You’re not lying sis, nutrition is number one. I have slacked lately in my nutrition, l have to go back to it again. When l was eating healthy my hair grew faster , no joke. Scalp massager is not a joke at all, l have grown hair within 9 days with using a massaging gadget , it works.
I’m guilty of not doing enough of scalp massages but I’ll get there. I’m probably close to waist length maybe im there already haven’t done a lenght check since the year started. I love my hair I want my hair to thrive so I enjoy watching videos like these to educate me more
Thank you for this video. For many years my hair was down my back, maybe to my waist. Several years ago for stress reasons my hair broke off, and because I didn't get back to consistent care it stayed at shoulder length. In April 2023 I did the big chop myself and started a consistent health hair care routine. My hair retained 6 inches in 8 months. Now my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Many of the tips you shared I use. Yesterday while shopping I bought a scalp massager for the first time. I use to just use my fingers but now I will use both. I will also use it when washing my hair. 👍🏽🤗🌹🙏🏽💖
ugh! stress is the silent killah of all things. im so happy you made the changes and saw results. blessings to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and Im so happy for your continued healthy hair journey
Thank you for sharing these tips! By the way, your hair is waist-length. The waist is the narrowest part of the torso. Mid-back is where your bra-strap is, you're definitely past that.
Your hair is midback length like mine. I started 2024 with a trim and will evaluate for a trim seasonally. Next goal is thicker, healthier waist length hair.🎉
I just wash dry and four braids. After it dries i take it down and pull into a curly pony tail. I use a different shampoo depending on the season. Winter more moisture. I love this video because many young ladies and women are learning to take care of their hair on yt. I have been natural since 1990. My hair is down my back i get it cut once a year because i only allow one person to trim my hair. But above all i ask God to keep me healthy and vibrant and to help me to take care of my body which includes my hair. And He does.
Great tips! Remember, all hair needs some protein, especially high porosity hair. A good protein-moisture balance helps her hair stay moisturized longer. Your hair looks so healthy. New subscriber.
I used to trim my hair every 6-8 weeks, but once I started adding No. 7 oil to my ends and rosemary tea oil to my scalp, I haven’t had to do that. I also started doing the deep moisturizing treatments more consistently and introduced scalp massage. So it’s been growing longer and not splitting than before. Oh, and I’m keeping my hair tied up. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience.

I disagree with the logic behind speeding up hair growth. The example you gave about shedding isn’t talking about ‘speed’ but the act of hair falling out for an external process and in the of stressors it is a pathological process. But if you are not going through any pathological reasons that can cause detrimental effects on your hair, then the speed of hair is 95% dependent on genes, same with density and thickness of strand Now can that 5% exist? Absolutely, but it would take considerable effort that may or may not have an effect and again I mean from a person that is in a normal state so eating healthy, drinking water and everything. That’s just my thought So I recommend people that are healthy to just focus on retaining your length than trying to control a factor that is largely dependent on something you have no control over.
The rate our hair sheds is also a genetic factor. The example I gave was to prove that genes in general can be affected by behavioral factors including things that cause stress which results in excessive shedding. Growth, color, shed, texture all based on genes. However, the point I’m making is that epigenetics can alter the way our genes work. It doesn’t change the dna just how our dna reacts. I understand epigenetics is controversial but I was giving a general example. And I believe it WHOLEHEARTEDLY cause sis is a grower of .5 inches normally but I incorporated scalp massages, drinking teas, and I’m at an inch. And for sure, def retain the length by doing the required actions but it would be cool if I can retain more by growing more
