GX470 - Side Step / Running Board Removal and Trimming

  • Quick overview of removing and trimming down the side steps. We do this whenever plan on sliders for a GX470 build. If your wheel offset is -, you will have to trim down the inside edge by the rear of the tire. The more -, like -38 SCS wheels we use often, these will not really work. The far out poke will allow the tire to grab the inside edge of the front part. -10, +4, 0 offset, this will work great. May still need to trim down the inside edge depending on what size tire / offset you run.

    Hi, that's really helpful! I removed my side steps 6 months ago and am just getting some RCI sliders to replace them. Any way to post a source for the trim fasteners along the side steps? Thanks again for the great video.

      @@alonzokincaid1362 I would not want to try. You’ve got to cut from the backside. Much easier to disassemble off the truck.
