Have owned a 450SR for 2 months now and so far I've only changed the exhaust and the plate holder. Both were fairly easy to do and I've never done anything on either motorcycles or cars (only PCs lol). The only struggle I had was unplugging some of the cables for the blinkers cuz they were REALLY stuck in there. Currently waiting for some new levers, grips and those anti slip pads for the tank.
Hope you keep enjoying it and ride safe :)
Oh nice! Yeah super easy isnt it!? I just finished an exhaust video that I posted yesterday and kept thinking, wow 6 minutes of edited content for 3 steps felt very unnecessary lmao.
For those wire plugs, I use a set of pliers and picks that’ve helped me tremendously… I hope they can attack those too. Sounds like a fun mod list man!! Hope you enjoy your new mods 😁😁😁
@@GTCharlie Tkx, i legit took the longest to get those darn cables out lol my fingers were tired haha.
Hey even if it's short it's always useful for someone out there i'm sure
Cool video, i enjoyed it!
Means a lot that you stopped to comment! Thank you friend :D
I own a 450ss 2023, and to be honest i never had any issues with the high beam switch.
Really?? Maybe my glove might actually be too big or something... Or maybe I just move around a lot? Hahah
@@GTCharlie Maybe haha! And i'm completly with you with aliexpress. The bike is chinese so a lot of the aftermarket parts i found were oem for the 450SR. Thanks for the video btw.
@@adamlaferriere3791 I appreciate you watching!
I ended up buying a lot of parts and recording my installs + rating them but the more I ride it, the more issues I found with them... No OEMs but aftermarket parts for cosmetics and grip pads and all. The pads literally just fell off. LOL
Respect dialing back
Im on my first bike a 250cc sometimes i get thinking i wanna bigger faster bike. Im really new still so taking my time learning. So seeing you talk about dialing back is really awesome i never see people talk about that. Pretty cool
Thank you for the comment! I do notice its a hard thing to do when it comes to pride with bikes and engine power in the community. I think being close to getting seriously hurt multiple times changed my mind about how I move forward with bikes. I appreciate you!
I seen people move up to quick, then yeet themselves off the bike. Recover then never ride again.
Lots of options CF Moto USA, Ali Express, EBay, Amazon.
@@JessicaSimonson1976 Yeah I agree.. It was the last person I'd expect to have an injury that has that happen to as well.. :(
@@JessicaSimonson1976 I think you may be talking about parts options right? Yeah I didn't even see CF Moto USA until I came home with the bike... weird it never showed up for me. I saw eBay but it looked like overpriced Ali express product listings haha
Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you for watching!
Would you say this is a good first motorcycle? I’ve been riding dirt bikes for around 10 years and I was thinking this would be a good first street bike.
I was thinking either this or the Ninja 500 but I really like the look of the CFMOTO!
Id say absolutely yes. You’d have the experience already to deal with turns and issues in the road, so I feel like 400-600 would be a fun experience for you. You might get bored if you’re a super speed demon though hahah. But otherwise, you’d have sufficient power to pass people on the freeway and look good doing it!
My best advice to you would be… a test drive is always free ;)
Im looking into one right now, the only thing is im concerned about is it being chinese made T-T, since they usually make it cheap but it really does look reliable and i lovee the look
I understand your concern but trust me, not everything coming out of China is bad. Do worry about the parts availability after this tariff though LOL.
This is my favorite bike out of any I've bought and I'd 100% recommend it to you man :) 350-400 miles so far, no problems whatsoever
@@GTCharlie yess thank you lol
My man here is a certified pro gamer with all that rgb overload.
It aint gamin if the case aint ravin.
No but seriously, I actually don’t even PC game lmao
@@GTCharlie lol that makes it even funnier. Like this might be a good thought experiment of how the pc industry has shifted so much towards entertainment in the last 10 years.
@@vali69 When I built my room, it was purely on aesthetics and futuristic ideas. I can definitely agree on that.
Some people like lots of ketchup on their hot dog. Some a little. But me, I like a lot of RGB on mine
@@GTCharlie I think I outgrew it. Ten years ago in my teenage years upgrading to a new setup from my first ever pc it was the stuff to have since it was like the beginning of the trend and all prebuilt gaming mechanic keyboards started getting rgb leds and stuff. I think what played a big role for me was discovering the custom mechanical keyboard hobby and finding a monitor lamp that's a way better light source than rgb led strips. Like I started looking at the actual color of the plastics insead of getting something black with rgb leds and so that's what matters to me now, more color less rainbows. Funnily enough.
@@vali69 nice I can feel that, but I feel that more on my car than my pc :)
Still a bit confused about the last lart wirh the throttle. Is this something you noticed or was it only an issue that redditor noticed? Is it something we can chabge or do we need to jsge the dealership do it?
Hey! Pretty much the throttle has a LOT of slack. I noticed it as well when I examined a few of them. The service guy agreed, took it to the back and reduced the slack / freeplay. You can do it at home too! He did it in about 2 minutes
@@GTCharlie haven't ridden a bike before and don't know much about them, thinking of getting this as my first bike, what does slack (/Freeplay) mean in this case? And what could I search up to fix this issue myself once I do get the bike? 😅
@@decshado69 ahh i got you bro!
Imagine if you’re driving a car right…
Then you push the gas in an inch. Nothing happens. Its loose.
Another inch. Its loose. Nothing happens.
All of a sudden, the next inch you push in, you feel a slight resistance and you finally see the car moving forward.
Thats like the bikes throttle. It has a lot of slack in the throttle at first. You can correct it by adjusting the throttle to have less free play. So then, it won’t feel like you’re trying to do a muscle-up on your throttle while trying to pass someone on the freeway :)
@@GTCharlie great analogy man, now I get it. Thank you so much for the replies and explanations, when I get this bike I'll definitely get this adjusted as well!
@@decshado69no problem man! Just holler if you need me!
I've just gotten my license and I'm trying to decide whether I would like this bike more or the Aprilia rs 457
Ah man the 457 is so nice looking too. If I were in your shoes I’d choose the 450ss unless the 457 is way cheaper :P
@@GTCharlie I agree! I'm leaning more towards the cfmoto one as it's about 1k cheaper
@@rockyy452 Yesss! Keep me updated man. Hope it goes well for you!
How much did you pay OTD?
Right around $7k
@@GTCharlie thanks a lot man, i appreciate it
@@carlosyera3074 good luck on your buy!
is it faster than ninja 400?
Never ridden a 400cc Ninja but we do have higher displacement for what its worth 🤷♂️ haha
Yes
So handsome
Whens OG FN coming out :(
