I concur I was super excited about this truck but $53,000 for a Tacoma is insane
get a loaded colorado zr2 for 5k less around me lol
Welcome to 2024 food prices and rental apartments in NYC are insane, don't complain about prices, F-150 $115,000 doolars.
@@eddieBoxer we all need to complain and use our voices in this democracy. To many people remain quiet and act like sheep. Don’t buy overpriced products and move away from stupid crazy cities
@@B86432but then you’re stuck with a Chevy, lol
I just bought one for 45
$53k for a trd sport is insane
$40k just four years ago, these prices are definitely insane!
Peasant
And next year will be more and so on. Unfortunately
🤣😂 3rd gen Trd sport is $43K.... 2024 Trd Sport $55K. True Consumer Reviews has a video w/ MRSP.... Ill pass. Toyota TACO SALES will COLLAPSE!
I’m scared to see what the Trd Pro and Trailhunter will be
Overpriced and most importantly Overpriced. Companies are trying to train people to think 50k and up is not a lot of money. Sadly some people are falling for the marketing scam.
Overpriced 💰
This would be the tacoma trim I would get but $53k for a tacoma is crazy
It seems to start in the low 40k’s so that could be an option. That added premium package alone is more than 8k
🤣😂 3rd gen Trd sport is $43K.... 2024 Trd Sport $55K. True Consumer Reviews has a video w/ MRSP.... Ill pass. Toyota TACO SALES will COLLAPSE!
@@MisakiLeasimthe problem is if you get the basic package you might as well get a gen older since you’re not getting shit
I paid 54 out the door for mine with all the bells and whistles. TRD sport. Yeah the prices are high but 😱
53k for the sport and 56k for the off-road... they're gonna want 60 plus for the pro and trail hunter?? Crazy man, can't wait to see the mark ups on those
a 2024 f150 5.0l v8 gets better mpg on the highway lol!
@@drywater3559 exactly, real truck and for much cheaper. Not sure what Toyota was thinking
Assuming these are selling for MSRP right now while the Tundra can be had for probably $5k-$8k off MSRP if you negotiate. Why wouldn’t you get a loaded up Tundra SR5 ($58k MSRP minus $5k discount = $53k) over this Taco??
This is what I've been saying. A limited Tacoma is around 55K. You can get a limited Tundra for around 57-58K. Doesn't make much sense to get something cramped like the Tacoma. Unless you have a small garage or something.
When I saw a TRD Off-road with the premium package (56k MSRP) at the dealership last weekend, they had it priced at 64k.
@@adir_1Tundra would be a great option but it won't fit in my garage, and I suspect that goes for a lot of people.
So far, this is the best equipped production Tacoma I've seen in any of they reviews
i just got me one today, and i'm so excited to drive it.
$53,000 for a 2024 TRD Sport, are you kidding me??? I'll gladly keep my 2021 Tacoma Limited nightshade edition, these prices are outta control!
Ben- Thanks! really need a Grand Highlander Max Hybrid video!
$53K LOL you cannot be serious? So glad I bought a 2023 SR5 last year for $34,750. I’ll be driving it for the next 20 years.
Nice Truck, but 53k is steep.
Well, you can always buy the SR5 which is no where near $53k
Really like the seats in the Sport compared to the others
I’ve never owned a truck before but I’m looking to get my first one really soon. This one would be a perfect starting truck.
Paid 56k for a v8 2024 rst Silverado, these prices are insane for mid size tacos!
Midsize for fullsize prices.
Looks nice, but a fully loaded Frontier pro-4x is not only a better pick-up, but it’s also less expensive.
Not better but less expensive that’s for sure they are nice tho
@@Thomas54965Hey, if you prefer an overpriced, lightly optioned, turbo 4-banger with an iPad sticking out of the dash, go for it. 👍🏼
@@mattamuskeet It is still a Nissan vs Toyota. The reliability and resale value alone is worth the difference.
@@joshuadennis4149 tacoma has the highest re-sale value......UNTIL YOU TRY TO TRADE THEM IN!!
@@joshuadennis4149 nah the reliability argument isn't really valid with the new tacoma. The nissan V6 as been proven already. And there's less tech. The 4 banger turbo is still new and was designed for a car. Sure, resale is better. But reliability is still uncertain.
Power and interior vs the 2023 Canyon AT4?
👍 I plan to get one this fall.
its a must to get the 14" screen
Most in my area are going for $43,000-$47,000. Basically they don't come with premium package. So the question is do you need the $8000 package or just a basic TRD Sport with some features?
Talking about sticker shock!
Good review Ben, thanks
Yeah, most definitely like the SR5 and the Trd versions looks wise and features wise much more than that of the limited version not a fan of the looks of the limited version. Wish they just had memory seats, though for the electric seat versions.
53k lol
Peasant lol
It seems to start in the low 40k’s so that could be an option. That added premium package alone is more than 8k
The base price already included all the features that are listed in the massive upcharge. Thats just a dealer markup and the $42k price listed is what it should sell at
The $8k isn't a mark up, that's the cost of the package on the Toyota website. I see zero mark up on that sticker.
Lost me when i seen the sticker price! I'll be keeping my OTT tuned Tacoma 6-speed manual lol
$53k makes me chuckle 🤭. Mid 40’s maybe and that’s if it was built in the USA 🇺🇸
You’re not being able to afford a tiny pick up makes me chuckle
🤣😂 3rd gen Trd sport is $43K.... 2024 Trd Sport $55K. True Consumer Reviews has a video w/ MRSP.... Ill pass. Toyota TACO SALES will COLLAPSE!
What is chuckle?
@@seymorefact433340k with the same package? This one has an 8k package.
@@artieartyamust be another greedy car dealer trying to justify these insane prices
I bought my 2016 TRD Sport 4x4 Dbl Cab LB fully loaded ie sunroof, JBL, Tec Pkg etc. for less than $40k when they first came out with the 3rd gen. Gen 4 is up $13,000 with similar but more equipment.
Thanks for the video. How tall are you? It looks like the backseat is smaller than the last generation Tacoma, or maybe you are extremely tall.
53 no way I’ll keep my 15 was thinking about a new one no thank you good video
me too
That screen in the middle of the dash looks like an after thought.
It's how every automaker is doing that now.
Yeah, it is too big. That's what she said.
I hate that large screen.
Dear Toyota,
Thank you for the 24 Tacoma redesign! The new design is many fun and new pricing is most impressive!
Respectfully,
Honda & Nissan
Waiting for the Tacoma SR review.
How are these selling? Awesome truck but man the $ is nuts. I really want the new 4Runner but the sticker shock may kill me dead on the spot!
Why there isn’t any engine cover and all these wiring mess around the whole area
Felt lining of the undercarriage hasn't stood up for me in my 2024 TRD Sport. 1 month in and its in pieces (I did take off the airdam so maybe that contribuited...)
As insane as these prices are, look at the price of loaded '23 Canyon's/Colorado's then add the major issues many like me are experiencing with a 57K truck. Then take a look at any full size moderately optioned truck at 65-70K then one that is loaded like the '24 Tacoma Limited at over 80K..... I looked at a full sized Denali nicely optioned at 82-85K ..... THAT IS INSANE ... the reason for the popularity of the mid sized trucks is they're some 20K less than full size........ ALL TRUCKS are now insanely priced. The question is which model is the less of the insane?
Small but special
Everybody is talking about price but if you compared last gen models 16-23 these new ones are very well built interior and exterior I saw one today and was impressed all around sitting in it you feel like your driving a big V8 you feel top dog, not gonna lie I might consider that instead of a 2020 f250 King ranch
Price of a 4Runner TRD pro for a Tacoma 😅
Imagine what Tacoma TRD pro will cost😅
Ok why buy this chump for 53k when an extra 3k will buy the landcruiser 1958
Houston we have a problem a Toyota pricing problem.
Ole Ben here probably thinks 53k is budget buy like that untamed guy it’s just hilarious how the wealthy millennial thinks.
Love tacoma content. Thanks
Man ain’t no way we should be paying that much for a midsize!!
This is the trim level I'm interested in, but man, these prices.
I wanna know the markup on these things from invoice. Gotta be like 4-5k
MSRP is like $39k for the TRD sport 😂
@@joshuarich4714 okay? MSRP does not equal Invoice. I am curious what these already come with markup built in. Its the "Wiggle" room dealers have.
@@joshuarich4714that’s with absolutely nothing extra.
For this price I would buy a full size Tundra and not buy a Tacoma would buy the Nissan Frontier Pro X hands down better truck for the price 😊
53K for a TRD Sport is pretty expensive! The Pro will probably be around 60-65K! My 2020 TRD Sport had more options and was only 46K.
More options like what? I doubt it
@@ethenjordan2010he’s yet to respond to your valid question 🤣
The steering wheel looks too large for the truck's cabin size.
My local dealership told me the hybrids may not start production till Q3, that’s a bummer
Your local dealership is lying to you. The media drives will be in April and they’ll become available in May.
That is a good looking vehicle for sure.
🤣😂 3rd gen Trd sport is $43K.... 2024 Trd Sport $55K. True Consumer Reviews has a video w/ MRSP.... Ill pass. Toyota TACO SALES will COLLAPSE!
a bit dramatic but ok
Love the exterior and interior, hate the drivetrain and the msrp. Way too much money for what you get.
Can someone explain why front air vent is fake?
Drag negates any benefit of functioning vent on these trucks.
for the looks...total waste to me.
Toyota built a fantastic truck
that ended in 2023......try to keep up!!
If you’re the type of person to keep a truck for years and years, I understand but if you trade cars like I do, the GMC Canyon is the one to get it is so much nicer and you get so much more for your money
I was out the door for 52k with a 10yr/100,000k mile warranty on my 23 Denali. Of course loaded with more power, more standard and the auto start is so much better.
Funny, software issues, weak roof, and cracked blocks don't sound like a bargain, no to Canyon
@@JIPlatium weak roof on ones without a sunroof only, never a glitch with anything electronic it’s been a year. Even remote start on the key fob unlike Toyota going all software so don’t even try to use that excuse 😂
I’m not buying any GM product. Period.
@@ethenjordan2010 dude, that was all reported by a GM Authority.
Is any TH-camr going to mention you have to pay for remote start?...
A bad remote start too. Doesn’t even turn on heated wheel/seat or Cooled seats in the summer. GM does it from the app which is nice.
I paid 50k out the door for my 2023 Nissan Frontier P4X, loaded.. I love my truck. The new Tacoma is nice TRD Pro..
So why are you looking at 24 tacoma sport? 😂
Home run for Toyota..... Great Job !!
The only way to the price down is not to buy them until they bring them down.
They’re asking 7k mark up I don’t pay over MSRP.
MUCHO DINERO AMIGOS, that's crazy 🤪
53k plus all fees and extras.
Like about 60k hufffffffssssss
I believe the Toyota Tacoma Limited is 53K. Might as well just buy that one, and get all the features..
is it a power moonroof?
You won't find a manual sunroof anywhere now at days
They had me in the first half… but $53k, got damn!
Way too much added fluff, 52K, insane
I truly would like to know what percentage of people can practically afford newer trucks without being financially over-extended. It's certainly not what would be considered average income earners today. Prices are out of control and salaries are not budging.
I'll keep my 2020 TRD Sport. Pricing aside, I don't like the direction they took with the exterior styling
Rule of thumb you dont buy the first year of a new car
I bought the first year, 2016, never had a problem. I loved it enough to buy the last year, 2023. No regrets. I do like the 24s, but I’ll wait a few years on that. Few years, meaning, at least ten.
A non functioning hood scoop with a turbo engine. Why?
I think we need to go back to more simplistic trucks. Who needs a truck that the tailgate goes up by itself. How weak are we. People need affordable trucks. The profit off these midsize trucks have to be enormous.
A Taco TuRD made in Mexico.....no thanks! LOL
If I was in market for a truck. I am gonna have to settle with tundra instead 😅😅😅
Idc what people say about the overpriced thing, my mom worked very hard for this and she deserves it!
TRD, sounds like you're saying TEAR-DEE
Can't wait for the hybrid version. Definitely getting it. Best looking truck.
Good ol' Taco tax. I just got a fully loaded Frontier SV for 41k.
I have a 23 Taco OR that I'm probably trading on a 24 Frontier Sv
Now you’re stuck with the Frontier, lol. Happy trails.
@@johnnyperdue363 stupid comment..
@@johnnyperdue363 And much better off. Thanks.
@@COMMANDandConquer199 glad you’re happy.
YOTA LIFE!!!!!
Funny not too long ago TRD owners would make fun of 4cylinder Tacomas calling them wannabe’s. Boy times have changed. I stick with my Frontier V 6.
EXACTLY!!!
Well this V4 has way more torque and horsepower with less of a hunt for gears. Also, the engine has already proven to be very reliable.
@@enricosanchez3289 nah....it's a wussy "truck"
The Toyota pickup trucks started with a 4cylinder the v6 came after
@@billw8476yes way rather have a Nissan 😂😂😂
Wow the price is a huge turnoff for a midsize. Even the rwd are showing over 50k with markups. Ill stick with the gen 3
Any proper review? Other than test drive from dealerships
I paid 37k for my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport. I am not going to get the new one. 53k seems crazy to me.
You can buy a brand new base sport for 43k and it will still have way more features than yours did even with a full upgrade package.
Goodness. 53k for that. No thank you.
Goodness, get a better job
@@artieartya money isn't the issue. That thing is not a value. It is way overpriced.
Too expensive
Wow, price too damn high bro
Next Tacoma they will stuff a 42" TV on the dash and you''ll be forced to crane your neck around it to drive down the road.
I am not a fan of the ipad jammed into the dash
Can get a half ton for this money
53k, lol, dream on toyota
Awesome looking truck, regarding the price yes it is expensive but it’s on par with every midsize truck. The Canyon tops out at like 75k, Colorado will easily push into the 60k-65k range. When you’re getting an all new truck from the ground up, new engine, frame, interior, technology, safety features those don’t come cheap. The only “cheap” midsize truck is the frontier and that’s cos it’s a re-skinned 10 year old truck. Great review Ben!
You also get the first year teething problems that are sure to come with an all new design.
yep.....nissan kept their quality.
Nah this isn't on par with the colorado price wise, you said 60-65k? That's for like the dessert run edition with the bull bar and bed rack thing and bead lock wheels. Spec for spec this is more than the colorado. Don't cherry pick your comparisons. You lose credibility.
53.000! 😂
Some idiots will pay that price!
These prices will drop once the hype dies off.
Extremely disappointed with the pricing. I don't even want to know what the Hybrid Taco's are gonna cost
Yeah a little to much..and u can only ride 2 people comfortable..no back seat room...I may as well get the full size chevy 4cylinder..
Insane price......
Not for the poor! 😂😂😂
Price of vehicles will not get any better. Everything got more expensive and will be the new normal. That’s what 2 years of inflation till do.
I agree cars are way too expensive and if you finance gets even worse.
Those power numbers are kind of sad
😢so sad how trucks got so expensive and over priced😓every year💰💰💸💸
Ok everyone…now do GM & Ford. All the trucks are too damn expensive! At least Toyota has a good reputation for reliability 🤷🏻♂️
I realize that I’m painting a target on my back by saying this, Since the Tacoma cult in this country is almost as big as the Taylor Swift cult. But I just don’t see anything appealing enough about this truck to make me want to pay 53 grand for it. Is anyone out there thrilled about a 270ish horsepower four banger? Does this thing at least have a locker? I don’t need 37 cameras and a power ashtray., just give me good value for my money.
Whoever buys this truck for the retail price is crazy. 278hp for 53k, Really? I hope no one buys it.
Idk how people afford these. Payments be like 900 a month like a second mortgage. No thank you beautiful truck tho
53k, that's so cheap I'll just use my debit card!!!
I was hoping the car market was coming back to reality, mid sized trucks literally cost over 50k. Not just toyota, all of them still guilty of financial raype
Toyota is out of their fucking minds wanting 8 grand for that package. What the hell.
All that stuff was listed in the 8k markup is already listed in the rest of the sticker for the msrp of $42.6
Clown prices 🤡… Good luck selling midsize trucks at these prices.
