The $2 grand was Cloud's fee for helping Avalanche bomb the first reactor in Remake. This has become a running joke as now, when team members are needed, their asking price is $2 grand for their services

Actually the joke was the "handjob" Cloud got from Madam M in Remake costing about 1k. Which is why Aerith said the price is about 2 of those sessions
It even goes even deeper back to cloud being offered 2000$ gil from his mom beofre leacing for shinra; cloud never took this money as he never thought he needed it, yet comes back to this number when being asked for a price for his services; an intresting way of tying zack and his mother together
Also the part with the standard course has something to do with madame M in remake where the standard course was 1 grand, so 2 courses means 2 grand

4:25 The standard course twice joke refers to one of Madam M’s happy ending massage called Standard Course back in Wall Market which costs 1000 gil and depending on your action in Remake, Aerith saw Cloud take the course hence the joke lol

Depending on which course Cloud got, Aerith either heard him screaming in pain or moaning in pleasure.

the 2k joke was cuz that was what Cloud asked for back in midgar. when Cloud said it first I was like "oh, he's funny." when Barret was like "for 2 grand!" I laughed so hard. Barret got jokes this time 😂 when he said it again it was even funnier 😂 I'm glad they put that in script.
also, the game over music at the end of the chicken quest had me shook but also laughing hysterically 😂😂😂
