Hi there...thank you for the video. Do you have any insight into the fact that some videos show the TRD Sport with a black hood scoop and others show a body-colored scoop? I would love to find some documentation that mentions if the color variance is package-based or if this is simply a pre-production vs production issue. Thank you for your time!

Went yesterday to my local dealer in South Florida.
Numbers were insane. A Trd Sport with the tech package sticker price at 49k. I have a credit score of 783.
They told me the best interest rate they could do is 7.5% 63 months price lowered to 45k. The monthly payment was a little under 1k.
I walked out and wished them all the best.

If you want an off-roader with all the axle, sway bar tech and crawl control, downhill descent, better ground clearance, etc., then get the TRD Off Road. If you want better highway ride and handling with minimal off road capability and a little better pricing get the TRD Sport.

Fantastic work, y’all! I really enjoy all your videos! The level of polish and thoroughness y’all have would only be expected from a channel that has million dollar operating costs. Although at about 14:30 you just about lost your composure. Lol! I just cracked up! Let me give you a “tip.” Keep little flubs like that in your content or on a blooper reel. That was priceless, but more importantly it shows the human connection that reminds us that y’all are just a couple of good ol’ Kentucky boys who create content because you love it, not because you have to. I’m a good ol’ Kentucky boy myself. I grew up in London and went to school at Eastern. I’ve been in Nashville since ‘95, but still get back home some. My folks still live in London. Good reason to be skeptical! Small engine 2.4L turbo probably 20+lbs of boost pulling a truck that weighs basically 5,000lbs not a good combo. These people can tell me/you whatever they want as many times but bigger motor is better for larger vehicles especially if you're going to be towing you'd be working that 4 banger so hard

I bought a Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 back in 2007 and still have it with over 306,000 miles. I bought Sport trim just because the hood scoop looked great and never ever thought about going off pavement. BUT never again. My next one will be an Offroad trim with factory rear locker. Buy the trim with the rear locker even if it's for your work. You might be in a situation where you might need to drive over sketchy off pavement places. Extra fun and security when you go overlanding or off roading. Yes, you can install aftermarket lockers but more $ and maintenance, plus less reliable. Besides, Offroad trim comes with many more offroading features other than rear locker. Lastly, factory ride quality doesn't mean much if you are going to switch out the suspension and lift it in the future.

Not sure how that will work. it could make tuning super fun or could make it impossible or a nightmare. I guess we’ll find out. but I have a lot of faith in the car community. POS now! Ppl bought the Tacoma cause of reliability I guarantee you with the same maintenance V6 VS the inline 4-banger turbo 150k for the new truck before major repairs 300K or more on the V-6! Look up 300,000 mi Tacoma there's a guy with a 2018 manual transmission has had that truck loaded down, road hard put away wet & still running like a top!

Yeah, too much added here. The old non-turbo 4cyl even have gone 1 million miles in Tacomas and were made for over 20 years. I prefer the 3rd gen at this time, who knows, maybe in 2025 they will make them non-turbo again.

Oh boy!! There are improvements that are nice but the 4 cyl turbo is a huge problem. You are killing the dependability and reliability. You can't add all those extra parts and all that extra heat and not kill the long term expense totals. The 2023's are now 10,000 cheaper for the same truck. I will break it down! 2023's are being discounted 3,500 - 6,000 and the new trucks are about 3800 - 4500 more plus some dealers are marking them up. I would rather have a 2023 without turbo and for 10,000 less. Have you seen the 2024 engine bay it's a HOT MESS. All this for 2MPG increase.

This truck is an absolute disgrace for Toyota. The interior is horrible everything is plastic not soft plastic hard plastic everywhere it feels so cheap pictures blows my mind away how they can make this look and feel so cheap I took one for a test ride and I also took out the 2023 model what a difference the 2023 model felt way more solid didn't feel like a little toy it felt like a truck you going to this new one, the whole thing is hard plastic pieces that are just snapped together and on the new one when I would hit a bump with the vehicle the hood would move on it because it is so light very cheap in the hood was locked on but every time the truck hit a bump the whole Hood would Shake the 2023 model the hood is heavier much more solid didn't shake it didn't even move, the buttons on the lights for the tailgate is a joke more to break and if anybody cracks or breaks the backlight accidents happen think how much money it's going to cost to replace that now since there's an electronic button inside big money to replace that all in the name of laziness give me a break, and the one I had was the TRD sport premium the sound system sounded like crap absolute garbage lose my mind away if I was the CEO of Toyota this thing would never hit the market absolutely never would have been at least some soft touch plastic a better premium feel a real hood that doesn't move and a real motor. Let's be honest with ourselves the safety features let's call them what they are more Electronics to break we never needed them since the cars have been invented and we don't need them now all they do is put the price up on the vehicle total waste of money there should be an option that if you don't want any of these features you don't have to get them if you just want a regular truck that should be an option, and if you want a truck for a princess then you go with the premium model I would call it the Princess model buy the old degeneration this thing is a joke!!!!!
