Thank you for your information! I have heard people use White Vinegar to kill off the algae, have you tried this. Do you recommend using this?

I would not use vinegar as it is an acid, and I use that to bring down the ph. I've not heard of that to kill algae. Although, I have heard about using it to kill weeds, so algae being a plant too, probably will not like it. But I know that it can affect your ph. So it may not be a good idea.
