Yeah they looked pretty little on bait, but it made for a exciting set and a bit nerve wrecking when she came back right at dark an I needed to climb down and walk out! Lol
Lol I bet. I had a sow with 3 cubs at one of my baits this year too
awesome video. not always going to get one, just being up and out in the woods, is what it's all about. we were up there at my camp for the 3rd hunt and it was crappy weather. high winds every day and hard rain every day. our baits weren't even getting hit like they were just 2 days before the hunt started. any way were going back this week to try again. new subscriber

Keep the baits fresh and if they aren’t being hit within the first week don’t be afraid to start a new location. We baited for a month and had new bears show up 2-3 days before the hunt started. If you are hunting in wolf territory, they love peanut butter, we found that out and stopped getting wolf pics when we stopped putting out peanut butter. We did not. We knew going into it that it would only be the one trip up. 7.5 hrs one way, its just to tough to keep bait going for a return trip. Time to shift focus to Deer Season!

We hunted the 7 days in red oaks finally filled my g.f.s tag on the Saturday before last day. We use hounds . Her first bear it only dressed at 150. We weren't finding anything bigger unfortunately. Supposed to go up to gran Marais next weekend to try to help a friend fill a tag. Hope the wolves aren't bad.
Congrats and good luck! We had Wolves on camera at all six of our bait sites but didn't here or see any during the hunt. Did had one cross in front of us while baiting the week before opener.
