Kind of amazed that Abbey can get a response from the Chemist at Dove, but I can't get a single response from the 10 people I reached out to at my own job 2 weeks ago. Honestly, I'm impressed 😄
You’ve gotten me to try drugstore products for the first time in nearly 30 years and I’m loving them! Love all your breakdowns on ingredients and results!
Abbey, you can not believe how you've saved my hair after my cancer experience which totally changed my hair texture. I am forever grateful for finding you and I will recommend you to everyone who has hair problems. Thank you thank you thank you❤
In Abbey’s earlier videos, I remember being told to focus our shampoo choices for our scalp, for cleansing purposes only. Then to focus conditioning on our mids-lengths. This made and still makes sense to me. So now, I rarely buy a “repairatve” shampoo because it seems like a waste of money, given it is rinsed out so quickly. I instead put my money toward conditioners and leave-in products.
Yes this is absolutely true that the focus is our scalp!! They can still be helpful for lengths/ends though as they rinse- depositing some of those extra benefits to damaged hair types that need it! Totally up to what each person's hair type needs & how they respond to certain products 😊
Yeah I would just get the conditioner in these sets and go with a more basic shampoo if you want to save $ that's what I do usually I like to mix and match.
I get awful dandruff and the only shampoo I can use is Head and Shoulders. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to use a full shampoo/conditioner set- I’ve always had to mix and match. I always get good results though, so these fancier repair shampoos definitely aren’t a necessity and might do more harm than good depending on your scalp condition
It’s only been a month, but your recommendations are absolutely saving my hair, and my daughter’s hair! For the first time ever we have really shiny, smooth and soft hair that’s improving more and more with bond treatments and glosses. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and thorough reviews, recommendations, and example hair routines. I never learned anything about haircare growing up and your videos are immensely helpful!!! L’oreal, Pantene, and Dove especially are just incredible haircare brands.
check out the labmuffinscience video about heat protection! it does a really good job of explain the science behind them and what ingredient to look for
Omg yeah these are my favourites too!! Thank your for this video ❤❤ --- A little synthesis for people who doesn't have time to watch the whole video: (Ranked from lightweight to thick and heavy) 1. Dove Intensive Repair $4,84 2. Garnier Fructis Hair Filler Strength Repair $9,99 3. Not Your Mother's Tough Love $11,99 4. Dove Bond Strength $3,99 -------Thicker options------ 5. Pureology Strength Cure $37 6. Oribe Gold Lust $53 + $56 7. Amika The Cure $28 8. L'Oréal EverPure Bond Repair $9,99 9. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate $34 Love you and your content Abbey keep going! ❤❤😊
Thanks to all of your videos my hair is getting so much healthier! I realized that the lighter weight options are better for me. The Dove Intensive Repair conditioner and the Garnier Hair Filler treatment and Strength conditioner leave my hair feeling amazing! So healthy and shiny, but not heavy at all. The Bond Strength line feels great, but did weigh my hair down. For shampoos, I do need that deeper cleanse every wash to prevent my hair from being weighed down, and I've loved alternating between Pantene Volume and Body Shampoo and Garnier Pure Clean shampoo. I appreciate the drug store recommendations so trying different options to see what works is not too expensive. Thank you! :)
Yay I'm so glad you're loving them!! And totally agree bond strength can just be a bit too much for certain hair types in the volume/sleekening department!!
@@b.b7305you're welcome! If you have more fine hair like I do, the Garnier hair filler conditioner and dove intensive repair conditioner are definitely amazing lighter weight options while still leaving your hair so soft and moisturized.
I believe still mentioning expensive set like Oribe is important. Sometimes we want to get ourselves something fancy just for the sake of it, so knowing what's actually good is helpful not to be disappointed by something that was supposed to be a positive experience.
Thank you Abbey! If you're taking video topic requests, I hope you consider making one about haircare for color treated hair! What ingredients and products to use that won't strip the color, etc. Thank you!
That's my request, too! I color my hair now to mimic my natural dark auburn. Reds wash out and fade faster than other colors. I've used and loved your Pantene and L'Oreal shampoo suggestions, and they fade my color quickly. I have thick, straight, fine hair and silkeners weigh and flatten it down. Any suggestions? I love your videos. Very helpful!
It’s been about a year since I started following your advice, with fine frizzy damaged hair… this week my hair stylist just told me I really have no visible damage, my hair feels so silky soft… AND using much less expensive products! Thank you Abbey!!!!
I've purchased several of your recommendations and have had great results with them! My hair especially loved the L'Oreal! Unfortunately I didn't love the smell and texture of it... maybe I'll give it another try lol I'd love to hear your thoughts on Monday haircare! I'm using their Moisture conditioner now, and its the perfect amount of moisture and slip without weighing down my hair at all! Which I'm very prone too! The smell is not very strong either for those sensitive to smells
Hi Abbey! I have been a long time subscriber! You are my favorite YTer 🥰 I have trich and to be honest used to always skip your hair care because I didnt have enough hair and was constantly pulling. I’ve since been using NAC and been able to regrow my hair. You have been the sole person I go to for hair/scalp education. Thank you for all you do! Love from NY!!
Abbey!! I have been following almost all of your tips. My hair is feeling and looking incredible. I get compliments on it all the time which is crazy and I been using the panting and body along with pureology (which I’ve been using for four years) and yesterday the bond repair set from arrived and I used that combo last night for the first time, because of you. My hair is still in curls. It’s 7:22 AM and I’m so excited to take my hair out later but yeah the Dave intensive repair. I’m very excited to see how that works the next couple weeks!!
I have fine Slavic hair, prone to dry patches on scalp in winter, I colour my hair from dark blonde to chocolate brown so for me personally Pureology works the best. To ensure my scalp is cleansed I use A’PIEU Raspberry Vinegar Scalp Treatment, I’ve tried them all but this one is light enough to use couple of times a week to swap for a detox shampoo. Then I go in with pureology. This is the only way I’ve been able to get a great clean and keep my colour. I love this channel!
I have very thick, heavy wavy, coarse hair and I absolutely love Dove Bond strength and Amika The kure (especially the hair mask)I especially love the dove. I have also been using the ouai detox shampoo. A brand that is not well known that my hair person uses is Shibu. That line has the best cream gel + taming lotion that I have ever used. I combine the two and scrunch my hair for perfect curls that feel amazing. FYI.
Weird... I have thick, course, wavy/curly, with grey, and my hair doesn't seem to like too much protein. I've tried the Dove Bond Strength, wanting to like it, but I could see the angry wet frizz. Oh well. I guess it's not for my hair. My hair is virgin, no chemical, mechanical or heat damage.
Although it wasn’t listed as a set in this video, Pantene Volume & Body was a game-changer for me!! I recently purchased Dove Bond Strength shampoo and conditioner- I like it, but I think I will try the Dove Intensive Repair system or Garnier Hair Filler next, as my hair is pretty thin and fine, so I could go for something even lighter-weight.
By the way, I appreciate your videos so much. I have a health condition that literally destroyed my hair. And my hair used to be thick and long and down my back. And it died. Like 3 years ago and I just got it to maybe a little bit to my shoulders. It was like up to my ears. And I still have issues with losing my hair. But your videos absolutely saved me. And I just want to say thank you for that. I don't know if you are ever ever going to like. Do like giveaways or anything like that. That would be amazing. But I've learned so much from you and I just want to say thank you. Cause you literally have help me make my hair healthy again. Thanks so much.
So sorry to hear your hair suffered due to health issues! I remember many years ago being placed on a medication that caused quite a bit of hair loss. By the time I got to work in the morning I’d be covered in a layer of hair that fell out, and most people just didn’t understand. 😕
I love love love Dove’s bond strength set after discovering it through you Abbey. But it doesn’t keep my hair clean for more than a day. It weighs down my baby fine, low density, high porosity hair. I’m definitely going to give the repair system a try once I finish the bond strength up. I don’t know how I missed your recommendation trying the repair over bond strength. I typically start every shampoo with Pantene volume and do a second wash with dove. My current absolute favorite is Pantene smoothing line. Abbey you are always full of great recommendations and research to back them up ❤❤❤
Yes Intensive Repair sounds like the better fit for your hair type!! Or another thing that may really help is just using a different clear shampoo and pairing it with either the intensive repair or bond strength conditioner
@ I’m actually going for Garnier instead. They have a new system in their bond/filler line totally targeted towards our hair type. My hair doesn’t stay clean long no matter what I use. But it definitely can go 2-3 days if I don’t Dove bonds strength.
I have fine medium density wavy hair. I’m pretty sure it’s silky with whatever I use to wash it so I look for a good cleanse, won’t weigh it down, just overall makes it look good but not harder to style as it already doesn’t want to hold a style because it’s so soft. I’ve tried the Garnier one and like it, but don’t love it. It works well for me. I’ll probably try the Dove one to see how it does. I like ones not listed: Aquage Strength, I think it is - it’s dark blue. And Living Proof Curl.
Dove intensive repair is unreal!! I used it years ago and my hair was the healthiest. Went back to it recently and can’t believe I ever stopped. However, the Oribe scent is unreal and will always have a hold on me. My favorite scent in the whole world😩
I recently got the Pantene body & volume and dove bond mask and omg my hair feels so soft and clean and fresh! Thank you Abbey! I want to try one of these shampoos cause I think Pantene is a bit too much for every wash for me. Also I noticed that a couple years ago you mentioned you didn't like dove or wouldn't want to try it (or something) and now there's two sets in this video! Love to see people open to trying new things and changing opinions based on new try's or new info
yay!! love to hear it. And yeah I really have done a 180 on my thoughts/opinions about some aspects of the hair industry. I definitely used to just judge brands like Dove based on the packaging but now that I know the science behind the products & how they make my hair feel I am a changed woman 😂
I am SO EXCITED FOR THIS VIDEO!! My current hair care lineup is completely Abby-recommended lol! I use the L’Oréal ever pure clarify shampoo for first cleanse then dove dryness & itch relief for second cleanse (not sure if that’s the best order for those??) then I use the dove bond strength 10 in 1 serum mask for conditioner! All of that followed by L’Oréal ever pure 21 in 1 spray & sometimes wow dream coat before blow dry. This has my hair softer and healthier than I ever thought possible, and I’m a full time student and can actually afford these products🥹 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your work abby!! You thoroughness and dedication to quality is impeccable, and thank you so much for being authentic!!
I was kind of hesitant about mentioning this, but since Dove changed the packaging / formula on the bond repair shampoo & conditioner the price has increased by a dollar a bottle. Since you seem to have a relationship with the Dove brand could you please tell them that we are disappointed in the price increase. Thank you ❤ you’re amazing! Love your content 🥰
*Fine, Low Density* . For me, I put more stock into treatments rather than sets. I was experiencing major fall out and breakage at 57. I tried the Dove Bond Strength, but the intense fragrance was too much and the shampoo irritated my scalp. I have recently started using Nioxin Pro Clinical Hair Fall Dense shampoo and scalp serum. Amazing results in reduced shedding after just 1 month. I use the Garnier Pre-poo Bond treatment once per week. *L'Oreal Ever Pure Bond Oil in Serum* , has been a true game changer for my mids-ends. I have never tried the Olaplex oil due to the price. My fine hair is loving the L'oreal product, my hair feels smooth, light and stronger. It does have an intense fragrance, I use one pump to cover ends and work up to mids. My hair drinks it up and it doesn't feel greasy or heavy. Sets are convenient but also marketing. I want to address all my hair care concerns from scalp to ends. Abbey, I truly appreciate the time and attention to detail you put into your content, it's been super helpful for me. TY
Ok - this helped me considerably. I tried the Dove Bond Repair several times and my hair felt so weighed down. I couldn’t figure out why it was such a hit for so many but not me. I have to try the other Dove! Currently I use the Pantene volume because I really love squeaky clean hair and follow it up with L’Oréal Bond conditioner and/or glossing but I wonder if I use the L’Oréal because I love the smell so much! 😂 I’ll try the Dove Intensive next time. Thanks for sorting through this in this way! P.S. Almost everything I use hair care wise is based on your recommendations so thank you so much!!
I'm slowly working through some of these (budget) favorites. Not Your Mothers conditioner is amazing, but the shampoo is not my favorite. Dove Bond Strength weighed my hair down way too much. The first couple times using them was fine but after that my hair started to get super heavy and flat
I recently picked up the L’Oréal bond repair and I LOVE IT! I have finer hair and it still works out so great for me, the smell is Devine!! lol but it makes my hair so soft and silky!
I've tried Pureology Strength Cure, Redken Acidic Bonding, and most recently Dove Bond Strength--the Dove really impressed me! I honestly don't buy any hair care items unless they are Abbey Yung approved 🙂
I really like the Redken Hair system, including the leave in conditioner. In order to prevent build-up, I shampoo first using Redken volumizing shampoo prior to shampooing with the bonding dystem. I have very fine hair. Thank you for your videos.
@ yay! I also tried the Pantene sheer volume shampoo that you recommended and wow! I use that every few wash days and it helps get rid of product build up so well and my god the VOLUME
I use the not your mothers tough love bonding treatment, their shampoo and conditioner and it smells great. Combined with the dove hair mask and my hair is soo soft
Based on your recommendation before, I have started using the Pantene volume and body shampoo with the dove bonding strength conditioner. I have pretty fine and thin hair. Gets weighed down pretty easily, but I seem to have a lot of volume when I use those too.
After using finishing my first bottles of Dove Bond Repair yesterday, my hair feels so much better than it has in a really long time! Using Intensive repair this go round. Thank you!
I haven't seen one recently and combed through your videos, but I have similar hair to yours and was wondering if you could do a "best of" drugstore leave-in products? I do use the pantene 10 in 1 spray and it works well, but i feel I need something with a bit more hydration in these dry winter months!
The women in my family are sick of paying $30+ for fancy shampoo and $30+ for the matching conditioner. I totally understand that. They have all gone back to drugstore products and are actually happy. Drugstore products definitely have stepped it up.
I've used Aveda hair care for 20 years. Over the last 3-4 years, they've changed their haircare to "vegan" formulas, and my hair just doesn't love them. I'm super sad, but I've been watching your videos to see options that might work for my hair, and as soon as I start to run out of my old Aveda stuff, that does still work for me, I'll be giving some of these formulas a try.
I used to believe that my fine, virgin, high density, non-heat styled, wavy/curly hair could only grow a certain length before it would break off, because I was only ever using conditioners and other products that were marketed for curly hair! Meaning, the products would usually be silicone- free and very heavy with lots of butters and oils, and often more expensive. Those products might work for coarser, curlier hair types but just do not work for me. Thanks to your recommendations, Abbey, I might actually be able to grow the long hair of my dreams! At the very least, my hair feels absolutely amazing at the length it’s at and I’m actually saving money, all thanks to your videos. I’m absolutely loving the Dove Bond Strength conditioner and mask, and I’m excited to try out the Not Your Mothers or Garnier next!
Please try bath & body works haircare. Its the best I have ever used. And I used more than 300 shampoos and conditioners in my life. My hair is tailbone lenght and platinum bleached. The conditioners are very thick and creamy, but my hair ist still voluminous after I used and very shiny, soft and good looking
It is tricky trying to figure out my fine, medium, middle-aging hair in this Midwest climate. Sometimes it can feel a bit too soft that I think it might be best to avoid conditioner and just use a leave-in. I do switch around with NYM Tough Love and Redken Brews, not sure about the OGX shampoos. But currently Pantene Moisture does a decent job dealing with the winter, so far.
i would love some "non drugstore" suggestions that are on the thinner side. All your non-drugstore options are creamier products. I have fine, thin hair that is easily weighed down. TY
The Virtue Labs is prob the best for my hair, with the Crown Affair hair mask, when I’m able to treat myself. I have been really enjoying the Everpure bond set & the dove bond repair as well!
I really wish we had the Dove, Not your mothers and Garnier in the UK, even with the Pantene you recommend, I think formula is different from the US as we have a range called "Molecular Bond Repair" here but I'm not sure if its the same as your "Miracle Rescue" range,... Great informative video though as always! xx
@@AbbeyYung As you have been able to establish contact with the brands it would be wonderful if you asked them to provide you with the most similar products they have outside the US to your favorites so people like me who live in Europe (and even outside the EU) can have a chance at buying something remotely close from the same brands. Things that are unavailable in literally any and all drugstores here where I am (outside those that specialize in importing stuff not available here otherwise, at ridic high prices of course): literally every single product you mentioned in this video. Every. Single. One. Does not exist here. It's ridiculously frustrating going to stores and literally spending half an hour just staring at full shelves of products that are almost what you recommend but never actually that, and trying to compare ingredients in-store is just frustrating and has not helped find a local version of anything at all. I have current splurged on the Molecular Bond Repair Pantene only because it had the golden color like you said in a short and specified repair in the name but it was not cheap and for such a small bottle so far I am fairly unimpressed, it's not bad but I would not rave about it, the tiny "pearls" that need to be squished to get the full effect (I guess? unless they're just for show?) are a pain and almost half of the product ends up in the bathtub instead of staying in my palms. I wonder how much like the Pantene product you recommended it actually is, and how much it's different. Would be great to know for other brands as well, for future reference so I can stop buying then hating/finding it's awful for my hair and never using it. (Also, for reference, our local paychecks are like one 0 less than where you are, but prices of various products are not only the same but even more expensive here. So a $6 dollar Pantene conditioner that may or may not be a bonding treatment and need an actual conditioner as a follow up is not affordable, it's mid-price lux. Cheaper than actual K-18 (if I ever find the bond repair in the store again, has been missing for over 6 months) and OlaPlex (not even available in drug stores, even specialized ones, just a literal handful in the whole country), but far from "drugstore" cheap. Just something to also keep in mind. tl;dr - please if you could just once try to make an international aimed video with local variations of your recommended products, with help from your contacts with the brands, that would be actually super awesome and amazingly helpful.
this is an interesting topic because ingredients can be added to protect color even if a formula has sulfates! I'll see what some chemists think about this!
hello from germany, i want to thank you because of you i was searching here for the dove hair care and since i found and used it my hair feels sooo soft clean and i absolutly love it
I have fine thin hair and highly recommend the Dove Oxygen Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I need to try the reformulated L'Oreal bond repair. The original scent was horrible and my husband always pointed out how bad my hair smelled. 😅
Please try the brand Luseta, specifically the Glossy Pearl range . I have not tried the shampoo because I need a clarifying/ anti dandruff shampoo but the conditioner, mask and leave in conditioner are amazing. They leave my tick curly hair feeling amazingly soft. They have some of the ingredients that you always mention like citric acid, amodimethicone, etc. Love it
Abbey have you ever tried asian/korean shampoo and conditioners? Like the famous tsubaki line and Shiseido also has a Fino line like the hair mask. Ive been using the fino conditioner and LOVING it but id love to see your thoughts on them all!
Dove bond strength is terrible for my fine hair. It does condition very well but when I wake up the next morning it’s just so weighed down and my natural texture is gone.
could you please try the cerave's shampoo and conditioner line? Like the adult one not the baby shampoo. I want to know how you feel about it because I recently developed fragrance sensitivity and I need a fragrance free option, and I see that it has some ingredients you recommend like amodimethicone, but your reviews have really lead me in a good direction with haircare and I don't want to give up the hair routine I've developed.
@@AbbeyYung If you have a chance any recommendations for a fragrance free alternative to pantene volume and body or a fragrance free clarifying shampoo would be helpful, but I know you prefer fragranced products which makes sense just if there's any good options you know of I'd love to hear them
This video could not have come out at a better time. I have Pureology, Amika, and Not Your Mother all a-mazing products that have brought my bleached hair back to life so thank you for the recommendations. I was at the drugstore yesterday trying to figure out if I should get Dove Intense or Dove Bond and wondering the difference between them. I was thinking of DMing Abby that very question than boom this video appears today answering my very question. Thank you Abby I trust you implicitly.
THANK YOU for this I am desperate to keep and fix my hair -- it used to be beautiful and I would have to do nothing to it, now it's splitting, thinning, shedding, falling out -- my goodness, I NEEDED this
Not me over here with thin/fine hair (lots of it) and loving ALL of these 😂 I use them interchangeably based on my scent interest for that shower…but the complete gang is always on the roster! 🥰
I would love to see your thoughts on the new dove hair masks that look exactly the same as the dove bond strength mask (just with slightly different names and descriptions!)
Abbey would you consider doing a video on which oribe products are worth it? I have a gift card but im unsure what to buy. The only one I hear about is the gold lust but I don't have damaged hair.
Anything that is listed after fragrance is almost negligible. Think about how much fragrance is in that one bottle, it's about a few drops, and then one of them has coconut oil listed after that..... @cvonsutphen I've enjoyed every single one of the JVN products but my two favs are instant recovery serum and the bond gloss. Couldn't do without 'em now!
Hi! 😊 I've been following all of your hair growth routine advices. My mid-lengths and ends are healthy and shiny, but the top is frizzy. 😩 Any tips to reduce frizz without making my hair greasy? 🙏
I thought I’d stop by this channel to see the latest video - I’m surprised to see so many products that are out now! Maybe one of these will help my irritated scalp too! 👍🎉
I love how many times I’ll be watching another video on TH-cam and I hear them say “I heard about this from abbey yung”. I’m like yeaaah that’s my girl!
@@AbbeyYung i went to Ashley in Mpls for consult , loved her !! In Naples for winter but have full appointment in June. I’m so excited thanks for the great referral‼️
Please please can you give us some recommendations of good hair products for those of us who can’t use strong fragrances?? I’ve tried most of your recommended shampoos and conditioners, and they’ve all smelled so strong that it makes me dizzy. You’re the queen of hair care reviews, so please help us sensitive girls out🙏🙏
I’m excited to give some of these a try! Any recs on which might be good for curly hair or if there are particular shampoo+conditioners that are best for curls? I feel like there is so much conflicting information out there about products for curls. I have medium-fine hair prone to some frizz and I just can’t seem to find the right products for me. Open to anyone’s tips or recommendations! 😊
@ No, thank you! I went from pricing extensions which would’ve probably wrecked my hair to trusting the Epres, K18, Pureology process and my hair has never looked and felt better. 💜
Im unfortunately doing project pan and have 2 conditoners to get through before I can buy more but I use shampoo more quickly so I was able to buy the loreal bond shampoo and its so nice I want to get the conditioner to match it so badly
I used to watch you 2 years ago when I was on a natural hair care journey… now my shit is bleached x2 dyed teal and cut into a bob bc of the damage i did. joining in for the hair care journey again 😆 I loveeeeeeee the Pantene leave in it never weighs my hair down! The L’Oréal bonding is pretty good ONLY WITH a clarifying shampoo but the dove bond strength I think I love more. Makes my hair soft. I tried the verb bonding mask I got at tj maxx and it’s amazing for frizz AND SUPER SOFTNESS ❤
Pantene miracle rescue leave in spray has been amazing on my hair.. love it! Abbey, do you have any recommendations on scalp serum that promotes hair growth? There are so many of them it’s so overwhelming. Need recommendations for something effective and not expensive. Thanks!
yay so glad you love! My top recommendation for root anchorage (preventing excess shedding + prolonging the growth cycle) is the Nioxin Ultimate Power serum but it's definitely a category I need to explore more!

Yeah I would just get the conditioner in these sets and go with a more basic shampoo if you want to save $ that's what I do usually I like to mix and match.
@@sadieadler4383 save money? more basic shampoo? It's literally under $4
I get awful dandruff and the only shampoo I can use is Head and Shoulders. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to use a full shampoo/conditioner set- I’ve always had to mix and match. I always get good results though, so these fancier repair shampoos definitely aren’t a necessity and might do more harm than good depending on your scalp condition
I know it’s expensive, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on Kerastase! I’ve heard it’s the true GOAT of hair care
I love the leave ins and oils
It’s only been a month, but your recommendations are absolutely saving my hair, and my daughter’s hair! For the first time ever we have really shiny, smooth and soft hair that’s improving more and more with bond treatments and glosses. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and thorough reviews, recommendations, and example hair routines. I never learned anything about haircare growing up and your videos are immensely helpful!!! L’oreal, Pantene, and Dove especially are just incredible haircare brands.
that's amazing!! I am so happy to hear that 💘
Have you done a video about heat protection? I’m curious about the science behind them and what ingredients to look for.
+1
check out the labmuffinscience video about heat protection! it does a really good job of explain the science behind them and what ingredient to look for
Not in awhile! It's on my list!
Omg yeah these are my favourites too!! Thank your for this video ❤❤

Love you and your content Abbey keep going! ❤❤😊
So glad you enjoyed 🥰
Thank you , I was going to try the Bond Line and now I’m rethinking that.
I totally hear you and get it! So nice to feel like we're treating ourselves. I'll definitely keep testing/reviewing high price point products 😊
Thank you Abbey! If you're taking video topic requests, I hope you consider making one about haircare for color treated hair! What ingredients and products to use that won't strip the color, etc. Thank you!
will add to my list!! xx
I’ve been loving Pantene volume and body and dove bond strength after following your recommendations. So good on my thick and fine hair. ❤
yay! I'm so glad xx
Me too! Pantene volume shampoo and dove bond conditioner ❤
You're the GOAT when it comes to haircare! ❤🙌🏻
❤❤
It’s been about a year since I started following your advice, with fine frizzy damaged hair… this week my hair stylist just told me I really have no visible damage, my hair feels so silky soft… AND using much less expensive products! Thank you Abbey!!!!
I've purchased several of your recommendations and have had great results with them! My hair especially loved the L'Oreal! Unfortunately I didn't love the smell and texture of it... maybe I'll give it another try lol
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Monday haircare!
Love from NY!!
awww thank you so so much! I'm so glad to help 🩷
I just bought the entire L’Oréal system because of you… I hope I love it 🥰
yay!! keep me posted 😊
I’m very excited to see how that works the next couple weeks!!
yay!! I'm so glad and can't wait to hear your updated thoughts! 🩷
FYI.
Yesss those are so great for that hair type!!
i recently just bleached my hair for the first time and your recommendations have really helped my hair to feel healthy than ever before
I love love love Dove’s bond strength set after discovering it through you Abbey. Abbey you are always full of great recommendations and research to back them up ❤❤❤
Same for me and unfortunately the repair is the same for me. Dirty in a day. I might try the Granier.
Good morning! Love your hair care videos! Thank you for all the effort you put into making all your videos.
Good morning! Thanks for watching 🥰
You thoroughness and dedication to quality is impeccable, and thank you so much for being authentic!!
omg I love this!! of course thank you so much for your kind words and for watching my videos 🥰
I love the Dove intense repair for my thin hair. Thank you Abbey for the recommendations✨✨
yay! so great for thin hair xx
P.S. Almost everything I use hair care wise is based on your recommendations so thank you so much!!
yes you are not alone in that! definitely just a bit too heavy for certain hair types. So glad to help 🩷🩷
I have finer hair and it still works out so great for me, the smell is Devine!! lol but it makes my hair so soft and silky!
omg yay so glad you love! and right the smell is incredible 🩷
Thank you for the follow-up on these. I have tried several of them based on your recommendation and agree with your favorites❤❤
yay I'm so glad you love too 🩷
I've tried Pureology Strength Cure, Redken Acidic Bonding, and most recently Dove Bond Strength--the Dove really impressed me! I honestly don't buy any hair care items unless they are Abbey Yung approved 🙂
Great choices 😍
I really like the Redken Hair system, including the leave in conditioner. In order to prevent build-up, I shampoo first using Redken volumizing shampoo prior to shampooing with the bonding dystem. I have very fine hair. Thank you for your videos.
Abbey, could you do a video on purple shampoo/toners for blonde hair? I need help 😅
Love the Garnier lineup, but the bottles are so hard to squeeze, especially the conditioner 😔 you got me on the Dove lines for sure! ❤
If you like the Oribe line, have you tried Kerastaste?
Just started the whole selection of Garnier Fructise hyaluronic products. So far it is the best!
I’m really enjoying the Dove intensive repair shampoo. As soon as my other conditioner is out, I’m getting the Dove conditioner!
you will absolutely love it if you love the shampoo!
@ yay! I also tried the Pantene sheer volume shampoo that you recommended and wow! I use that every few wash days and it helps get rid of product build up so well and my god the VOLUME
Garnier is fabulous for my fine thin hair. I use the Color saving shampoo since I have highlights, and Repairing Conditioner… perfect for me!
The smell of dove wakes me up in the middle of the night. I wish I was as strong .
Shu Uemura clarifying shampoos are amazing - light and not stripping at all
I love Verb ghost and I’d love to see you do that line!
After using finishing my first bottles of Dove Bond Repair yesterday, my hair feels so much better than it has in a really long time! Using Intensive repair this go round. Thank you!
yay!! I love that 🩷
I haven't seen one recently and combed through your videos, but I have similar hair to yours and was wondering if you could do a "best of" drugstore leave-in products? I do use the pantene 10 in 1 spray and it works well, but i feel I need something with a bit more hydration in these dry winter months!
The women in my family are sick of paying $30+ for fancy shampoo and $30+ for the matching conditioner. I totally understand that. They have all gone back to drugstore products and are actually happy. Drugstore products definitely have stepped it up.
So true! I use Redken and love it!! I have thin/fine hair but I think I will try Dove Intense Repair and save myself a little bit of money.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
I’m absolutely loving the Dove Bond Strength conditioner and mask, and I’m excited to try out the Not Your Mothers or Garnier next!
wowww!! this is so incredible to hear yay ❤
TY
I'll try to find some!
TYSM! 🙂
Always love and look forward to your videos/expertise ❤❤❤
thanks so much for watching 🩷
Can you please review Kerastase? 🙏🏼
Great informative video though as always! xx
I wish we all had the same products too!!
Please make a video trying all the different shampoos from Dove, there's so many that are never talked about and I wonder how good they are 👀
love this idea! especially since I think they've been making updates to them
Could you possibly do a video on color safe hair products? I am so afraid to use sulfates and strip the color from my hair that I paid so much for.
this is an interesting topic because ingredients can be added to protect color even if a formula has sulfates! I'll see what some chemists think about this!
hello from germany, i want to thank you because of you i was searching here for the dove hair care and since i found and used it my hair feels sooo soft clean and i absolutly love it
amazing!! I am so glad you love it 🩷🩷 and your English is great!
@@PhuongNguyen-fr2iy danke für den Tipp. Dann schaue ich mal ob ich in unserem Edeka da auch was finden kann😊
I have fine thin hair and highly recommend the Dove Oxygen Moisture shampoo and conditioner.
I need to try the reformulated L'Oreal bond repair. The original scent was horrible and my husband always pointed out how bad my hair smelled. 😅
redkens abc line is my holy grail! it makes my hair feel sooo clean and soft!!
such an amazing system!
@AbbeyYung it really is!! it's my favorite
Love it
Ohhh I will check it out!
Abbey have you ever tried asian/korean shampoo and conditioners? Like the famous tsubaki line and Shiseido also has a Fino line like the hair mask. Ive been using the fino conditioner and LOVING it but id love to see your thoughts on them all!
Great video A!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I will be keeping these in mind next time I need shampoo. I like to try different brands often.
What about Kérastase? No one ever talks about them...and i don't get why
Thanks so much for sharing your favorites with us. 👍🏼
I find dove bond repair a little on the heavy side, this makes me want to try intensive repair ❤
Dove bond strength is terrible for my fine hair. It does condition very well but when I wake up the next morning it’s just so weighed down and my natural texture is gone.
could you please try the cerave's shampoo and conditioner line? Like the adult one not the baby shampoo. I want to know how you feel about it because I recently developed fragrance sensitivity and I need a fragrance free option, and I see that it has some ingredients you recommend like amodimethicone, but your reviews have really lead me in a good direction with haircare and I don't want to give up the hair routine I've developed.
yes!!
I'm so glad to help! ❤
Thank you!! One thing you don’t talk about is shine. Which gives the best shine or what do you use for shine?
Love the new color, gorgeous!
Love these videos! I would love a video comparing all of Dove’s shampoos! Specifically argan oil & repair shampoo & conditioner! ❤
yes I am so intrigued now that they've revamped everything!!
THANK YOU for this
I am desperate to keep and fix my hair -- it used to be beautiful and I would have to do nothing to it, now it's splitting, thinning, shedding, falling out -- my goodness, I NEEDED this
Not me over here with thin/fine hair (lots of it) and loving ALL of these 😂 I use them interchangeably based on my scent interest for that shower…but the complete gang is always on the roster! 🥰
I would love to see your thoughts on the new dove hair masks that look exactly the same as the dove bond strength mask (just with slightly different names and descriptions!)
Adore you Abbey! You already know you've changed my hair life! Liquid Gold baby! 😉😘
awww thank you so much 💘 and yessss!
That amount of coconut oil would be completely negligible and do nothing. I use that fragrance ranking in the list as a good measure, look at all the proteins listed ABOVE the fragrance in the Dove bond strength shampoo, it seems to be a much better formula to me
Welcome to February, Abbey!❤
Happy February!
If you haven't tried the new JVN hair rapid repair bond gloss, it's absolutely amazing and so worth it. Highly recommend.
I Love the JVN Undamage set for the fragrance alone, the gloss is on my watch list with the rebranding as Revive.
@cvonsutphen I've enjoyed every single one of the JVN products but my two favs are instant recovery serum and the bond gloss. Couldn't do without 'em now!
@@danielllllllllle Thank you. I also enjoy the serum. I see a JVN order in my future. 😃

You’re the queen of hair care reviews, so please help us sensitive girls out🙏🙏
Drunk Elephant and Necessaire both have great fragrance free shampoos and conditioners.
Hi Abbey! Which of these shampoos are best for not fading my color? Thanks!
You got me on the Pureology Strength Cure bandwagon and I wanted to hate it because of the price, but it’s my favorite.
omg whattt thank you so much 😭🩷 and I so feel that!! I swear I want to hate most of the expensive products I end up loving 😂
I used to watch you 2 years ago when I was on a natural hair care journey… now my shit is bleached x2 dyed teal and cut into a bob bc of the damage i did. joining in for the hair care journey again 😆
I loveeeeeeee the Pantene leave in it never weighs my hair down! The L’Oréal bonding is pretty good ONLY WITH a clarifying shampoo but the dove bond strength I think I love more. Makes my hair soft. I tried the verb bonding mask I got at tj maxx and it’s amazing for frizz AND SUPER SOFTNESS ❤
hahaha welcome back!! 🩷
