I love making easy and a lot my I have five boys love sweet things

I was always taught at school to use a knife to get scone mixture together. Also to lift and rub flour and butter gently. Never to add vanilla essence and to use cookie cutter never glass. We had to work as quickly as possible with mixture. Now I am confused.
