I love the designs that appear from brushing the dye on. I can't wait to try this.

I’m so grateful for this video. I bought some food coloring but haven’t found the right video for me. This is IT. Thank you for paving the way for me.

I dye all my papers with food coloring. But I just fill a big pan with water and let them sit in it for awhile. I’ve dyed baking paper too. 😊

I used to do mine that way, but doing it this was my papers dry a whole lot faster. I just graduate the way I stack them and put them in front of a fan and they dry so fast that way.

I have a box of this kind of printer papers as well! I’ll have to dye them. Didn’t even think of adding some colour to them. Thank you for sharing! Marnel

Dying with beet roots makes the paper very dark pink but it stains terribly if you get any splatters. I have white cupboards so I worried while the beets cooked. So this is a perfect alternative that I can do outdoors.

@@marilynmccormick3731 that is great to know. I grew beets this year to can and thought I’d try it. Sounds like an outdoor experiment. Have fun trying these techniques. They really are fun.

I loved all the versions of the 'plum' color. I prefer soft subtle color for antique pages. you might try a packet of muted color paper.

Pretty colors! Now that its warm outside I need to make a stack. In the colder months I microwave or oven dye.💜💙💚

Well now…that is something I haven’t tried. I microwave dry my flowers but never paper. Putting that on my list ladies.

OH I so hope you do. It’s soooo addicting! Today I tried drying them outside and busted out some of my plastic placemats. It wasn’t perfect but still so pretty. I can’t wait to share the outcome of the papers from that and this video. Have a great night and a fun play with paper.

I can only find cherry or black cherry koolaid in the stores here. Any koolaid with "lemonade" in it doesn't work. Love this paper - those colors are GREAT!

I agree yellow kool-aid isn’t the best but add a bit of food color and voila!

I just thought of this. Do you have a Fareway in your town. That’s where I have the best of luck finding a good variety. If not..there is always Amazon to the rescue.

Hey Angela do you like the paste best ? Michael’s sells it. Or the ol fashion liquid ? Grocery !! 🙃you don’t like purple !! That’s amazing - I don’t typically use it either but, lilacs !! I’m working on a lilac journal missing them from Plymouth Massachusetts moved to Fl 99
Left 36 roses 22 lilac trees 2 acres

@@TheJournalCottage they both work well. I think the paste especially after it sat over night in the water was more vibrant. Liquid is way less messy❤️
