As far as trimming my ends, I find what works best for me is 'Dusting' my ends every other month. When I say dusting my ends, I mean very, very lightly trimming the tips of my hair. There is actually no noticeable difference in the length of my hair when I do this. And it keeps my ends healthy so it never needs a trim. Also, I do this myself, I would never trust anyone else with scissors near my hair. LOL😊 Healthy ends are important to healthy retention in my opinion.
Wow, you look stunning!! Coating my ends has definitely been a game changer. I learned that from the blowout professor. Women with straight hair wear their hair down a lot, and you wonder why it doesn’t break off. A lot them put oils at the end everyday. I’ve been on the natural journey for 15 years now and my hair is still at shoulder length due to doing the opposite of what you shared. Goodness! I’m now at the stage where I understand my hair now. ❤ great video and so affirming of what I learned.
@@CoilyCode good morning and thank you! Coating/sealing my ends has been a game changer as well. Keeping them moisturized has allowed me to retain more length.

You look lovely today. I agree with what you have said. People are still trying to jump on trends and still find that magic product that grows your hair overnight. We just need to be patient with our hair, eat well, drink water, exercise, wash hair regularly and include a good deep conditioner. People are still refusing to believe this. I have noticed the trend too with not washing hair regularly, putting raw egg in hair, some people still doing the rice water thing. They're just making it too complicated. Now that I know better I am just taking it easy, enjoying my hair and loving the results.

Girl you have helped me change my hair life! I just want to thank you for going through all these details in your videos, sharing your opinion and for being consistent. Thank you. I’m so grateful.
I literally get a headache if I put my hair up or my braid is too tight. I asked my stylist about it, and she was like "TBH we not meant to have our hair up and tight, so I would look at is as a blessing" I prefer twists, because its easier to get clean parts and do it correctly, and comfortable to sleep in. My hair is mid back at this point, I'm about 3 inches from waist length. I do alternate between heat styles and curls frequently because I understand how to use heat protectant, and high quality products to do that without much damage. I have a spray bottle with one pump of leave-in mixed into it, I spray my hair in sections and give it time to soak up the water. Then I twist it up with warm almond oil, hair grease, or ORS smooth and hold pudding. My hair is healthy, soft, shinny, and long. In the past it looked like a fried birds nest, and only the hair by the nape of my neck would hold any definition. This next part might be too crazy for some people, but I lost a bunch of weight doing a pescatarian diet. I was working on those last 20lbs and they would not go. So I decided to go carnivore after meeting a 45 year old mom of 3 with abs in the locker room. My eyebrows have been sparse my WHOLE LIFE, but within the first 3 months, my nails have become claws and I have hair growing rapidly everywhere. I see little dark black baby hairs growing around my hair line, and I no longer need to fill in my brows. I consume lots of bone broth, raw butter, milk, cheese, beef, and bison. Eggs, salmon and ancestral blend meat (means it has the organ meats included = highly nutrient dense). Hair is literally protein, so if you don't eat enough, are lowkey malnourished, on tons of medication, you don't workout or get much sun light. I don't think your hair will grow as fast it could, or at all. I used to think I had fine weak hair, but after big chopping and investing into my health, my hair grows out of my head thicker, stronger, and heathier. It had nothing to do with my genetics the whole time, I simply was not taking care of my body and it reflected on my hair, skin and nails. I lost the 20lbs, and I don't think I'll go back to eating anything else that's not serving my goals. I ate "normal" on thanksgiving and purposely served myself small amounts, but I broke out still the next day. I've been carnivore since Feb 2024, and haven't had acne at all since about mid march. I noticeably felt lazy/brain fog, so the leftovers was ignored and I went right back to my steak and eggs lol. My man has always had issues growing a full beard, he is only 80% carnivore and his beard is full. We are from different sides of America and race. I highly recommend just eating more protein and cutting out all proceed food, sugars, and carbs. All that does is clog up your system, like putting sugar in a gas tank and expecting your car to run fine. Last tip, I put rosemary in the bone broth and butter, instead of putting it on my scalp.
I like the keep it simple solution. Moisturizing is essential for my hair. Finding a product that works for me has also helped. And you're right, don't do your hair when you're not in the mood or upset.

@@shanitamorenita for me the Rev-air has helped significantly reduce single strand knots and tangles. Styling is easier because the hair is not curling around its self. Also with stretches hair I have noticed my styles last longer and I do not need to moisture as often , stretches hair can allow sebum and/or products to travel down the hair shaft easier. My attention was caught by your mention of a past practice of not washing your hair often. I know you are going to make a video in the future about this however when you said you paid dearly for doing this practice can you tell me what you meant? I've been using the revair and doing so once monthly. Wondered if that was drying my hair out. I'm trying to keep my hair straight to avoid ssk and to keep an eye on my ends for trimming if necessary. Keeping it stretched seems the prudent thing to do.
Good morning! Sure, at that time I was not using the Rev-air, I was not using any heat. I was leaving my hair in a high bun and not washing it. I ended up having to cut 6 inches. I too have found keeping my hair stretched has reduced tangles and SSK which I will talk about in Sunday's video !
Hello! I thought this too! The first time I tried a flexi rod set I used an oil because I was scared my hair would revert, but I used The Camille Rose Spiked Honey Mousse and it came out beautifully.
My question is this: u said leave ur hair alone / low manipulation and it will strive then what abt taking down the braids every 5 days??? Isn't that a bit excessive??? Or is their a balance to this cause I'm really confused. Thanks and by the way, ur hair looks good❤😊
What about cosmetologist that are having a bad day and take things out on our hair? A lot of them have the worst attitudes and start going ham during detangling and at the shampoo bowl as well. But we would be in the wrong if we asked them to stop and called them out. 😖
@@Davian775 we can wear it out :) but don’t fret because a lot of other people who have different hair than us wished they could have the volume and texture of ours. Everybody’s type has trade offs, pros and cons.

6 and 9 months!!!! To keep a weave or braids??Thats just crazy!
I will be watching....thanks for all you do for our natural curly hair community!@@KlassicallyKept
Excellent video! Good point... Why should God give me longer hair if I don't take care of the hair He already gave me?
Hello! I thought this too!
The first time I tried a flexi rod set I used an oil because I was scared my hair would revert, but I used The Camille Rose Spiked Honey Mousse and it came out beautifully.
stunning!!!!!!
Thank you
Amen sister
Your hair is beautiful
thank you
I love the trends and bandwagon part 😂, girl it too many videos of “grow your hair overnight” etc
Those really cream my corn lol.
❤ the big hair
Bigger lol !
So beautiful
@@takenfrl7673 thank you
My question is this: u said leave ur hair alone / low manipulation and it will strive then what abt taking down the braids every 5 days??? Isn't that a bit excessive??? Or is their a balance to this cause I'm really confused. Thanks and by the way, ur hair looks good❤😊
What about cosmetologist that are having a bad day and take things out on our hair? A lot of them have the worst attitudes and start going ham during detangling and at the shampoo bowl as well. But we would be in the wrong if we asked them to stop and called them out. 😖
Our hair is beautiful yet fragile. I’m upset we aren’t able to wear it out like other races or looser textures
@@Davian775 we can wear it out :) but don’t fret because a lot of other people who have different hair than us wished they could have the volume and texture of ours. Everybody’s type has trade offs, pros and cons.
I wear gloves to do my hair so my nails doesn't snag it.
Hi! I love your hair. I just had a few questions if i have low porosity hair and do medium braids as a protective style should i moisture with oil and water only or should i also moisturize with leave in and should it be daily or every other day?

YHWH created all mankind and they are "wonderfully made" and all our hairs are "numbered "
