turn. Then that gets mapped to the rightstick. Now you can press the stick in any angle and the camera will snapp to that. Alot of new gyro players seem to find this a difficult concept to grasp. But flickstick locks the stick to the x axis like splatoon also does. That is wehere jibbsmart (the creator of flickstick ) got the idea from. Now you can no longeruse the stick to look up and down. you would need the gyro for that. You can also rotate the camera 360 by turning the stick 360 degrees. I only flick when i am aiming. When i look around i use the sweeping roation of the stick more. The stick is nwo a 1:1 translation of 360 degrees.
For the short cable issue. Would getting a USB extender be an option? Obviously it would be best to have a single cable rather than 2. But if you can't find a cable to fit the controller, maybe extending the one that it came with is a reasonable solution.
I need a longer cable because I connect via HDMI from laptop to a larger screen. I tried a usb c to c extender last night and it did not work. The extender is 20 feet and works with standard xbox controllers on a cross check. Using the c to c extender, the T4K will not be recognized by the PC, but removing the extender reverts back to normal operation. Prior to that I tried a standard usb extension cable and got the same results.
Hello, does this controller actually uses the same usual D-Pad rubber membrance or actual micro-switches ? I dont know if getting this T4 kaleid (I can get for $33), which was suggested to me since a couple of months ago or ... T4 Cyclone Pro (can get for $37) I mostly play 90s old games and heavy use of D-Pad, so I always have wanted to use a stiff & responsive d-pad through a controller that would be just as responsive as keyboard arrow keys. Would really appreciate to know any possible help. Thanks for the awesome review!
This one has dome switches for the d-pad. It's definitely not the best controller to buy for retro gaming. Based on your description, you should check out the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+.
Being able to map any keyboard key, and doing so with back buttons independently to face ones in order to get two more functions, would make it a pure gem.
I wish they had the Kaleid in a normal controller shell. I eneded up getting the g7 from gamesir because I prefer the clicky buttons over the hall effect sticks (g7SE). I just do not like the clear plastic shell. I do not know the feel, but it reminds me of the cheap gamecube controller I had that I would force player 2 to use. Sucks because the Kaleid is the g7 and g7SE combined for the same price.

Headphones through controller is not important for PC because PC have proper headphone amps in them. Headphones are speakers, just like speakers any size, anywhere require power amps. The steam controller lets you bind the mouse to the gyro. A mouse is a displacmetn based aiming method. meaning it can both translate the speed of your movement aswell as the amount of degrees in realtime. Wich is totally differen then rightstick gyro. Is it possible to bind gyro to mouse on this controller? for that it either needs a switch mode (most likely bleuthooth.) or i needs a ps4 mode. (wich has a higher pullin rate).
Not really a comparison, just mentioning that both the T4 and Steam devices can implement gyro in all games to some extent. But yes you're right, the T4 cannot map gyro to mouse input.
