*A few updates!* I will share *full* reviews with more pros and cons to each product soon! I’m still in the process of testing them separately so I haven’t fully made up my mind on all of the products. I will say the powder doesn’t quite lock my makeup into place as well as other powders I’ve tried but I think it could be an amazing option for someone with dry or normal skin who enjoys a glowy look. This formula tends to enhance my pores and texture as the day goes on and you can even see it by the end of this video. However, I do think there are people who will really enjoy this formula because of the glow- it’s a unique feature I don’t get from many other formulas! I find the Thirst Burst Drops to be very similar in texture and finish to the Glow Recipe Dew Drops. Definitely a great option if you don’t want to spend the money on Glow Recipe or you prefer a formula without the watermelon scent! I personally don’t think the brow pen is worth the money. It’s a little bit too subtle and it feels like it’s already drying out after the first few uses. If you like an incredibly natural look, you might like the subtly of this product compared to NYX or Milani though!
Loved the whole look, everything turned out so pretty on you! I’ve actually seen a lot of people use the powder almost like a finishing powder to just add a subtle glow and blend everything together on the cheeks! I picked it up and gonna try it like that..I can’t believe that palette though, I saw they had launched that and thought it looked just like the etherial palette, that’s awesome for people that passed on the original…Can’t wait for more videos of drugstore products to come, I get so excited when you post them😂
I love the pressed version of the halo glow powder! The loose one makes me look really shiny!! I definitely recommend the pressed powder if anyone here didn’t like the loose one.
I found the Elf powder in both my Walmart and Ulta and agree the light neutral shade seemed dark so I bought the cool shade. I haven’t tried it out yet. This look came out gorgeous on you! The deeper powder bronzer shade looks so natural with the bronzing drops. I feel some experimenting in my near future. This is my favorite type of your videos. I’ve missed your regular content.
So happy you and family are feeling better! I live on fixed income and ELF cosmetics has been a blessing for me! Affordable products that perform as good or sometimes better than more expensive ones! ELF has come such o long way since $1 lipsticks and eye pencils! I mix the liquid contour/bronzer fair and fair medium from ELF also. I bought the halo glow pressed powder and I love it! On TikTok, I got a Tatbrow brow pen and omg I LOVE IT! I have extremely sparse brows and this pen is a small tri-tip pen. So it draws 3 thin lines at a time. I have never done my brows so quickly and made them look so good and natural! It was 6 months before I had to replace it and that’s using it 5 days a week every single week. The staying power is unreal! It’s not coming off without cleanser. I highly recommend trying it! I just finally had to purchase my 2nd one a few weeks ago. I found that it can put out alot of product right at first so I actually store mine standing up with the fluid at the bottom and the tip it at the top and that totally took care of that issue.

Hey, what's up, hello! 👋🏾 Thank you for the reviews in this video. That palette looks like it is a great option for those who couldn't get the MBM palette and for a WAAAYY better price. I just wanted to share my thoughts about the brow pen by E.L.F. I think you should give it another chance after a few days. When I purchased it, I used it right out of the packaging and had the same results. It felt dry and not much product would come out. I shook it like a salt shaker until I couldn't shake it anymore and still nothing! I put it in a drawer because I wasn't ready to throw it away. I took it out while watching your video and tried it again, and Vióla, product with pigment came out of the very fine tip and it actually showed up on my brows. I already had brow product on( the E.L.F Wow Brow) and you could still see the pen on top of it. So my conclusion was the tip just needs a couple of days to get juiced up for the product to deposit on the brows. Give it another go after you shake it to death and let it sit in a drawer for like 5 days,lol! I know that's a lot of work to get a product to work, but hey now I don't have to throw it away or waste the money I spent on it! I hope this helps... If this works for anyone, and you read this, give it a like so I know I didn't type this dissertation for naught,lol! LoVe...💜

I'm looking forward to hearing how these products wear over time! I'm super excited about the powder. The loose powder can be too glowy to apply under my eyes, so this might be a great alternative. My neutral eyeshadow palette needs to be decluttered, the Lorac Pro Matte palette, so the new Elf palette would be a great replacement...and save money too. I still love the quads, especially I Love You a Latte. Do the lip oils truly look glittery? They looked more shimmery on camera, which I love! Elf has been bringing it! I've been using 2 Fine as Fleck shadows constantly for the past month and also loving the Glimmer Lip oils in Opal-alogy Tour and Crystal Baller are just too goid!🎉❤ happy new year!!!
I am so happy to see you testing testing all the products that I’ve been excited and considering. I have the ELF shimmer lip oil in Princess Cut and I want more. So pretty!! I spend A lot of money on Glow Recipes few drops. This is my 4th or 5th bottle and it really adds up. I’d love to try this one. I also just got the Camo bronzer and I’m liking so far. I’ve loved the camo blushes so I bought one of the new shades and it’s beautiful. I need more shades. I’ve got 4 and want more. It’s a great formula just have to be careful with darker shades

I found the best way to use the NYX brow pencil is to flick on your strokes by using the side of then pen instead of going right in with the tip. Also, hold far back on the pen.
I love ELF! Most of their products anyway. I def want to try the thirst burst. I have dry skin and have to keep it moisturized and hydrated all the time. I hadn’t even heard of that product until you used it. My favorite ELF powder is the Camo powder and I think it’s actually a foundation powder. If I use it I get some additional coverage but I still go in with a light hand. I like the formula of the elf shadow in those pans. I have one of them that is a more neutral color story. I think I would like that one too tho! So pretty! I cannot do a brow pen. They’re all different and I’ve tried and I just cannot master them. So for me it’s a pencil or sometimes I use the elf 4 pan brow palette. I love that! I also really like the elf oil makeup remover, the balm makeup remover, the holy hydration face cream, the eye cream, and I have the roller ball serum thing for under my eyes that I like. I could definitely see that being the case, especially since the Halo Glow Liquid Filter is during CT’s Hollywood Flawless Filter! I don’t think they quite got the formula right though (if that is the case). This one definitely has more of a glow!

For brow pens, try the Nabla one if you haven't! Not a drugstore brand, but their stuff goes on sale somewhat frequently at Ulta. I got it for 30 or 40% off recently bringing it almost to drugstore pricing, and I really like it so far. Very fine tip and precise! And although I don't have dark hair so can't speak on the darker shades, I know the blonde shade is more ashy toned compared to all the other brands that usually make their blonde brow shades warmer.
I want to try the power grip matte primer so bad. Clearly it's duping the Milk one. Which I love. And I am loving the new Elf powder. It's so pretty, and gives some great coverage for a powder. I love the luminosity that it gives. I don't like all of Elf's products, but I love the powder and can't wait to try the primer. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new glittery lip oils. They are stunning.
I need a new moisturizer, ran out of one and very little in the one I still have. I love the watermelon 🍉 scent, but everything I've tried has reacted poorly. So I might try that ELF serum. 🤔

I been sleeping on niacinamide for so long so I’m excited to see elf coming out with a product. I’ve been really loving my good molecules toner with niacinamide tho and that’s also a great price
Oh I love Good Molecules too! They definitely make so many of my favorite products. For some reason, I always thought my skin didn’t love niacinamide but over the past year I’ve definitely been enjoying products with it in them!

I always get a last day of sale email for sites & I’m super bummed cuz there’s actually several things from them I want. Still wanna place the order. I have unruly brows & always use benefit 24hr brow setter, but their newer brow gel im tempted to try even tho every time I try a diff one it doesn’t hold my brows. It’s such an interesting texture! I still can’t decide if I like it better than something that is mattifying and smoothing like the elf Liquid Poreless Putty Primer!
@ I’m kind of having the same problem! Trying to decide if I want to try the ELF Power Grip Matte or Milani’s Conceal & Perfect Blur Out Smoothing Primer more. I’m sure they’d be good for different situations. (It would be interesting to see how the Milani compares to ELF’s Poreless Putty too!)
The halo glow powder is the solid version of their liquid glow. I wouldn't apply it all over my face, but only on the places where I want a glow, like when you apply highlighter, you don't want it all over your face unless you have dry skin all over. And it's a finishing powder, but you used it as a setting powder in the center of your face, which is why you noticed more pores and textured skin. I think you didn't use it as intended and should use it only as a finishing powder in specific areas of your face. I'd also apply it with a fluffy brush instead of pressing it in with a puff.
The Maybelline Build-a-Brow (in ash brown) is easily my favorite brow pen and gel. Better than the NYX or any others I’ve tried. The only problem is it doesn’t come with enough gel and I can’t find a dupe for it.
Do you find the regular halo glow to have makeup lock in all day or do you think the pressed is about the same? Halo Glow is my favorite of all time but I do get worried because it does wear off easier for me
I don’t find the loose version to lock my makeup into place as well as some of the other loose powders I love. I feel like it’s very light and natural so it’s better for more natural makeup days. I feel like the pressed version is slightly heavier than the loose version and a little longer-lasting but still not as long-lasting as some of the other powders out there so you might find it wears off easier too!
For some reason the loose Halo Glow powder really irritates my eyes? Of course I don’t try to get it into my eye haha but when using my puff under my eyes and on my eyelid, sometimes a little will get into your tearduct or something - which always happened with that powder and made my eyes itchy and watery. I have no idea why, no other ELF products have caused that issue with me, I love their formulas. I picked up this new powder to try though, and I don’t have that issue! I really like how it wears throughout the day.
Oh no! That’s so strange! There must an ingredient in there that is really irritating to you. I’m glad you don’t experience the same issue with the pressed version. 🙌
I wish you had washed off the glow drops for a matte look. It makes it hard to judge how matte it actually is cause there is the glow still showing through.
Re Elf concealers, my favorite by far is the Flawless Brightening Concealer, but it seems as though they’re fazing it out. 😢 I’m hoping they’ll bring back the formula but in a better delivery method. The pen is wasteful IMO.
I know I really don’t love the minty scent either! At first, I thought the new version didn’t have it but I think it’s still there, just a little less intense. 😭

The halo glow pressed powder reminds me a bit of the physicians formula butter glow pressed powder in translucent glow.

I got it for 30 or 40% off recently bringing it almost to drugstore pricing, and I really like it so far. Very fine tip and precise! And although I don't have dark hair so can't speak on the darker shades, I know the blonde shade is more ashy toned compared to all the other brands that usually make their blonde brow shades warmer.

I want to try the power grip matte primer so bad. Clearly it's duping the Milk one. Which I love. And I am loving the new Elf powder. It's so pretty, and gives some great coverage for a powder. I love the luminosity that it gives. I don't like all of Elf's products, but I love the powder and can't wait to try the primer. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new glittery lip oils. They are stunning.
I need a new moisturizer, ran out of one and very little in the one I still have. I love the watermelon 🍉 scent, but everything I've tried has reacted poorly. So I might try that ELF serum. 🤔

I been sleeping on niacinamide for so long so I’m excited to see elf coming out with a product. I’ve been really loving my good molecules toner with niacinamide tho and that’s also a great price
Oh I love Good Molecules too! They definitely make so many of my favorite products. For some reason, I always thought my skin didn’t love niacinamide but over the past year I’ve definitely been enjoying products with it in them!
@ right! Me too! I think it’s because the first 2 products I tried with niacinamide were really thick and sticky and that wasn’t something I was looking for in a skin care product especially going bare faced

I always get a last day of sale email for sites & I’m super bummed cuz there’s actually several things from them I want. Still wanna place the order. I have unruly brows & always use benefit 24hr brow setter, but their newer brow gel im tempted to try even tho every time I try a diff one it doesn’t hold my brows. @ I’m kind of having the same problem! Trying to decide if I want to try the ELF Power Grip Matte or Milani’s Conceal & Perfect Blur Out Smoothing Primer more. I’m sure they’d be good for different situations. (It would be interesting to see how the Milani compares to ELF’s Poreless Putty too!)
The halo glow powder is the solid version of their liquid glow. I wouldn't apply it all over my face, but only on the places where I want a glow, like when you apply highlighter, you don't want it all over your face unless you have dry skin all over. And it's a finishing powder, but you used it as a setting powder in the center of your face, which is why you noticed more pores and textured skin. I think you didn't use it as intended and should use it only as a finishing powder in specific areas of your face. I'd also apply it with a fluffy brush instead of pressing it in with a puff.

The Maybelline Build-a-Brow (in ash brown) is easily my favorite brow pen and gel. Better than the NYX or any others I’ve tried. The only problem is it doesn’t come with enough gel and I can’t find a dupe for it.

Sounds like the powder is similar to the Huda Glowish powder that is being discontinued.
Ooo yes! I haven’t tried that one but the way I’ve heard people describe it is very similar to the way this one looks and feels!
Do you find the regular halo glow to have makeup lock in all day or do you think the pressed is about the same? Halo Glow is my favorite of all time but I do get worried because it does wear off easier for me
I don’t find the loose version to lock my makeup into place as well as some of the other loose powders I love. I feel like it’s very light and natural so it’s better for more natural makeup days. I feel like the pressed version is slightly heavier than the loose version and a little longer-lasting but still not as long-lasting as some of the other powders out there so you might find it wears off easier too!

It did say to hold the pen upside down for 15 seconds to saturate the tip and to shake before every use maybe that’s the issue
For some reason the loose Halo Glow powder really irritates my eyes? Of course I don’t try to get it into my eye haha but when using my puff under my eyes and on my eyelid, sometimes a little will get into your tearduct or something - which always happened with that powder and made my eyes itchy and watery. I have no idea why, no other ELF products have caused that issue with me, I love their formulas.
I picked up this new powder to try though, and I don’t have that issue! I really like how it wears throughout the day.

Re Elf concealers, my favorite by far is the Flawless Brightening Concealer, but it seems as though they’re fazing it out. 😢 I’m hoping they’ll bring back the formula but in a better delivery method. The pen is wasteful IMO.
