      apple is dead to me aswell. i'm sick of:
      1. soldering ssds onto mac motherboards
      2. overcharging 4x the price per TeraByte
      3. Removal of the headphone jack just to push their 250$ airpods and they influenced the whole industry almost , to remove the Jack
      4. expensive but flimsy cables that break easily
      5. they are just greedy apes 🦧 that don't listen to anyone and do just as they wish. if it weren't for authorities.. i dunno what they'd be doing on this planet.
      ordered a lenovo legion pro 5i and soon enough i'll be tossin my iphone xr where it belongs : in the Garbage .

    Thank you for your extensive review. The s23 ultra is an underestimated phone. It offers so much more than the iPhone. A better screen, better battery, more options in the camera, better speakers, the s pen, more comfortable to hold, cameras don't stick out as far as the iPhone 14 pro max. It works incredibly smoothly. Samsung should do more marketing strategy in the higher segment. This is wat Apple has on Samsung. Stop giving so many discounts to retailers that the price of the device will drop by 10% within two months. It should be more exclusive. Samsung's image must also be more high end and become more exclusive. It's about the image. The chic appearance of Apple gives people status. Unfortunately, Samsung does not have that.

    • @BadArchitecture
      @BadArchitecture ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Apple does have iOS an incredibly sticky OS that has a great easy to use ecosystem. As much as Samsung also has an ecosystem to barrier to entry (which is essentially setup and knowledge) is too high. Marketing features will help but man they have some work to do and as long as they are reskinning android they will always be 2nd to Apple

      I own both an iphone 14pro max and the ultra s23. So yes I can compare the battery life. . They are both good phones but the s23 is my favorite at the moment. The iPhone with iOS 16 is very buggy. The refresh rate therefore does not seem to be 120 but 60 Hrtz. I'm not used to this from Apple. Apple's ecosystem is great, but at the moment the s 23 ultta is better purely in terms of device

    • @sonnet9634
      @sonnet9634 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Samsung should not follow Apple's pricing strategies. They offer great trade-in deals as is, so the market value depreciation compared to iPhone really isn't as big an issue as people try to make it out to be. I'd much rather pay less for a much better phone. Samsung is still making a profit, so no1 really loses.

    Just upgraded from the S22 Ultra to the S23 Ultra. Samsung refined the design, hardware and performance from the S22 Ultra. Nitpick, I just don't like that they give the 256GB 8GB of RAM and not the full 12GB of RAM. Definetly the best S23 Ultra review on youtube.

    I totally agree about the camera's versatility!!! There is only one thing that doesn't look good to me in auto mode: photos are often overexposed/too bright, and it makes things like plants and flowers look less detailed, even without the scene optimizer. (All the little details in a red flower, for instance, are difficult to see with the extra brightness and saturation.) I hope they improve that a little bit with the June update. Other than that, it is a greaaaat camera phone!

    • @neilmcguinness4422
      @neilmcguinness4422 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree that some photos and videos can look over exposed when you are dealing with flowers or deep forests on a sunny day etc. My remedy for this is on my S23 Ultra is to simply experiment with the manual exposure lock in auto mode. It gives me exactly the image or video effect that I am looking for. Especially in video. No more overly bright forest videos, just dark and moody scenery as the eye sees it. The S23 Ultra has a fantastic camera system, especially when you let it know what effect you are after.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 ULTRA IS THE BEST PHONE I HAVE EVER USED. AND I THINK THIS IS THE BEST ON THE PLANET RIGHT NOW...

    The Ultra destroys the iphone on EVERY aspect that matters: overall quality images and video, sound, speed in real day live, DEX, S-Pen, Multi-Window, Multi-Tasking, inscreen fingerprint scanner, KNOX, file-manager, integration with X-box live, Windows and Spotify. 10 x optical Zoom, Super RAW mode, 200 MP lens, 8K video at 24 fps, camera integration with TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, far better widgets and customization options (themes), fast charging (45 W)m reverse wireless charging and last but not least 100% integration of Samsung's eco-system SmartThings with Mercedes's MBUX Voice Assistant.
    The Ultra offers much more usability and productivity options, innovation options that matter, gaming- and multi-media experience.
    Magsafe is an Apple marketing gadget. It's the only 'innovation gadget' Apple has brought the past 6 years. Just like the hidious landing strip at the top of the screen which the Apple marketing named 'magic island'. Ridiculous.

    I really like Samsung's new Ultra phones, I have an S22U and it's the first phone I don't want to upgrade from. I really want 48mp zoom and macro lenses, I think that'll be my bar for upgrading. Probably close to the end of the software upgrade cycle for my phone. I think there's a solid argument that the S23U is the best phone made today. With the cameras, ecosystem (largest ecosystem, including Samsung appliances), built in apps, S Pen, best screen on any phone, and tied for best battery (?) it's hard to argue anything is a more complete package, as long as you prefer the finger print sensor to face unlock, which I do. You're not getting a lidar scan of my face until I have digital rights. I'm pretty confident MKBHD will give the best smartphone award to the Samsung Ultra series, again. Unless Apple REALLY pulls some magic out of their hat this fall.

I plan on leaving Apple 🍎 in the future because my phone 📱 just basically sucks so bad in the Sun ☀️ you basically can’t use it. It either gets too hot 🥵 or you can’t see it. I’m like WTF Apple. All hype and "honest" reviews aside, even midrange device with this kind of camera software/performance can't be "Phone of the year". S23 Ultra still has camera issues all Samsung phones in previous years had. Remove all camera "features" that most of the people will use once or never (Directors cut, Single take, Moon pics...) - shutter lag/motion blur because of it, choppy videos, weird color grading, unpredictable results...still as present as on any previous Samsung phone ! Photos of buildings and grass are fine, but try taking pic of moving subject (kid, pet...) even in ideal lighting conditions, you'll end up with blurry mess. My prehistoric Iphone 6 handles that well. S23 Ultra does not deliver when it comes to point and shoot camera usage, and I guess that's what majority of users want from phone camera. Forcing users to install third party app (Camera assistant) that's supposed to fix things (it doesn't) that shouldn't be there in the first place, extremely soft vibration, wifi connection problems, software updates that have only ruined the battery life so far, bloatware that can't be deleted (double SMS and email apps..)... - how can this be "Phone of the year" ?? Instead of being honest and objective , all these "wow, the best out there, no issues at all" hype videos will just make people switch as soon as new Iphone is released.

      @@techwithbenefits there is nothing abstract about telling the truth - S23 Ultra does not perform well when it comes to camera. Put it against S22 Ultra, even S21 or S20 - most of the people wouldn't even tell the difference. Put it against competitors like Iphone or Pixel - both of them outperform S23 Ultra. How can it be "phone of the year" ?
      I can understand Samsungs aggressive marketing and all money that goes in the pockets, but it's not good in long run, not for company or "honest youtubers"

    22:49 i disagree here. They made the edges slightly sharper and less "melt into the chassis" like with the s8. I like the thinner and more squared off bezels on the s9 vs the s8, and moving tge fingerprint reader was much, much better. but from a feel in the hand perspective, i liked the s8. It just feels more premium, you literally can't really even feel where tge glad ends and tge metal begins because of the way it just mrkts together seamlessly, and the shiney rails also help this visually. And if you get the all black phone, its even better because the front, back, and rails are the same color, and have the same shene to it. Shipboard like its made if a single slab of stone polished glass, like when you throw rocks in a rock tumbler and they come out polushed and perfectly round and smooth.
    The s10 improved on the s9's design and imo the back of the s10 looks better and so does the front vs the s8. But the feel in the hand, wow that phone just can't be beat. Its the smoothest, cleanest design to ever exist, save for the original oppo find x. Which i think they really missed the matk recently, they just look like every other phone now. Not that original popup camera that left tge phone looking so incredibly clean.
    By far the best looking phone ever made was the oppo find x, and idk who could top that tbh

    I got this phone from being a Oneplus 3/5 user so that's a big jump and upgrade. I'm enjoying my S23 Ultra so far but what I miss is the fast and physical fingerprint unlock (OP5 has one of the fastest) and more ability to customize like the accent and making the icons smaller. Hopefully we'll get more options to customize in the future

    • @MsDeathangel956

      I agree with this very much, the finger print unlock is not as good even after jumping from ultras 21 to 22 and now to 23. I came from Huawei P20 pro, although not an in screen finger lock, it was such a fast and responsive unlock. I would unlock with finger upside down or sideways and it would still pick up. So sometimes I use face ID to unlock and that is almost instant, so no real complaints, but a trade off i guess?

      @@MsDeathangel956 I am considering switching to the s23U from p20 Pro but to be honest still not sure it is worth since my H20Pro is still functioning fine, just oldish. Do you sincerely think the switch is that noticable? Also I did a simple comparison of the displays (tried some 4k tests on both phones and some other newer/older phones) and found out that the P20pro display was the best by far and that was the opinion of a room of people). Would appreciate your feedback here. Thanks!

    I got the Red 512gb one with 12 Ram as I tend to keep my phones for a while and wanted the extra ram to help with the speed of the phone in the future.
    This phone also gives me access to my carrier's 5G plus so now I get 250-410 Mbps speed. Where my old phone only gave me 5G which was still fast at 85-110 Mbps.
    To be honest I could care less about the camera as I do not take photos with my phone often. I have a DSLR for that plus in a lot of places I go when I travel you do not want to be pulling your phone out all the time.
    The screen is good as my eyesight is not the best close-up anymore. So it helps with being able to see more on the screen when I watch videos or read small text.
    The pen is doubt I will ever use it, but it is the and out of the way. I do wish it had the headphone jack as I have to worry about the battery of the phone and the headphones now.
    I do not like the extra Samsung apps that want me to use rather than Google. Auto fill is one of them and also NFC pay. I do not use the internet browser or the photo. I like Google's apps for that.
    The sound is OK of the speaker just wish it was better. However, I have my ear buds for that I guess.
    The battery of 5000 is good enough for me. I do understand that the better chip and screen you have l it will use more power than my old phone.
    I really doubt I will use the phone like a lot of people will use it. However, I believe and hope I do not have to get another phone for a least 3 years as I paid for it at full price.
