At 33:51 there was an incredibly disgusting play of giving the Stinger hexproof before the journey to nowhere resolves. That would force the opponent to exile one of their own creatures!
If you're having a hard time milling yourself you should take this advice; See it as if the milled cards were milled from the bottom of your deck. There is no real difference since, as Kenji said, it's random.
This is an addictive set. I was able to build a Dimir kill/counter/mill build a few times. Even had the archive trap. Also got to play a sweet reanimation deck and a sweet cruel ultimatum deck.
Been able to mill a couple opps out but with red white splash black funnily enough. 2 copies of that rb rare that takes cards off of your opps library for each merc you control. Stole someones archive trap off it and really turned the tables on them lol
there are two actually, one red (Demonic ruckus) and one green (reach for the sky), but they are in the only colors Eriette is not in. Simply hillarious
I was passing to you in packs 1 and 3, ended up with a sweet GWr mounts deck. Looking forward to watching this later to see how your picks affected mine.
Genuine question: at 48:28 would it have been worth it to use the harvester's ability to discard itself, shrink the 5/5 and then badlands it pack plus copy it to wipe their whole board? Or would it have been too risky to do that if they had a pump spell or something?
Is it still correct to mill yourself if your deck has zero graveyard synergies or cards that dig? Just so you don’t play into your opponent’s graveyard synergies?
It gives yourself more information too. It can seem like a bummer to mill your great bomb if you have little to no recursion for it, but now you know you won't be drawing that card and can play accordingly.
My last 2 drafts the rares i saw were either unplayable or just fine. Getting unlucky in this set with pick 1s is a sure sign your deck will either go even or negative win loss. The rare/mythic bombs are crucial for winning a lot of matches in this format.
this is my favorite set since like, WoE, but like somebody else said, the bonus sheet sucks. The general gameplay is great, I love plot as a mechanic... and then you get your 3 drop manadrained and the opponent plays a 6 drop on his turn, or they fractured identity or path of exile your bomb... like, these are vintage cube cards, and its not like the main set itself is lacking in terms of powerful bombs. Also, the other half of the bonus sheet is literally unplayable garbage so with sealed pools it feels especially bad when you get all the 0/5 bonus sheet stinkers.
Bonus sheet is dumb and you CAN NOT tell me differently. Seriously. It is a great set and then BOOM, let's play cube for no reason. Lol I will 'path to exile' that creature and then 'fractured identity' that creature...oh and for good measure out of nowhere 'fling' my 8/8 at you after you stabilized the board. The Paul Bunyan knock-off is bad enough, but let's just add a bunch of ridiculous cards you can't account for. Stupid.
not a big fan either but at the same time they add a bit of spice to the format. like mind slaving your opponent at a limited event in 2024 is the funniest thing ever
"The real threat here is them having a flying on board." While having 15 power of reach creature.

oh god you're right.
new cards these days don't punish people for stuff like that, but this is one of the older cards that would have :(
Good look
I really liked this at 49:42
Kenji : So you have a removal
Opponent : I do ?
Kenji : NANI
Just really funny interaction haha

That artifact is also a one sided howling mine that draws the turn you play it to be fair, the discard to make a 3/3 bit seems like just gravy.
Right? This still draws a card every turn right?
Yes @@m17xallp
That artifact is busted. It won me several games. You got to discard right away also so you’ll not be behind.
It's still a bit expensive, but the free spell is a nice way to quickly make up the tempo. Looks very good
@NumotTheNummyYT probably didn't read the card properly

@57:59 ouch >< Haha god damn. On turn 4 with 19 life, the opponent sees the Railway Brawler and leaves. Lol
Eriette is just a hard to cast 4/4 lifelink. There's only 1 aura in this set that isn't removal.
there are two actually, one red (Demonic ruckus) and one green (reach for the sky), but they are in the only colors Eriette is not in. Simply hillarious
1:03:50 why not throw the naturalist on the dog and trade the lifelinker for the Calamity instead?
@NumotTheNummyYT the graveyard hate thing you re thinking of is lions sash from kamigawa I think. The reconfigure graveyard hating equip creature.

33:50 huge punted the blowout
Enjoying watching you play this new set a lot. So far its mch better than MKM and LCI. Appreciate it.
So is this new Gitrog a reference to Mr Toad's WIld Ride?
Is it still correct to mill yourself if your deck has zero graveyard synergies or cards that dig? Just so you don’t play into your opponent’s graveyard synergies?
Yup
Wow I can’t believe you passed Nexus. It’s like a coercive portal with upside.
What else people don't understand is that milling yourself you are always liked to mill more lands than spell, so you can also avoid to flood.
It gives yourself more information too. It can seem like a bummer to mill your great bomb if you have little to no recursion for it, but now you know you won't be drawing that card and can play accordingly.
whats the best two color combination in limited ?
I just realized that the coyot entering the bf sound is a wc3 sound
Dont forget the deserts commit a crime so that 1/2 bird is actually pretty decent
I got to live the Armadillo into Reanimate dream...as fun as you think

Harvester of Misery is like a Wish version of Massacre Wurm. Lower mana cost, same ETB effect, but lower P/T and without the creature dying effect.
Nexus of becoming seems very good in a long game.
Nice lethal a spot un game 3
Some serious amount of misery was harvested here.
This format is so bomby

Nice :)
I’ve milled my bombs way too many times to trust arena.
They choose to mill you instead of themselves because they want to deck you.
Been playing against a lot of 8 rare decks. It's real annoying
numot the numest
BUT WHAT IF I MILL MY BOMBS!?
They messed up the keywords. Foretell and plot needs to be switched...
Nexus is a bomb 💣
the brawler is a joke its way to strong ... glad its mythic as rare it would be horrible format changing
In the meantime, Bonny Pall is a rare...
algorithm

mad cuz bad (jk lol)

@molusk1013 Haha. Never said I was good. Apparently I am worse than I thought.
My sentiments exactly. This is a mini cube they created, maybe testing the waters and I think I am hating it since I'm opening garbage.
