these cars have been flashed for over 10 years i've had a stage 2 malone for 11 years with no problem. 175k miles driven hard with original cluch, never changed it or the front struts. Very amazed, but this is not news.
Just ordered my Kerma tune for my new to me mk6 tdi Jetta and can’t wait to try it out!! Iv watched all your videos and it helped me a great deal when deciding between kerma and malone’s.
I had the tune and dsg tune on my 2015 Jetta TDI.. It was definitely worth the money. It was fun. LOL. I was dumb and traded it in on a Tesla which I sold back last June. I recently bought a 2014 Golf TDI DSG with 70k on the odometer, torque is addicting and I can’t wait to get the Golf tuned.
Nice! I have no complaints from them tbh more than 2 years and 0 issues car has been consistent throughout no CELs either only CEL the car has ever had was p2015 from the manifold I did the dieselgeek bracket and since then 0 lights
Meh. I deleted and tuned my MK6 Sportwagon and I LOVE it. Especially today. Diesel is above 10 year highs and I get 1000KM to a tank. Talk about saving money.
I don’t blame you for going that route! Lowkey I’m about to go this route myself lol. I just don’t know what company to go with. This is my daily so I may go mec evo
Yes I did.. about 2 weeks before the clutch went out I started to experience a light shudder when taking off and the clutch felt kind of soft. Finally one morning I came out and the clutch was to the floor the slave gave out. The shudder was the slave leaking onto the clutch
I have a MK6 TDI Sportwagen DSG Trans and I get 373 miles on a tank. Averaging around 29mpg but I just see everyone getting 500 miles on a tank with stellar MPG's. Makes me wonder.
Over 2 years and 24,000 miles with my MK6 tdi, 33mpg in city and 38 highway. DPF failure a month after purchase (VW replaced), crash sensor failure warning light (reset with vag scanner), 4 alignments (incompetent shop), and failed rear struts. Internet seems to be full of worried owners when it comes to these diesels. I'm curious if the kerma tune would help extend the life of the emissions system. Coming from a CRV the interior feels cramped, and there is like zero right knee room oddly (5'11"). I also don't find the seats to be that comfortable. Mines worth almost $4k more than what I paid for it, the used car market is nuts! Are you running any additives?

Thanks for the kind words! And nice man doing a nice tune and some brake mods is a great start. It’s unfortunate how some shops do take advantage of people who aren’t as inclined to turn some wrenches. Best thing sometimes it buy the parts and go into it and work slowly maybe even get a few friends who may know more to help out
That is what I'm thinking considering the fact that the brake kit alone is about $940 without installation! Kerma is currently out of stock along with Malone tuning for their equipment also 😢
My slave cylinder failed at 35,000 miles in my 2015 MK7 Golf TDI. I am not happy about it. It cost a fortune to fix. That puts to question the reliability of the car in general.
Really? Seems a bit early. Unfortunately many vws use a plastic slave cylinder across all generations and it’s always been a weak part in the manual transmission cars. Overall though TDIs are known to do many hundreds of thousands of miles but I guess sometimes it’s hit or miss
@@DArias I have the Slave cylinder on my desk. It does not inspire confidence. Mine starting leaking on 2015 Passat, last year, but it has pretty much stopped leaking. I have seen debris when bleeding clutch, so I think it related to that debris.

I have 2 2011 JSWs. MT . I want to delete and tune one see how the economy improves. Been driving TDIs almost 20 yrs. I bought my from auction for 3k for one 5k for the other.
Essentially yes the tune would void the warranty. Also I always say this it depends on the dealer too. Some service managers and advisors are super cool and work with you while others aren’t. Luckily in my experience I did have a friend who worked at Vw so I got 2 repair services done under warranty while tuned which was the intake manifold and a new egr valve. Intake manifold after a few months was being buggy again so I ended up doing the diesel geek bracket over 2 years ago and to this day still no cel has come back
Hey man just got my Kerma tune after getting my turbo replaced after it going into limp mode. it was working great for a couple days and now I have horrible turbo lag and throttle response any idea what it could be?
Not everyone deletes their cars though and I never deleted mine so for me wasn’t a waste of money but If you choose to delete obviously going Malone makes sense
None at all. I was very fortunate that I had no problems with my TDI during my ownership. Well I had to do the clutch because the slave broke and leaked but besides that not 1 other issue ever
Glad you didn’t go and delete man. In your case was the best option and no problems over a few years and over 114k miles. Shows the reliability
