    Thats pretty cool RV SnapPads made a pad for the Anderson blocks. Although we don't have a fifth-wheel or trailer, I can totally understand why you would want to use the Andersen blocks. It makes sense. We love our SnapPads and it was 1 of the first things we bought for our Class A's. Great info and thanks for sharing!

    I don’t use anything under my hitch jack. When I first started I use to build a base using the Camco blocks. More then once I had the jack base shift on those blocks and it freaked me out. Likely it was my fault, but putting the jack right on the ground gives me one less thing to worry about even if it does lead to slightly less stability. I do use the SnapPads and I really like them.

    Good point about lots of travel days vs more staying put for storage and setup/teardown times.

    You taught me something today. That is awesome. I love my buckets. But I think this is a great addition to those. Now I just need to ask the wife's permission to buy these.

    Nice, didn’t know.

  • @vernonsculthorpe5188

    Concerning the Anderson Buckets, I've been using them to illiminate the distance the stabilizers had to extend. However, in one instance, I backed into a Concrete pad that was lower in elevation than the front and ran into a problem. The problem was since I used the buckets in the front of my 5th wheel only, when I used auto level, the front could not dip down enough to level up with the back. So it tripped a breaker (to the hydraulic motor). Once I discovered what had happened to my power and reset the breaker, I had to put the tongue back on my truck so I could remove the buckets. Once that was done, it leveled up just fine. I use both the buckets and the snap pads and find that they are great. However, I think before using the buckets on the front to stabilizers, check to see how different the elevation s are from front to back.

    The Andersen Blocks make more sense to me than the Snap Pads because of the height BUT our coach is 22,500 DRY and I'm afraid they just would not hold up under our weight. And because we more often than not use some sort of block anyway that gives us height and a wider footprint the Snap Pads make no sense to me at all. But thanks for sharing, always love seeing new stuff.

    What I really want is a normal snap pad that fits into an Anderson bucket. I don’t always want to use the buckets but do want to always have the snap pad on

    Do they "snap" onto the buckets? If not, why not? I will definitely be checking these out and appreciate the heads up on them. Lots of gravel when setting up and concerned about our footing on the Anderson buckets.

    Did you consider another option to have Snap Pads permanent and use Stomberg Carlson Base Pad Extreme buckets that can be utilized with Snap Pads already installed?

  • @crissychristensen1211

    Just for clarification... the Snap Pads attatch "permanently" to the foot of each leveling jack, but the Snap Pad RV base only rests under the Anderson block, correct?

  • @keithdouglass
    @keithdouglass ปีที่แล้ว

    Doesn’t look like SnapPad had the RV base available on their website yet

  • @sreimert

    Why not just use 4x4 and plywood to make jacking blocks? Use pressure treated wood and coat with water seal and you're done for like $50. You could even splurge for some handles to attach to the side to make them easier to . . . handle.
