    Just so you know, what you are doing is cold soldering. You are not supposed to go from the top with the soldering gun while touching the solder wire. You are supposed to place the solder gun underneath the wire with the solder wire on top; this way the solder wire can melt right into the copper wires for perfect internal connection

    I am going to build that nifty wire holder. So many wire holders are crap - but yours is AMAZING! Thanks very much.

    Wow great video and methods! I love the way you did that 2-wire T connection. I am working on a classic car next week and need to make a connection like that. I am going to do it your way! Thank you!! 🙂🙂

    Like the splice in the middle of the wire good for multiple led lights on a long wire. Just what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing...

    Ok, no how to heat shrink a 3 way joint??

    Bluetack works really well if you don't have a clamp. especially for smaller gauge wire.

    Can I also do this in a brushless motor?

    You can add heat shrink tubing for electrical isolation and corrosion prevention

    How do you put heat shrink tubing on the final T connection?

    • @johnmacedo4483
      @johnmacedo4483 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You don't. You have isolate the wires with electrical isolating tape.

      Lay parallel with one of the main wires, slip it over.

      @@johnmacedo4483 could you use that isolating brush on goop that dries on?

      @@Jerbrown: You could. But í honestly prefer the tape.

    When soldering multiple cables like the yellow example, can we use a solder splice?

    How can I wired 3 wires together? I'm doing my headlights so I have to get 2 ground wires one from each low/high socket and wired it to the stock ground wire from the truck. Does anyone know how to wire it?

    I use a lighter and my thumbnail to remove the insulation under my shade tree lol

    • @rabbitdrink

      dont do that, it still leaves a nasty coating on the wires and then its a bad connection. a knife will do a better job if you dont have a real wire stripper

  • @joshellis8063
    @joshellis8063 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    This is the incorrect way cold soldering. Should have known by you using nail clippers to strip the wire! Don’t follow these instructions
