Picking up my s23u black 512gb from the post office tomorrow!!! I’m exited for the switch from the iPhone 13 Pro Max 🇨🇦🐬 love your videos so honest and right to the point
Switched from 13 pro to s23 ultra...What a enjoyable experience... Recently went on a trip and my friends literally took all the photos with my s23 ultra...
Samsung has Way better hardware but Pixel has way better software. Having to deal with Samsung apps fighting Google apps makes the entire Samsung experience suck. Bixby vs Google assistant etc I can not stand having all my pics go to Samsung gallery instead of just being able to pick Google photos as my ONLY photo app (without rooting) . I sold my S22 and got the Pixel 7 because of this. The pixel 7 is a 100x better experience vs Samsung and OneUI.
There are four things that keep me on the S23 Ultra instead of the Pixel - S Pen, Samsung Gallery, battery life, and the 10x zoom lens. I prefer how Google processes their images, though I can get pretty close with Gcam. It's still shocking to me that I often like the results from my Pixel 6a, which I picked up for $250, over my S23 Ultra's.
@@TheWon23kid It doesn't change the time and date of things you download and move to a new folder. Can also edit the time and date of stuff and the name of the file. Can do that too in Simple Gallery Pro but 1) I like that Samsung Gallery is included and 2) I didn't find out that Simple Gallery does the same thing until today. As far as I've been able to tell, I can't do that in Google Photos.
@@WaffleusRex hey man What results you exactly prefer from your pixel 6A in comparison with s 23 ultra You said it very generous That said keep it plain pls.
🐬I upgraded from galaxy s21u to S23u. I love everything about the galaxy series, but it is nice to see how it compares to others. Honestly, at the end of the day. You have to pick a phone with the features you want for sure. It's always fun to see these videos to see what else is out there.🐬
I have both and enjoy them for their uniqueness. One UI is great and I use Nova Launcher for my P7P. I don't like how it takes so long for the P7P to charge compared to the S23U, but they both do what they do.
I have a pixel 7 pro. Took me a while to get used to it but I like it now. However I really wish they'd upgrade the camera software though. I don't always like the results, sometimes it has far too much hdr for me personally and the fact we can only save 12.5mp images is just annoying and makes cropping images almost useless..
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is a league of it's own - far ahead and better than anything out there in today's market. I own both Pixel 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra - both are smooth and good in handling day to day tasks, but the S23 Ultra is just better overall. The additional bloat in S23 Ultra serves as utility for additional features the phone provides that's unmatched by anything else right now. The Ultra's smooth, fast, secure, great display, great speakers, no heating, has excellent battery backup that lasts all day with heavy usage - Pixel heavily disappoints in the last three parameters.. Moreover, the S pen has a lot of use for me and is unparalleled by any other. Will stick to Samsung just because of their innovation and utilities.
I absolutely detest the image processing on Samsung phones. Samsung's insultingly stubborn approach to aggressively sharpen every image and over-brighten unless the exposure compensation is manually reduced is frankly perplexing. But man, does the S23U make is almost impossible for me to return it. The improvements in battery life, performance, heat management is monumental over the S22U. The S22U was an embarrassingly bad phone particularly in its Exynos guise and was almost a slap in the face by Samsung for the price it came at. It proved the adage "you get what you pay for" so wrong that it was hilarious. I had sworn off of Samsung. But the S23U is a testament to a brand actually listening to it's user base. I'm still not happy with the oversharpened photos it produces, and I wish Samsung would take this as user feedback. Signs are there since the camera assistant actually now has a Picture Softening option. Which now makes me think why does Samsung still insist on adding artificial sharpness particularly when we have such big sensors and high Megapixels.
I don't what to sound patronizing here Nipun, but have you added camera assistant to your S23 Ultra and set your picture softening to high as this makes a marked difference when I have tried it?. Even in auto mode. Could not agree with you more about the auto exposure though. It does tend to favour over brightening images in auto mode. It is a small issue to have to re-calibrate this on screen to get a darkened more realistic look in some scenarios as you know. The problem is that many people buying the phone are not aware of things like this and end up disappointed with their resultant pictures and videos.
For the haptic feedback and the photo📷, it's quite subjective, strangely me for example I don't like the haptic feedback of the Pixels, on the other hand I prefer their default color management compared to the Galaxy. However, with the scene optimizer deactivated, the choice of the natural tone for the photos and the screen, and a little tour in photo settings to create my own filter, there I clearly prefer the Samsung yes I know it's a lot of steps 😅. But as I said, "I prefer", because I know a lot of people who absolutely hate the colorimetry of Pixel photos, they find them bland and too contrasty, like what, this Google thing is better in photography is very subjective, and it's actually more the youtubers and the ''semi-pro'' of photography who think so (a very, very small minority in real life 🤷🏽♂️). On video 📹, it's clear the S23 Ultra is above. Samsung (and all manufacturers for that matter) should copy the ''Photographic Style'' of iPhones, it's such a game changer, but it's so understated, it allows everyone to have exactly the colorimetric treatment and the contrast that suits him perfectly. Ps: Personally, I would not choose the Pixel 7 Pro against the S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, therefore against the S23 Ultra 🤷🏽♂️
I have been with Samsung since the note 4. I've always had a love/hate relationship with them. Although, I believe the s21 ultra is one of the best phones I've ever used. I got tired of One UI, it just felt meh even after updating it to 5.1. I really wanted a Google phone when they changed the design in the 6 series. But everyone has their issues and it put me off. I got the 7 pro after learning they addressed most of the issues. I must say, I have enjoyed my experience with the pixel. It's not the heaviest hitter, but it does what I want and it does it well. So I think imma rock with this pixel for a while. I've had a few issues but they've been fixed now. So I'm happy with my purchase. It's so satisfying to type on this phone. I still can't believe it at times. That being said, you can't really go wrong with either phone if you need to upgrade. S23 ultra is amazing and if I didn't get the pixel I probably would have gotten that. Wonderful video, you've gained a new sub. Cheers!! 🐬

Hi mate, back again 😁 Not sure how I keep coming across your comments. I have the s23 ultra and thinking but going the other way to pixel 7 pro. Not really impressed by the cameras on the ultra. What do you think?
@@graham1155hi buddy. I had the s23u for 2 weeks and have sold it. Agree the cameras in the scenarios I like are better on the P7P so have returned to that. The s23u brightened the photos too much in many situations and I didn't like that.
I have the s21U, s22u, s23u and Pixel 7 pro all actively in use in my household. I've put them all against each other app for app and there is NO significant difference in speed. 2 year old s21u opens up every app just a fast as the s23u. Even the camera app so we can kill that noise about superior performance unless your a gamer which I haven't tested (I'm a grown man with no time to game). The s23u's only real world advantage outside of a comparison test, in which large improvements are usually no more than nitpicking, is battery life which EVERYBODY with a days use would notice. The S21u out of them all still feels best in the hands with it's rounded design AND looks the best with it's camera bump. ALL the upgrades have been more "just because" than actual noticable upgrades.
I also rock two devices p7p and s23 u. I like them both but had to replace my Pixel twice with Assurion insurance due to motherboard and screen panel failure under normal conditions. Hardware hardware. I had to pay two Deductible so I've paid 500 dollars extra with Assurion.
On most reviews, or even all of the once that I’ve came across for that matter - I can see in the comments that people made a cross from iOS to Android because of the S23 Ultra. Ironically, I made the switch as well without really knowing the true potential of the phone or to even know that it was THAT good to begin with, because honestly it was an impulse buy after playing around with the phone’s camera at a tech store 😂. I said to my wife, “wow honey, look how powerful this camera is!” lol. It felt like I jumped ship just at the right moment, to a great phone. Greater specs, and most importantly- finally, better projection for software updates. Nothing against iOS though as I find the app support - although costly if compared to Android, is much better. For example, the Document app by Readdle at the moment is only exclusively for iOS and I’m gonna miss it a lot. And I miss iMovie. But for someone who has been an iSheep for years, not wanting to consider Android anymore even once, this is a surprising shift even for myself 😂.
🐬. Thank you for the honest review. I was looking at the Pixel pro in the T-mobile store a few days ago along with the s23 Ultra. I currently have the s21 Ultra, and I still have not received the One UI 5 update. My s21 plus received it and all the updates, but not my Ultra. I'm on the fence about buying the new Ultra just so I can get the updates?? Your thoughts about this?
S23 Ultra everyday, for me. Pixel 7 Pro is smooth, good cameras overall but if i buy a flagship, i want everything to the top, a Pro camera mode, a S-Pen, best battery life, best chip, i want it all. I'm not into Google AI features, voice features. Plus, only 3 years of Software Updates from Google for a phone i would pay 999€ for 8+256 Gb is not a good deal for me. I like Pixel 7 Pro in White Edition, and there are no bloatware but that's all. Google need to deliver a better product to gain marketshare.
Everyone is complimenting s23ultra camera, alright. But it just missed big time coz of shutter lag. It can't capture moments. It always misses out and delivers blurry photos. For posed, stationary photos, it might be a super camera but for moving objects, humans in action, slightest of the movement and it misses out.
@@RjeyTech i really hope so coz I've put it hard earned money on this phone and I love clicking moments and capture candids. I hate it right now, I can't just do that! All blurrrrr !!
I really don't understand this comparison, if you want to be fair, compare S23 Ultra with Pixel 8 Pro, but even then this two phones is like comparing apples to oranges.
The galaxy S 23 ultra without a doubt is the better phone but when you look at price to performance, I think the Google seven Pro is still the better choice and right now with all the sales on the seven pro. It’s definitely the better choice if you want to save a couple hundred bucks actually he’s going to use market. I just bought a pixel seven pro in mint condition 265 GB at $450
Google definitely cut corners on Pixel pro. I've taken to get repaired 5 times! The panel in this phone is really bad and the back glass is slippery I've also repaired it. All in all I've spent the amount of two Pixel phone just In repairs!
11:20 only had one problem with video. potrait mode on pixel sucks. the bokeh is a complete mess and the edge detection is the worst of any android out there. plus the oversharpening in potrait mode. all while the s23 ultra having the best potrait mode in any android.
And Samsung has been discovered that when you take photos your not getting actual photo. Samsung is using A. I. to enhance photos to what it thins it should look like. Does it on moon shots and many others. So if it’s camera is so good why does Samsung need to do this?
Samsung 23 ultra is the most overrated phone I have used!! Hands down. My pixel and 14 pro max shot for shot is killing it! The 23 ultra when I get home is for sure going back.
If you are looking for the ultimate flagship, then the only choice as of March 2023 is the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it has everything at the max along with the price tag. I'm happy with a great midrange phone and that's how I perceive the Pixel 7 Pro, so I got a used one 3 months after it was released at half the price of an S23 Ultra, both at the 256GB variant. I'm more than happy with it's average CPU performance in games, battery life, and slow charging, which are the only things I can find it lacking, for the price I paid. Make smart buying decisions people, if you've got spare money surely through it at any $/€/£1000+ flagship from Samsung/Apple etc, but if not, be happy with a 1-2 year old flagship or new midrange phone, your life doesn't depend on the MP of your phone's camera 👍🏽
How good would it be if Samsung released an S23 Ultra with stock Pixel software? That would be my dream android phone. As much as Samsung OneUI has many feature it's starting to look outdated. I still love it though. Let's hope OneUI 6.0 is different
I completely agree. As much as I like the s23 ultra with the battery life and features. The OneUI is getting old, outdated, and stale looking. I like the look of the Pixel UI better. I'm hoping OneUI 6 changes the looks. I may pick up a pixel 8 pro and enjoy both since I got $800 trade in for an old iPhone so s23U is only costing me $400.
🐬 Great video RJey Something I think I would have liked to see in this comparison is the comparison of Google Features that Samsung emulates. Such as Magic Eraser(Google) vs Object Eraser(Samsung) or sharing photos through Google Photos links vs Samsung Quick Share links
Don't know why but the Sony 1 iii the Sony 1 iv and the Sony 1 v our just as good and have a headphone jack plus exceptional camera's then there's oppo & OnePlus these phones keep up with the Samsung & pixel I have pixel 7 pro & Sony 1 iv I got the pixel to try Google software
I got the pixel 7 pro for a whopping $400. At first I thought that the person who sold it to me was going to call it in stolen and that I would have to get it unlocked. There is no way I could a phone of this magnitude for this price right? I used it a week and I found out why he sold it to me for $400. He actually beat me because it's only worth $200. These 2 phones should not even be compared. I hate the performance, and the overheating is horrific.
Why is your pixel battery life so low, people are getting 8+ SoT in a full days use. Some even hit 10. I guess usage does differ. I get 8hrs with 26 hrs of use / 1day 3hrs

Well the S23 Ultra is a big improvement over the S21 Ultra, but if you just want the update I'd suggest you wait it out and save some money
@@RjeyTech thank you
Ultra better phone but pixel still takes crown for photos imo
S23 Ultra everyday, for me. Pixel 7 Pro is smooth, good cameras overall but if i buy a flagship, i want everything to the top, a Pro camera mode, a S-Pen, best battery life, best chip, i want it all. I'm not into Google AI features, voice features. Plus, only 3 years of Software Updates from Google for a phone i would pay 999€ for 8+256 Gb is not a good deal for me.
I like Pixel 7 Pro in White Edition, and there are no bloatware but that's all. Google need to deliver a better product to gain marketshare.
S23 Ultra - Best phone right now 🐬
What is the wallpaper app u use
Backdrop
Good comparison there. 🐬
Glad you liked it!
Shutter lag is an issue, I addressed that in a separate video luckily we are getting an update soon
@@RjeyTech i really hope so coz I've put it hard earned money on this phone and I love clicking moments and capture candids. I hate it right now, I can't just do that! All blurrrrr !!
I still love the smartness of the pixel.
🐬 great video! I love my galaxy S23 ultra!!! 💚💚💚
I really don't understand this comparison, if you want to be fair, compare S23 Ultra with Pixel 8 Pro, but even then this two phones is like comparing apples to oranges.
You made me switch.... something else 😏
The Pixel 7 Pro for the price is just unbeatable 👌🏼
The price is great!
That's the point! And I've always had a soft spot for Pixel phones 🖤
You can get a way better phone for that price
@@RagingBad Like???
Thanks Jason. Glad you still like dolphins as well.
Always!
Great video, the second one of yours I checked out tonight, and you helped me make my decision to switch to the S23 Ultra soon! Oh and.....🐬
It's simple the best smartphone is s23 ultra!Pixel is the best value for money!
The galaxy S 23 ultra without a doubt is the better phone but when you look at price to performance, I think the Google seven Pro is still the better choice and right now with all the sales on the seven pro. It’s definitely the better choice if you want to save a couple hundred bucks actually he’s going to use market. I just bought a pixel seven pro in mint condition 265 GB at $450
The Pixel 7 Pro can be bought for $699 unlocked. Would you still say the S23 is worth it even with the huge price gap?
No for that price the pixel 7 Pro is a steal
Google definitely cut corners on Pixel pro. I've taken to get repaired 5 times! The panel in this phone is really bad and the back glass is slippery I've also repaired it. All in all I've spent the amount of two Pixel phone just In repairs!
A case?
I wish Samsung would address the shutter lag.
Can u send tht wallpaper ?
Pixel 7 Pro doesn't max out at 4k 30fps, it does at 4k 60fps...
For HDR it maxes out at 30fps
Link to wallpapers?

I don't need too much power of s23U. Pixel 7 pro and my 13 mini are enough on my daily needs
Thats a great combo honestly
@@RjeyTech yes sir, actually. They both worked really well. One ios and the other is vanilla android
Samsung 23 ultra is the most overrated phone I have used!! Hands down. My pixel and 14 pro max shot for shot is killing it! The 23 ultra when I get home is for sure going back.
You dominate my display 😏
Let people buy whatever the fuck they want, it's not your money
I love pixel 7 pro this month I buy pixel 7 pro should I buy or wait for pixel 8 pro
🐬 Great video RJey
Something I think I would have liked to see in this comparison is the comparison of Google Features that Samsung emulates. Such as Magic Eraser(Google) vs Object Eraser(Samsung) or sharing photos through Google Photos links vs Samsung Quick Share links
S23 ultra love Samsung and the note series
Love it!
29k closing in 👀
Truth is the pixel phone to compare with the s23 ultra is the pixel 8pro/ultra not the pixel 7 please
Tensor chip is worse than a SD 8g1... so end of the day, that junk Exynos clone never wins.
🐬I really enjoyed the s23 ultra for almost 1 month but I'm back on that dynamic island gimmick since I like a more minimalistic software
Make sense! Thanks for watching
IDK how u get only 6h SOT?
It depends on how you use it, but normal use On my Pixel 7 I get 7-8h sot easy
It's on 5G mostly
If I'm on Wi-Fi I can get 6 to 7 hrs of battery life but on 5g I get only 4 to 5 hrs the modem on pixel 7 pro is no good
s23 ultra is a stealth beast..pixel is still the best at its price🐬🐬
Yep pretty much!
🐬 amazing comparison
Heating issue is worse
🐬. Nice review sir

🤔 why Samsung cannot offer Dolby Vision in their phones... This is also a reason some. People buy oneplus i think

So the Pixel have haptics going on? 😂 btw Samsung has bixby calls... there's no comparison here, the S23U is the real flagship
Why is your pixel battery life so low, people are getting 8+ SoT in a full days use. Some even hit 10. I guess usage does differ. I get 8hrs with 26 hrs of use / 1day 3hrs
I use all my phones on 5G for most of my day
@@RjeyTech Samsungs do have better reception, My Old S22 ULtra did hold signal better than my Pixel 7 Pro so it could be a factor🤔. Great video by the way🙏
On Wi-Fi or 5g data?
