I have the Pixel 7 pro. I really enjoy this phone. It's been an awesome experience using this phone but let's face it. The S23 Ultra has the best hardware. I just prefer Pixel Ui and experience it brings.

That's genuinely how I feel. I have to be objective in my review and be honest about what's better and what's not, but like I said towards the end, for some people who prefer pixel UI and prefer the images of the pixel, they are going to want to stay with pixel and save some money

      Could you please recommend me
      1. s8 - wifi - 128 = $480
      2. S9 - wifi - 128 = $683
Getting S8 31% cheaper than launch value
Getting s9 14.5% cheaper than 3 launch value.
Should i save this money or make an updated purchase.
Since u go in details I have to ask. Does Samsung makes their tablet slower on their last yr update to make it slow and indirectly influencing people to upgrade to the latest tech???
Amoled , gen 2, Ip 68, 1 more yr extra update looks attractive but money doesn't.
I can kind of manage to get s9 but I was just curious what would u say now or any one else out their with their opinion???

So I love pixels The six pro is probably my favorite phone of all time but after a year I got overheating wouldn't charge when hot so I got the Pixel 7 pro and that thing got very warm and the battery life would just drain while using it and I got annoyed so I got the s23 ultra. I had experience with Samsung phones. I remember I had the pixel 4 XL for the longest time but went to Note 20 ultra eventually going to the six pixel 6 pro missing that Google experience. however I'm back on Samsung because the bloatware isn't as bad as I remember and you can make the galaxies pretty close to Pixel with the customization and the ability to use Google Assistant Gboard ETC messages bubbles and all that. This this is 23 ultra doesn't make me miss the pixel. so I'm kind of over Google right now The very last straw was getting that pixel watch to go with the pixel phone and that battery dying so fast I also got the pixel tablet excited and it's just a glorified nest hub I'm over their lackluster hardware. Maybe a few years ago the software made it worth it but now Samsung is right there not to mention they work together on stuff you know? Like where OS most Google features on Galaxy ETC I don't understand why they don't just fully partner up Make us a Google pixel all Google software but with Samsung hardware that thing would dominate the market by a long shot I don't see why they couldn't do that considering they work together on so many things

Currently Pixel 6 Pro and the overheating on this phone is outrageous. Phone becomes useless until it cools down. Battery life is atrocious. Just went to San Diego for vacation, my gf and I both charged our phones before leaving the hotel to go exploring. Both taking pics and videos. A few hours in, I complain that I'm down to 26% and she gasps, saying she's at 80 something %. She has S22. Other than the camera I'm having a very hard time finding things I like about this phone and I've had it since Dec 2021. I really miss LG and this was my 1st phone since the V60. I was hoping this would be my new home but I think I'm going to try Samsung - dating after the divorce is hard 😂

I have an s23 Ultra. I love it but it does have it's issues. I did have a pixel 7 pro, and although the ecosystem was nice, camera was OK but not perfect (as is the 23 ultra) I couldn't stand the noisy screen, hearing every tap, it felt spongy, it got hot in my pocket when idle, slow charging speed, poor battery life and I'm not a heavy user.

Price difference just went from starting of $300 to now $150 on your best buy links. I might wait a bit more to see if P8P will fix the heating issue of P7P before I decide to try pixel for the first time. The only problem I will have with S23U is probably the S-Pen slot which my hands get dirty a lot.

I just switched to the S23 plus from the Pixel 7 Pro - got a huge Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal, making my all in cost only $350.
I loved my P7P at first, but the battery, the overheating, the weird display flicker thing (color oversaturates for a moment then goes back to normal), the odd lag in programs, the random force shutdown/restart outta nowhere (goes away with certain updates but seems to keep coming back)...
Those are all a bit too much for me to handle, at least how I use a phone. Yes pictures are good, but sometimes they suck, too... Not to mention the weird thing where you take a few pictures, send them in a text, and the phone just gets uncomfortably hot and drains the battery like mad...
I'm honestly excited to try Samsung. Wife has had the S22 and adores it.

Since 9 years I have my Samsung Note 4 and it works perfectly. I've tried the 7 Pro for pictures and it's amazing processor rectifying the bad picture,
BUT after taking 3 photos it came very HOT. On the long run the S23 Ultra 512 -12 g ram is a better value and for reselling and the pen is very practical for texting, rectifying pictures, I use it much more than for only signatures. Plus my text finger becomes sore after texting, the pen is perfect for that and for electromagnetic sensitivity on the long run.

Just a warning to people thinking about getting the pixel, I've had major issues with it. The pixel 7 pro overheats when using it normally, the brightness drops by about 30% at random when the device is in use. I also have major issues with my music apps not loading on the phone. Additionally I have horrible connectivity with the phone. I had a oneplus 9 before this and I would get service everywhere I go on a day to day basis. But with the pixel 7 pro I lose connection at random, even if it says I have connection. The battery life of the phone is also mid at best, I average about 5 or less hours of screen on time in a day from full to dead. I also have issues with google loading (ironic since its a google phone) the only way to fix it is to restart the device. This wouldn't be a problem if the device restarted quickly. But sometimes it can take upwards of 5-7 minutes to restart for no good reason. I will say that the camera is insanely good . The screen on it looks nice but scratches extremely easily. The zippers and buttons on my pocket gave the screen deep scratches that are noticeable during use. The screen also has started to get burn in from tik tok since I use it regularly. I recently dropped my phone from about 3 ft or less, it landed on a carpet, face up, and the corner of the screen stopped working. I have a glass screen protector and a case on it. It didn't crack tho. This phone I have found to be extremely annoying and I am currently in the process of switching over to the s23 ultra. Maybe I just have a faulty device but that is the experience I have had.

Google Pixels are original, unadulterated. Just the way Android was envisioned by Google to be used by the end user. And Pixel 7 Pro has taken the software experience to a next level. Butter smooth UI, fast animations, superb software experience, excellent camera and the intelligence of the device - simply unparalleled by any other OEM in the Android world. And can be matched only by the iPhone pros of the world. Even then, the Pixel is far more intelligent than the iPhone, all attributed to Google's AI algorithms. Changed from an iphone 12 to Pixel 7 pro and am completely blown away with the experience! Waiting for Pixel 8 Pro to be released!

I barely reach more than 7 hours without always on display, outside on direct sun impossible to see anything. So i switch now to s23u. As long as tensor is based on exynos its not changing. Issue with s23 ultra is the $1200 version only has 8 GB of RAM. So to get up to 12 GB of RAM that is $1,300. The battery life is good this year but that's kind of ironic because it was terrible the last two years when Samsung fabricated the Qualcomm chips. And ironically the biggest flaw with the pixels is that Samsung fabricates their chips, which is only going to be the case through the pixel 8 series and then they switched to tsmc.
I do love Dex and I do love the S Pen, but I prefer a good vertical app drawer. Samsung has a lot of bloat, and the pixel has faster times rendering video and much better Astrophotography. Samsung has better benchmarks otherwise and just more features in the stock software. Twice the optical zoom as well.
I think the Best of Both Worlds is to use a Samsung tablet, where one UI is much better, and you have access to Dex. You can use the $400 you saved by buying a pixel instead towards like a tab S7 Plus bundle or something.
All of that said I don't know if I would choose to buy either of these phones at their current prices. when you can just buy a refurbished price from 2021 at 30 cents on the dollar. The pixel 6 pro and be found for 300 on the resale market. The s22 ultra can be found for maybe five/ six hundred. Even a note 20 Ultra or S21 Ultra would be more than viable for a couple years

I agree with you! It's what we have now but the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro should be amazing

I'm here cramming videos to figure out which one to buy today. On Google Fi, they are both $599, although the Pixel 7 Pro is 128GB and the S23 is 256GB.

If you're comparing it to the S23 Ultra, I would definitely get the Ultra. For the same price. If you are talking about the regular Galaxy S23, that's a different story and a little more questionable

@@AndroidDigest That's what I was leaning towards. Lol
Also the fact that the Ultra they have on sale is 256GB and the Pixel 7 Pro is 128GB.
Thanks for the quick reply, this made me 100% sure to go with the Ultra. 😁

Knowing that the pixel 8 pro is a month away, do you think it's worth waiting for?

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Well that's really complicated. It really depends on the price you pay and what you're looking for. Let's say they release the pixel 8 for $899 or even $999. If you really want a pixel 7 pro, you could maybe find one brand new for like $700. Or you might find one on the used market for like $500. I definitely expect some upgrades in the new model. The question is, are you looking for the best phone or the best value. The best value will always be last year's phone, in almost every case. But if you are someone that gets that fever for the brand new phone coming out, I would definitely recommend waiting. And I would definitely recommend waiting if you don't see a significant sale. Because it's going to be nearly the same price

@@AndroidDigest so given what is known about the pixel pro 8, do you think after it's release the ultra will still be the best phone out? Not talking about value, just which phone is better... I do have a trip coming up before the release and I wonder if I should wait for the pixel 8 pro, or get the ultra and have it already for my trip... Thoughts?

Does s23 has lagging or green line issues?

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  ปีที่แล้ว

I never had any of those issues and haven't heard of anyone else personally. But it might be possible. Hopefully some more comments will chime in
