Hey Kouhai! I am starting up a Patreon to help make bigger and better videos. If you want to support for just $1 a month, head over to www.patreon.com/chefpk
I love how he started this by saying "I'm gonna eat and train like Yuji who eats everything he loves", eats everything Yuji would and gets almost unmotivated then decides to eat what HE loves and feels so good about it. It's almost full circle :)
Yeah it was super nice to see he didn't force himself to just eat that kind of food for the whole week and I bet Yuji would also love the food he ate in the video anyway so it's not that far off from eating like Yuji lol. My boy ate Sukuna's finger he would not be picky with his food. 😆
I've practiced taekwondo for years as well and honestly it's great to see you working on it. We weren't competitive/sports style like this group, but it's always great to see the martial art that made me passionate about them being practiced
You did great I just think you shouldn't compare yourself "a newbie" to someone with 9 YEARS of experience. Great job going out there and learning something new!
these anime videos are actually great for my mental health! i’ve been recovering from an ed that i’ve had for years and watching videos like this that show food in a positive light and in an entertaining way, so thank you for this ❤
I love this video. The storytelling, the cuts between food and training, all the explanations, the kicks in the head, and the wholesome pizza party end. Also the meals seems easy enough, quick and nutrisius. Want to try them.
Congrats on earning your white belt Paul! But as you know, a student never stops learning! Gotta train hard and earn your belts! Going once or twice every couple of weeks is great fun and exercise to break up stagnation. Do your best and thanks for showing us all you do!
Also just wanted to give you major props for this long-form video. I know it took a LOT of work to prep, film, and edit to its current version and it was incredibly well done. The pacing was just right and was enjoyable to hear your experiences from top to bottom. The post-workout would-rather-take-a-nap-than-eat feeling is so relatable, just like needing a treat to decompress and get you through the rough days. Thank you and Rachel and the taekwondo school for sharing this with us. ❤
This was so fun to watch. I love that you trained with our studio. Master DJ is awesome with all of our kids. Great job Chef PK! Taekwondo training isn't easy.
I think this is one of my favorite videos. Well done! martial arts can be very daunting and sparring even more so. I think through out the video you really capture well what it would feel like for any beginner starting pretty much anything, you work hard and still get kicked in the face. However, I think that's exactly how we grow as people. Amazing video! Please keep doing your best! This video really is a testament to your work ethic and warrior spirit. Thank you for being an inspiration.
as someone that practices karate i can agree and me personally i absolutely DESPISE sparring while my sister loves it (we’re the same grade of 5th kyu) but after a while of training even little physical effort can help train your body and enhance stuff like stamina etc
The leg raising penalty came around 7 years ago. I remember doing Taekwondo around that time heard about a couple new rules and raising your leg without kicking was one of them
This was one of your most awesome videos! So much work between the cooking, the training, the sparring, and even the eating despite exhaustion. You're getting into the best shape of your life, I bet!
I’ve probably said this before, but you are hands down my hero and role model. I’m so grateful for you and all the inspiration and encouragement you’ve give me throughout the years. Love you and all that you do. Thanks you for everything
My advice for martial arts training is to do things with an empty head. Though I will admit this is easier said than done. As Bruce Lee said: "Don't think. Feel." This made learning techniques MUCH easier. Also, it's best to perform what you CAN do, so that you don't end up hurting yourself trying to do what others are able to do.
Thats where the muscle memory comes in. You practice the move over and over to counter certain attacks so when you receive the attack you dont think, you just react. That spinning back kick was always a favorite of mine whenever someone charged at me. I would even throw my hands up over my face like I was panicking before spinning and shooting out my foot.
This has quickly become my favorite video of yours! So much time, effort, and dedication. It really makes me want to get moving again... and to also make those meatballs! Keep up the great work, Chef!
Loving this video Chef! I've been a long time lurker coming from the days you did anime watch alongs so it's awesome to see you grow and doing this intense longer form video. Just like how you got started you came in with a plan to follow Yuji's Diet but when the training kicked you in the head you took a step away from that and did the things that brought you joy to give you energy so you can power through the rest of the week. Congratulations on getting your white belt and for getting through such a gruelling week. Even whilst you were training, prepping and getting beaten up you were still recording keeping in mind about how you wanted your video to look like the entire time adding another layer of stress. You really pushed yourself to the limit here mentally and physically. Excellent work and good job! You're amazing. You even managed to tie it back to Jujutsu Kaisen somehow finding time in your busy week to get together the mochi and truly cherishing the brilliant community that you've found yourself in. Thank you Chef! I'm wishing you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
The sense of community and the way you push each other to do better is making my eyes water. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your humble journey ((I also love how he got you back for the crotch shot trifold LOL ))
