Oh my goodness you captured this so perfectly! Just went through it in my pond…..I dread it each year and secretly wish my koi would just forget about it. I don’t even utter the word “spawn” so not to remind them of it 😝

we've pulled it out by hand a couple times, but the owner will not use a chemical to kill it around the pond. I don't blame him.
