I main archer with no support pawns on a NG+ difficulty mod and seeing no debilitation arrows on your skill setup made me clutch my pearls. Erupting is good for just about any situation (pair with tarring and your foes will melt), blighting arrows used twice is basically scarlet rot on Elden Ring. The true S tier build is setting up your skills to compliment whatever magic effects your pawns are using (fire, ice, lightning, etc). That’s the true strength of the archer: its utility with advanced debilitations. Most people don’t realize the debilitations in this game have two tiers. If your fighter pawn is using a fire weapon, slot tarring arrow and watch your enemies get torched. If your mage is using levin spells, slot drenching arrow to augment damage and knock them unconscious (not to be confused with stagger). IMO focusing on raw knockdown is not recommended. Advanced debilitations like torching, double-blighting (I forget the actual name), and knocking unconscious will stagger opponents easily. Use two rings of proximity to take full advantage of when you knock them down. I appreciate the video, obviously these things are subjective based on preferred play style, but these are my recommendations.
@@khaoss4024 never heard of branches and toxiscale? Crafting exists for a reason. I gather and craft. I have 99 of each arrow in storage. If you’re spamming arrows you will of course run out. Check the damage. 4 to 6 arrows on a drake will get it low enough to kill it normally.
@@khaoss4024 oh if you just want to clear everything without playing much then that’s fine. The game isn’t hard anyway. But I like challenge and a more immersive experience in terms of exploration. I was sticking to Archer in the conversation since that is what the topic of the video is about not Sorcerer.
didnt know about this...I personally didn't want to use blight arrows due to how much they weigh and the explosive arrows just seem way more worth it since they are wayyyyy lighter and slap for a lot of damage
Another good bow to get early on is Darkening Storm. A bow that is especially ruinous to Griffins. I noticed that sometimes my arrow hits would paralyze the specific body part, rendering it useless for a set duration. This is exceptionally good for their wings since it keeps them on the ground more and they can't fly away. I don't know the chances of this effect triggering but it is amazing when it does.
some of the augments you choose are kind of a waste in my opinion...for example gratification why would you need to restore health after every kill if you are supposed to be outside of the fight, the augment that gives more strength would have more benefit
I don't see ANYBODY ever mention it (I don't remember if you did in the video or not) but deathly arrow has a sweet spot in the timing. Start counting 3 sec as SOON as you press the button for the skill and then release when you get to/say 3. A different animation pops up and does more damage and probably more knock down power too Edit: it's when your character flashes white after you use deathly arrow. I like to count 3 sec the moment I press LB+B (that's my button layout) and then release when I get to 3.
Can't even take the archer seriously when I watch the first clip taking that long to kill an ogre when most classes would have finished the job by the time he shot the second shot
Compared to the thief or mystic spearhand the archer could use a new buffs. The reality is certain classes just out preform others. You could use a thief forever and never feel weak.
@ColdBwoyy minus trickster (I don't even count it as a class 🤣) it's definitely the worst vocation imo. Definitely needs a massive buff. Only reason I ever use it us because the Medusa bow when I was lvl grinding but even then I used warfarer and drained everything down with another weapon then finished them off with the bow
Don't buy Veterans Arc, there's a much more powerful bow for early/mid game like 5 min walk from check point rest town. Darkening Storm.. better than VA and free.

Great tips 👍 thanks for the comment
Been loving the debilitation king himself. 🏹👑
Love this! I’m early in the game but it’s good to know there is archer potential
Lol everyone sleeps on double stacking blight arrow. The knockdown power and damage is insane
2k an arrow tho. Am I Mr money bags

Subbed man’s chill w/it I respect it
Thank you brother 🙏🏻💯
I think taller characters move faster but smaller characters recover stamina faster
Yes this is true
After playing both, taller and short characters I can confirm this. Although being small, makes you feel way faster.
I think if you have a tall character with higher weight the speed increase is nullified but that could be my imagination
Taller characters also have more stamina but consume it quicker
Explosive Arrows are freaking awesome when sniping weak points

Good point. I guess it’s more of a just in case augment in case you ever get staggered and take a couple of hits.

cant wait for magic archer 😊

What an amazing video, definitely like your style of videos.. earned a sub from me
This comment made my day! I appreciate you 🙏🏻
Where would you recommend we enhance Hydra Husk at? Battahli or Dwarven?
Do you recommend your builds for pawns or would you adjust a few stuff being AI managed?
I would focus more on support skills for pawns
Cammy: Spiral Arrow!!!!! No sweat!!!!!
nice, can you make the same for Magic Archer?
