- If you now anything about PCP air rifles, especially the FX Impacts, then you know how amazing they can be if tuned properly. That is what this video is about, it's still not a perfect tune, but with my knowledge and experience with FX airguns, (which is limited at this point) this is what I am experiencing. and this is my current tune for 23 gr Javelins .218 diameter.
Nice. You have the exact same setup as me, except I'm using an 800 mm bronze m3 with an ATN 5-20X and the UTG Recon bipod. Love it, man. Keep up the great content.
Also, I had the same problem with my ATN. If you're having trouble zeroing with it, go to the bullet profiles for that round and hit zero reticle from there, and im sure you already know to put your distance and scope height in it. It seems I had to have the exact distance and scope height. Thanks for the vid brother and take care.
Mint, I have a m3 and I for one love mine. And nothing in this world is absolutely perfect.
Absolutely! I sometimes wish I had the 600mm Barrel for the slugs to tighten up my groups. But I am really really enjoying the compactness of this set up. With 95% of my shots being under 90 yards, my compact is doing just fine with slugs.
To right 😊
fx impact m3 is a high powered air gun with very accurate targets but the air always leaks. this situation is very bad
Roelf from Patriot...Is a proud South African....
Try the pellet equivalent grain you want to push. The barrel makes the difference with the slugs.
thank you. I will try that
Definitely a splash target would be better with the ATN, they aren't the best performers in daylight especially on a black target. The only other thing is it looked like you've got the hammer pretty much maxed out, for more accuracy you should be able to dial that back and still get the power especially with the reg at 135 with light slugs, good luck with it !.
I’ll try that out! Thanks! Also, should I try a few groups the with slug liner? I have one but I heard that the pellet liner is fine for the light slugs so haven’t changed it yet. But if it will shave off 1/4” at 100 yds then I’ll def do it
@@DanRouse Hi Dan, I use the standard pellet liner on my M3 for 28 grain slugs (Zan) and they are so accurate it's ridiculous. The only difference is my barrel is 700mm but I have seen online people using the shorter barrels with slugs successfully. Before you try the slug barrel it might be good to try the slug kit I know that the lighter valve return spring makes a big difference to velocity and allows you more power with less hammer which made a big difference to mine.
@deeparker6109 appreciate it. Now is there anyways to get just the hammer? Or is it only worth it if I do the whole kit?
@@DanRouse Really you want to fit the two hammer spacers that come in the kit, they compress the hammer spring more and 100% fit the lighter valve return spring, this lets the valve stay open longer which makes a big difference for slugs. Also in the kit is a pin probe, I don't use this because it's easy to bend and not sure it makes a great difference.
@deeparker6109 awesome thanks!
If you like to listen to wind watch this. There is nothing else.
What moderator is that?
With the ATN DID YOU USE THE ONE SHOT ZERO ? Your shot would’ve been a lot better.
Yeah I did
But if you drop the gun the magazine will break , why a peace of plastic its al to fragile for these big prices , i bougt the evanix rex ,357 with lazer en red dot shooting slugs up to 218grain
If you’re clumsy enough to drop a 2000$ rifle I would suggest not playing around with rifles or high power airguns imo… if you drop any rifle the scope will break or the barrel will bend or the air tank will take a hit and leak… why would you ever drop a rifle… it has 3600psi of compressed air in it, don’t drop it… the magazine is the least of your worries
Some people buy gas station sunglasses because they know they're going to break or lose them. Other people take care of their stuff and spend extra money to have a nice pair of sunglasses.
I believe the same applies to air rifles.
