    Im 48 and I just bought my very first bike, a 2023 CFMOTO 450ss a month ago. And I’m so glad I chose this bike. It’s amazing and so much fun.

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders thank you. I did months of research and based on my skill level (none), price, TH-cam reviews and style I chose the 450 over the Ninja 400. Everybody, it seems, has a Ninja. Nobody has a 450. I had to drive an hour and a half with a buddy of mine to get it because they were sold out everywhere else.

      My first bike was a gen 1 Ninja 250 many years ago. I had a lot of good times riding that motorcycle as I'm sure you will with the 450ss. They do sell quickly and for good reason. Again, congratulations and enjoy. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it.

    With regards to the 0-60: I believe someone mentioned this in the comments on the video about the 450NK, but the engine revs past the redline to 12.3k. The Ninja 400 does the same thing, its rev limiter is about 13k in spite of a 12k redline. Both bikes should be theoretically capable of sub 5 second 0-60s.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      After breakin it will rev higher and yes it should absolutely be sub 5 even with my heavy ass on it lol

    Is that Randys Cycle in IL ? I bought my first bike there last summer (450SS). Great place to buy a bike. I've had zero issues with it so far and love it. I get tons of compliments on it. I always wondered if we would get the 450SR-S for 2024 instead of the SR(SS) 😢 I guess not.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it is! I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying yours. And yeah, i agree with you! Randy's Cycle is such a great dealership. Truly cares about riders. I would have loved to see the SR-S. A single sided swingarm looks awesome, but I don't think we will get it until 2025. Was speaking with Randy about that one, the 450 mt, the 500, the 675, and the future 1000cc. Exciting times, but the rest of the world is getting better versions right now, sadly. I'm glad you took the time to share your experience. Stay safe

    Great review. I’ve got the 2024 CFMOTO 450SRS which has the single swing arm, ABS, traction control, Brembo brakes and adjustable front suspension. Awesome first bike with plenty of power for a beginner rider. My next bike will be an Aprilia RS660, but for now, I’m loving this 450SRS!

      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for watching. I must say I am jealous of the markets that got the srs. I would have bought the srs buy since we didn't get it in America. But that said since all we got was the SS I bought it after the first ride. Such a great bike to ride for fun and for a daily bike. I find myself riding this more than my 8 other bikes. It is a solid choice for a first bike and yeah the RS660 would be a get bike for a second. Appreciate you for taking the time to comment and hope you stay safe and enjoy the ride.

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders Thanks mate! I’m sure America will get the SRS in time too 🙏🏼
      I bought the SRS without even riding it! lol! I knew it would be perfect for me as a first bike and couldn’t be happier. In Australia we’re restricted to a certain power:weight ratio on a restricted license for 3 years before we can ride a more powerful bike. I’m very happy with the performance of the 450SRS. Gets me away from cars quick enough for the street. Great commuting bike too. Enjoy and be safe too matey! 😎👍🏼

    If you use synthetic oil will that increase the oil change interval to 5k instead of 3k

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not really in my opinion. I've always used synthetic oil for all the bikes I've owned in the past 10 years(20 Different Models) and I follow the 3k rule on everything. When dealing with a bike since the oil is being shared with the clutch you always get some material in the system that it just makes sense to do a regular 3k oil change to make sure the system is as clean as possible. Now that said I do my own maintenance so in general its around $60 and an hour of work to do the oil so not bad. As I mentioned better to spend a small amount than deal with a bigger issue later. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the question. I hope it helps and hope you stay safe

    Been looking at this one as a commute bike for Los Angeles traffic. I ride a 1340cc and the constant stop and go (lane splitting gets dicey these days so I dont always do it anymore after getting hit in Glendale) gets exhausting. I know this is a beginner bike; but the weight of this, looks and low price is my reason for it. However; after years of riding large cruisers and previous cbrs (20 years of riding) will this bike feel too low on the power spectrum for me? I dont want super bike crotch rockets because i need the wife to know i wont be tempted to race a squid with a bigger bike. Lol

      Purchased it. I've been commuting with it for a week now and feels great! Stop and go on it is easy.
      Only downfall is if you have carpal tunnel your hands go numb after an hour of leaning on them. The tank is smaller than what im used to, so griping the tank with my thighs is a lot more of a workout but manageable. Its definitely less HP than im used to. 100% agree, and that would be the first aftermarket mod I would make on this bike. I looked and found the bracket to replace the passenger pegs all ready for $35 and a full exhaust system for $350. Not that it needs to be done, but after I got done filming and on my way home, I was already mod planning for a small bike track setup. I think I have a motorcycle addiction and may need help, lol. Here's the deal. No one knows what the reliability on the CFMoto bikes are going to look like long term. Good luck getting a seat cowel! Or an oil filter. I can tell you, I have yet to find anyone who can provide you an oil filter, fairing replacement, or a fracking replacement puck. All of which a friend needs. He placed an order, direct from CFMoto, (since no dealers could get him anything in TX or OK) for all of the above in Sept and has yet to receive anything. My whole reason for watching this review, since I hate this bike, was hoping there would be something about maintenance/replacement parts. Trying to help my boy out.

      That is of course something to keep in mind but CFMoto isn't the normal Chinese company. They are pushing the market to make things cheaper and better. This bike is a very good indicator of that fact. Triumph speed 400, Aprilia 457, Ninja 500. All are very cool bikes and aside from the Aprilia are relatively cost effective. As CFMoto builds out the dealer networks across the country it is a different animal and in 5 years will have carved out a nice part of the market. We are all entitled to our opinions and I can understand and respect yours even if I disagree. Ultimately we are all riders and I don't care what you ride just that your riding. I love the ninja 400 but I'm frustrated by the "Ninja 500" or what they should have called the Ninja 450. I can tell you that I bought the 450SS I rode in this video because I loved it that much to add to my bike collection. I have pushed it fairly had for 2500+ miles and haven't had any issues with it personally. I doubled up on the oil changes (600, 1200 and 2400 miles) to be safe but to also check the oil and for metal shavings and haven't found or had any issues with it. I liked the performance and the look of the 450SS. Just my personal experence with it but I know that since CFMoto is relatively new to the US Market and the stigma of being a "Chinese bike" can play a factor and I respect that.
