Did I hear correctly that there's no way to run this new Maestro on 13.8 volts? Most emcomm setups I know of have 12-volt batteries that can be charged with solar panels. I don't think I know of any ham using 24 volts in their shack or when they're mobile.
You heard correctly. You are bringing a maestro and flex portable for emmcom work? Not sure that's the best setup, right? You can purchase a 12 to 24 volt setup converter pretty cheap on Amazon.

Hey you guys were just about ready to say what the screen resolution is but the conversation changed. Is it truly 1920 x 1280 like the original M models? The original maestros were 1280 x 800 if it is indeed the 1920 x 1280 that would be awesome.

OK is a little better than the (A) or (B) but it's just an outdated overpriced product that's not very useful. Better off with a laptop and the USB FlexControl.

Unfortunately, as of 2024 they are way behind in the market which is sad because they had such a lead back in 2012 and were way ahead of the competition but I guess their military contract with Raytheon has taken them away from Ham radio, I guess they have to go where the money is.

BTW you still can't directly connect the Maestro to WIFI in a hotel or coffee shop without and PC so what's the Point?
Also, The Noise Blanker and Noise reduction just barely works after all these years that SmartSDR has been out?

After my 6600M went on fire while in receive that was it for me, sent it back for repair and sold it!

I have no idea what you consider baby talk and where you heard it in the interview. The HDMI committee is notorious for asking for copyright on videos.
Nice but overpriced for not being a full radio. its just a remote head. this is whats killing ham radio they are not making it for hobby they are making it more for industrial and military

Hey, if you think the maestro as just a display is expensive well check out the Elecraft remote display that’s remote for the K3 that doesn’t even have a spectrum display and it’s more expensive so it’s a bargain!
