Thank you for the video, I didn’t have the 80% lower, but I did have the GSX100 from the Glock Store same problem trigger not resetting I followed your video so far 185 rounds with only one failure, taking it again to the range this Saturday, going to shoot more then 200 rounds, if I get one failure to reset, I’ll adjust the trigger bar one more time.
Figured I'd add what fixed my gun here too. Maybe every 1 in 5 wouldn't reset properly. I tried grinding down that small section by the rear rail insert where the trigger bar touches it, but ended up taking way to much off and made my problem worse! I tried bending the crucifix every so slighrly and still had the problem. I then tried grinding down the polymer inside the frame were the teigger bar meet does a 90 but that didnt help either. By this point now, almost every other reset wouldn't happen after racking the slide. Luckily, I just so happen to have a new 3.5 connector and heavier trigger reset spring coming in. Señor regular guy u just saved me big money lol earlier today at the range I was getting so many dead trigger/ fail to reset and this right here help 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Love your mindset. I've watched all three videos now. That recoil spring didn't fix your problem, it overcomes it with force. The problem is that Rock Slide. I know I have several. The firing pin channel is burred. Pull your firing pin and see if it slides all the way out and back in with ease. If it doesn't there are burrs inside from the machining. Look at the block at the head of your firing pin, is there scaring from the firing pin channel?
Thanks, this helped. My trigger would reset occasionally but most of the time it wouldn't. After watching this, I pushed down hard on the slide while racking it and it resets every time I do it that way. Guess I'll get to bending.
Now ya tell me! Had to figure that out by trial and error. But yeah, mine was flat and firing pin would not grab to reset trigger. Used a vise same as you did.
I previously built a 80% arms G19 size frame with zero problems. Just finished polymer 80 G17 size frame with what appears to be the same slide as you and it's a constant failure to fire and the trigger doesn't reset so I have to release the striker from the rear to disassemble it. Thinking about pulling the trigger from my other build and trying it.
I'm glad I ran across this video because it affirmed what I narrowed the problem down to being. I'm gonna give it a go in the morning and see if this does the trick. Side note on the end of the video, so you mean you don't show how to make fully semi-automatic assault weapons here? 😂.
So I just build my 1st P80 and have this issue. It would reset, 1 out of 10 trys.I broke my bar that came in my kit, so I went out and bought a CMC $170 trigger. It worked for 5 times exactly and then quit all together. So I've bought another p80 frame and am going to. Try leaving the rear rails you Mill down a little higher. What you think?
@JARG you are a 100% right. I had an oem bar I bought I've been sitting on. It didn't work until I did what you said this morning. And Bingo, I got a working glock. I haven't fired it yet, but at least now the trigger works. I did heat mine red hot and then quenched it in 40w oil and polished
My trigger is all mush and no break. Can't even get the slide off now. Maybe this is the reason? My p80 is my first glock so it's a bit of a steep learning curve for me.
I took my fresh g19 build out to the range and it would double fire everytime, but the trigger wouldn't reset and the casings were extracting. I'm trying to figure out why this would be happening. Any ideas?
I bought an aftermarket Gen 3 G19 slide, and put it on an OEM Gen 4 23 frame (with a Gen 3 to 4 adapter) and I cannot get the trigger to reset. I managed to get it to once, but that's it. I have used aftermarket, 9mm and Gen 3 slides on it before without any malfunction, and the original OEM G23 slide still functions perfectly. Anybody have an idea or suggestion as to what the problem could be?
So should I bend mine the other way mine won't fire. It acts like the trigger is hanging on something is hold it from dropping. If you look in between the slide and frame. You can kinda see the extractor rase up a little and the trigger won't pull. Plz help. I'll give you my number to text or call if need be. I want to learn how to get it right. I've tried 2 diffrent triggers so it might be my frame. Thanks in advance
I'm having an issue with my p80 build. The trigger resets but it is not releasing the striker sear, so it won't fire and it makes taking the gun apart to look at it very difficult. Any ideas?
Get a dremel, some cotton polishing bits for it, and some polishing compound. Polish sear/anvil and striker lug until super smooth. Polish everything else while you're at it. (See Johnny Glock videos). Drop of oil. If that doesn't do it, your sear may be too engaged. If so, do the opposite of what this guy recommends. You want 80-100% engagement, or so I'm told. More makes it hard or impossible to release. Less makes it dangerous.
This video definitely helped me fix my trigger reset issue without the mag inserted. However once I insert the mag I get the same reset failure. Do I just need to bend the bar a little more to allow it to engage the striker with the mag inserted?
I’ll have to use an actual vice like you did. I just tried heating it up and bending it with pliers, which worked a little bit but I did have some difficulty getting a good grip on it.
Is this the reason possibly why my new p80 build fires 5 rounds at once if five rounds are in the magazine or two rounds almost like a double tap if there's only two rounds in the magazine it seems to Auto fire
I’m having issue with my build slide wont go into full battery sometimes but a little bump or sometimes if I let the trigger go or if I just wait or if I drop the slide normally not slowly It will go into full battery I think it’s something with the trigger assembly but I can’t pinpoint what’s wrong I compared it to my other build that works great and it’s all the same I even swapped the safety plunger and it works in my build that was already working good

Do you happen to ever have any issues with the p80 g43 single stack triggers and the overall functionality of it? I'm having a lot of trouble trying to get one to work. How do I get in touch with you?
My issue is that i brought all glock parts , had a few light trigger pulls but my main issue is that once it chamber another round it fires after i release the trigger , only put 100rnds through it. My regular g22 mag cycled with no hiccups or miss fires. So im confused?
Sound like you got issues. The problem sounds like the mag and trigger bar are pressing your slide up and causing the firing lug to slip over the cross bar.
I remember my neighbor had a G19 that wouldn't reliably reset if the trigger was held down a bit firmly because the slide wouldn't be able to push the disconnector over. The crucifix seemed to catch the FP just fine on cycling, but only if the bar had reset per the slide pushing the disconnector off of it. I didn't think it was possible for the slide to NOT push the disconnector over, but I guess the trig bar will just flex over with it if it's pushed into the disconnector hard enough and not slip out from under it as it's supposed to. I don't know if he ever figured out how to remedy it but polishing the end of the bar like this seems like it'd do the trick.
Great knowledge man! I have that issue with my g19 (all parts OEM) only when i rack the slide very hard and fast..when i manipulate it "the normal" way, everything is OK..but WHY??? Do you have an advice? Best regards from germany! Stay safe over there:)

Hey bro , whenever I pull the trigger with a round chambered it won’t fire it even when I rack the slide and load another round in it won’t fire . Do you know what’s up?
So this didnt fix my issue, i thought it would. I believe my issue is the metal spring bar that sits on the trigger. If i hole the slide on one side it resets and hold it to the other it wont so the slide isnt engaging the flat spring far enough to allow the trigger bar to raise up. So if anybody else is having this issue check that its not this either. Because there isnt a lot of material to grab and bend im going to have to grind one of the flanges down
Update so the issue was the trigger connector i believe it is called, the small bent flange had to be filed a couple thousandths to allow the trigger bar to move up when contacting the slide. If i put pressure on the slide to the right as a racked it the connector wouldnt engage fully and allow the trigger to reset.
