    Master Wong,
    I just want to thank you for posting this!
    I just turned 59 last month and I'm just starting to learn Wing Chun and I'm getting ready to purchase my wooden dummy soon so I can practice by myself until I can find a partner to practice with.
    I'm currently just doing the basic footwork and hand/ punching exercises for now until I start to get stronger.I will start adding these leg exercises in also.
    I think this will keep me in shape for the rest of my life! It's just what I've been looking for!

    Wing Chun is a face paced punch defense and it's also good to constantly practice on the wooden stake for a more powerful strike.

      Good for stretching still , I started for awhile like that but it ended up paying off but I understand what you mean. Strong roots so the branches can sway . 🙏🕊

    New subscriber here. These are great slow exercises that are friendly to my arthritic joints. I was doing the 101 1-4 very slow. I am not going for power at all for fight but I feel good muscle and ligament strengthening for my health. Either aggressive or gentle, it feels good for the body for blood flow. Thank you sir.

    My question is are palm strikes safer to utilize than punches? I have been through this with a couple other fighters, and self defense trainers that claim palm strikes are just as affective, and you don't risk getting someone's teeth in your fingers, or busting your knuckles on their head.

      In MY personal experience, I have had more pain punching the face/head with my fist, than I have BEING punched in the face. Fists are great for the rib cage and sternum. Hope this helps, and I hope you never have to use these techniques in a violent situation.
      Palm strikes, gammer fists and chops for the face/head, if you must strike there.

    Dear Master Wong, my name is Daniel Clark and I have epilepsy which I have controlled and type 1 diabetes I used to know Tai Kwon Do but that was has been years ago and I'm 37 now but I don't know Wing Chun I mean I know a little from watching Bruce Lee movies but that's not the point I wanna know real Wing Chun like Bruce Lee did can you help me with that

    I can't turn into kicks. get lots of lower back pain and muscle tightening along the leg thats affixed to the ground .the more I do stretching exercises, the more it causes pain. the instant I stop doing any extreme movements, the pain stops.

      Get into Tai Chi, it'll help loosen your back. Remember to warm up before doing these exercises, more so than what we did in gym class.

      @@masterwong101 ha, I complained of the back pain when I first started kickboxing to the doctor. his response was 'don't do that form of exercise if it hurts'.
      My mate, who trains me, is 64 and is now starting with the neck, lower back and knee pain. we've had to stop sparring because I jarred his neck a few years ago. Not forgetting that he knocked me out one time and legged me up as I lost my footing. Then wondered why I went down with a thud with the back of my head. 3 days later I suffered with PVD. luckily no retina detachment. just got lots of blobs in my vision.
